You do realize the amount of development that goes into these games right? And if one little thing is wrong, everyone complains about it. Even if it’s just a cosmetic bug, a large majority of the players are going to trash it for all they are worth. It’s stupid. All everyone does these days is complain. “It’s too expensive”, “It has a big, it’s completely broke”, “PvP (in said game) is broke, because I can’t get a win”, except it’s actually just because they just aren’t that good. The list goes on and on… Yes, games do cost a bit more than they used to. About $5 to $10 more than last gen. We also have longer games, more seasonal dlc type games, that continue on way past the original story line, so developers have to dedicate whole groups of people to continue to work on said game for years, while having dedicated groups working on many other games with seasonal content, and then they still have to be in the process of making new games, so they employ a bunch more people now, and every year there is more. Not to mention that graphic detail is like a rocket on exponential burst, and jus getting better and better by the minute, because there are a ton of people also researching and developing better hardware and software for that as well, as well as programs for better movement capture, programs for better art development, etc. it all cost money, and man hours. You need staff, you need more staff to run that staff, etc. And then, again, they put all of this work in, and the final product is then put out on the market for little brats to complain about. It doesn’t matter how good it is, they are still just going to find sone way to make some complaint about it. Welcome to the 2020’s…🤦♂️ I remember when Nintendo cam out, and we spend hours playing Mario bros. and not having a single thing to complain about, and still to this day, I am more amazed than ever as to where we’ve come to in gaming, from where we were when we started. Tanks to COD Moder Warfare. Atari Pong to NBA 2k or FIFA soccer. Mario/Zelda to modern Zelda/Forsaken. Original FF to FF VI remake, and whatnot. The list goes on. The TLDR is, quit complaining, and just enjoy gaming.

Here's a fun fact. Did you know the top 50 overly grossly paid executives are all in the game industry? An ancient example: *Garry's Mod.* I know this because the other day, a guy stuck his long-barrel rifle thru a 2-block layer and shot me in the chest, without any particle wffects to suggest the bullet ever made contact with the wall (a specific material and thickness that is meant to be 100% bulletproof to all of the game's mechanics). The only thing sticking out past that wall was maybe two inches of barrel. The bullet would have _had_ to originated from the end of the barrel to achieve that hit. Bullet drop and not being able to hide 95% of your body while shooting at someone has drastically made the game even easier for you and more engaging, since now people have to think when they shoot you from afar and gives you more room for error and you wont get killed from people in nasty angles at close ranges since they have to show an appropriate amount of their body. It’s almost like games try to balance reality and fun or something. With this the concept of having bullets come from the gun makes sense, but can be very frustrating in games when you have a reticle aimed at someone and it simply misses. Changing your sight calibration is more realistic, but less fluid and convenient and can break the flow of the game. Same goes for reloading magazines. Some games reload accurately like people have mentioned but many simply bypass that because it’s easier to just reload the gun.the balance between game and realism can applied to basically everything. Hunger, thirst, defecation, shelter, temperature management, exhaustion, passage of time, accuracy of violence, health regeneration, injuries, blinking, stamina, respawning as a concept and so much else. Some games go all out and get everything as right as they can, but most skip some steps because it’s not an enjoyable gameplay experience for most people. It’s a trade off of wanting your game to be a success or wanting your game to be realistic. While realistic games can succeed (dayZ escape from tarkov, Arma series, Squad, etc) the scale is just much smaller. They are never going to have a million concurrent players, because the audience isn’t there for it. It’s easier to play COD or whatever other shooter fits their wants. Titanfall 2 for example is not even remotely realistic, but that’s part of why it’s such an enjoyable game. The fun part was the focus and it shows

Also, since the bullet flies in an arc, it will cross the red dot twice: as it's going up, and again, further away, as it's falling down. So the point of impact may be: -3" at 0 yds 0" at 20 yds +5" at 100 yds 0" at 160 yds -3" at 200 yds -24" at 300 yds -72" at 400 yds Combat firearms are usually sighted so that at common ranges, you won't need to think about it much. Long-distance rifles are an exception to that, but it gets a little complicated to explain in a YT comment.

Well of course, that's not really the point of the video, they're demonstrating that most FPS games like CoD or R6 Siege don't fire their bullets from the actual barrel on the gun, instead they fire from your aim point. It doesn't matter where the zeroing distance is, they'll fly in a straight line basically from your character's eyeball. I suppose you could zero your red dot to 0 yards and it would shoot the wall in front of you where you're aiming, but at any range you won't hit shit

That brings to the forefront another issue: bullets don't travel in perfectly straight lines. If not for air resistance, they'd travel in a parabolic arc, but due to air resistance, it's pretty truncated at the end of the trajectory. For .223 ammo out of a 16" barrel, this means that the bullet is at the same height at 50 yards and 300 yards. If you're aiming at something inside 50 yards, you have to aim high to account for height over bore. If you're between to and 300 yards, you have to aim low to account for the top of the parabola. Outside of 300 yards, you have to aim high again.

How much would be a fair price be in your estimation then?. $50, $40 or maybe even less?. Just curious

Unironically so many games have barrel originating projectiles these days.
If it originated any further back, it would have been caught by the wall.

It’s quite well known that guns fire from your eyes by default
That’s how I use to get tons of headshots. Use to act like the red dot wasn’t there and I’d use the barrel to aim. Helps you get headshots in call of duty.
The fun part was the focus and it shows
Some games like Enlisted also have this detail. When I'm firing snipers on the wall point blank, the bullet lands under the scope

Also, since the bullet flies in an arc, it will cross the red dot twice: as it's going up, and again, further away, as it's falling down.
That's not at all true. There's a certain range the bullet will imoact where you're aiming at. Outside if that range the bullet will deviate multiple inches.
When you zero a sight at some range, lets say 25 yd, every shot before that point will be low. At 25 you're dead on and after that thd point of impact drifts high and back down to the " crossover " for conversations sake say 150 yards. Depends on the round and platform.
@@marcusclarkson2657 Exactly
Sights attatchments are actually ajustable, you can make a cross section where it is a little downwards to the bore so it meet at the right distance, but you need to adjust it for different distances.
Isn't that what he said?
That brings to the forefront another issue: bullets don't travel in perfectly straight lines. If not for air resistance, they'd travel in a parabolic arc, but due to air resistance, it's pretty truncated at the end of the trajectory. For .223 ammo out of a 16" barrel, this means that the bullet is at the same height at 50 yards and 300 yards. If you're aiming at something inside 50 yards, you have to aim high to account for height over bore. If you're between to and 300 yards, you have to aim low to account for the top of the parabola. Outside of 300 yards, you have to aim high again.
It's such a tiny detail that it isn't worth making a video on, plus if I'm close enough for it to not hit the zero thresh-hold than I'm probably not gonna miss anyway
Battlefield 4 has the bullets come from where the barrel is positioned. The memories i have as a sniper will never go away
Yea I remember when they added that, it was so cool messing around on the test range when they changed it and having the rounds hit the barrier you were peaking over instead of hitting the target
Amen, BF4 was one of the best games i have ever played.
this is definitely a "who gives a shit" moment. we play games for fun
we play games for FUN but it also made use STREES
A lot of people find realism fun
@@AQS521Nobody finds realism fun, they just use it as an argument when they prefer something different that also happens to be more realistic. If it were about realism, this would be the last thing to worry about.
Apathy was cool in the 80s, but now effortful nihilism is just cringe. If you don't care, why do you think anyone gives a shit that you don't care? Just keep scrolling, and let the likes and views decide if content is interesting or not.
@@TommyTombstone Ah okay good to know if someone wants to express their opinion they need to get your approval first
It's the same in Ready or Not. I love good coop tactical shooters but it's rare that you get one with a Single Player option these days
Oh I already knew that. A famas can also be confusing
As much as I appreciate realism in a game, I don’t think it should be the main focus. I think the most of it I can still have fun with is definitely Insurgency Sandstorm. It’s realistic enough but knows where to stop, and that’s probably one of the reasons the player-base is still so active.
ded game

Exceptional game and so much fun/realism balance! Steady players, not easy to leave it..
Example of fun realistic game: Arena Breakout
It's actually such an underappreciated gem I think. Especially on consoles it's literally the only game like it, people go on about he'll let loose but that game is boring af.
Battlefield has actually fixed the issue of bullets emmitting from the scope instead of the barrel since Battlefield 4. Its literally what fixed the "head glitching" issue since it was just people peeking their scopes and you could hardly see a target. now you must clear your barrel from cover and it made everything far better
I'm a realism guy too! Add more realistic deaths in FPS games! (Flop over death after being shot)
PUBG has been doing this for 7 years now. What sucks is the windows are at a height that means you shoot the wall instead of out the window.
I remember watching a levelcap talking about the head glitch problem during the height of BF4 and always think about it when I play games how bullets come out the face most of the time
