I'm only watching because AJ is being brutally honest
Now that was brutal
Jheeze no need to be brutally honest
Raw, no dom
Can anyone pass me a tissue i cant fucking take this brutality.
It'd be a first
That brutal honesty was like a mate telling you a situation their in. So much insight into the mind AJ
Shut up Aj is a clown he ran from Fury ! He slatted him for the ottie fighr now look who wants to fight him 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@ianp7206 my comment was sarcastic haha
I’ve never in all my life seen such honesty delivered so brutally
Its brutal how honest he is
Honestly brutal
Brutally brutally honest
Can’t take it
That was brutal, honest but brutal
Very very brutal terribly brutal
Kugan with the fantastic camera skills as usual 🥴
Interview on par with camera work
I love it how brutally honest AJ is lol 😂
I don’t think i can handle the sheer brutality of AJ’s honesty
Been waiting for a 'brutally honest' interview. IFL never disappoints
Ifl has a brown nos4 from Eddie and aj
Respect to AJ for helping out Kugan out when his mental health was low 👊🥊
😂
The brutal brutality of his brutally honest answer is just too brutal for me. Brutal.
When brutality meets honesty
AJ doesn't look or sound interested anymore, he's done.
I would say the same but always when i do so the fighter proves me wrong
Your bang on mate
@@sonnyreddevil69 bore off ? what does that even mean ffs
Definitely looks tired. His energy isn't his normal self but that's just in this moment..don't mean as a whole he isn't interested in boxing.
He's still disheartened after the Usyk fight. This is the broken Joshua that Fury wanted to fight.
Not sure he can be arsed with boxing anymore.
He’s essentially a rich man’s Audley Harrison at this point. Just looking to keep milking the public for as long as possible while taking as little risk in the ring as possible.
Can’t remember who said it, but they were right when they said it’s hard to get out your bed early for a run when you go to sleep in silk pyjamas.
You'll be surprised AJ is all about legacy. 🆘🥊💣💤🤣🖐️
@@lovejoy131 that statement definately came from a imbecile who knows nothing about boxing AJ has a better resume than feary who has only fought two top ten opponents in his 20yr career AJ doesn't call out all the top guys then duck them for gatekeepers like derek chisora. 🆘🥊💣💤🤣🖐️
That honesty was so brutal I feel I've taken a right uppercut
IFL doesn't do enough of these brutally honest interviews
Love it when he’s brutally honest
Not in the headspace for such a massive fight. Take a holiday and reflect. He’s achieved more than any of us in the comment section and I’m not a fan of his but I respect the man for sure.
Not in the headspace for big fights full stop, bum AJ bottled it against Usyk. He should retire.
@@alexbelotti1603 even better idea.
@@alexbelotti1603 “bum AJ” ironic from someone in the KZhead comment section(yes I’m also here)
@@alexbelotti1603 "bottled it and he should retire" what an odd thing to say from someone in the youtube comment section about losing to one of the more skillful fighters ever....
What sort of self respecting 'throwback fighter', would be in the wrong headspace for a massive fight???
This is one of the first interviews I've actually like Joshua. He looks relaxed, like the pressure's off now.
Good luck to the guy, whatever comes next he’s earned the success he’s had. I wish all of them well, it’s a tough old game. Fury vs Joshua looks very distant now, but Wilder vs Joshua next year would be a corker.
No way could AJ's chin hold up against Wilder though
@@FEE8Tth8BEA8T That’s why it would be a corker, the threat of an instant KO is what brings the suspense to Wilder’s fights. As long as Joshua also comes to fight, and attacks Wilder the way he has done with others like Breazeale, it could be quite spectacular.
@@justinneill5003 true but the more I see AJ lose his head in the sport the less excited I am to see his fight. We're basically watching a once great career fall apart and a man's mind go with it. Not really what I wanna see as a boxing fan. I honestly don't see AJ putting up a decent fight for anyone but a journeyman right now
@@FEE8Tth8BEA8T Yes I know what u mean. He is not showing much enthusiasm these days, he doesn’t even appear that bothered that the Fury fight fell through despite the fantastic opportunity it would’ve given him.
@@justinneill5003 yea he's deliberately vague and vacant in interviews now. He looks lost and here he basically admitted he wasn't ready for Fury. The claim is that he wanted the fight on 17th December but who on the back of 2 defeats would turn down a world title shot and the biggest payday of their career over 2 extra weeks in camp... that's a man that lacks confidence and belief for sure. It is heavyweight boxing though so he could come back and knock out a top ranked fighter and turn the tables instantly, of that then gave him back his confidence then we may see AJ v Fury after all and under conditions I'd want to see it in. I don't want to see AJ humiliated by Fury I want to see 2 titans fight to the death lol
He is so honest it's brutal.
Joshua came to Kugan when he needed him at 2am Kugan sending AJ the "you up?" DM confirmed
Booty calls.
The "brutally honest" answer would have been " ...Well , I`m not fighting Tyson , because he`s a big scary guy , and I don`t fancy being battered into retirement ..."
cant believe how brutally honest ajs chin was.... unreal camera work as usual
Matchroom's stock fell after AJ lost his belts. Hearn"s initial defiance after Connor Benn's failed drug test was alarming
Imagine a promoter talking shit about his own roster lol 😂
Imagine going to the fights and answering the same questions over and over again and knowing people were gonna pick it apart and put their slants on it.. Gotta be pretty annoying
He’s gets paid to do it so can’t moan.
Its part of his job, he's paid unbelievably well to do so, they all are, its just aj doesn't start cussing out the interviewer and struggling to send the video call🤣🤣
May as well launch belts out the ring then ain’t he.
“I’m still learning”
Aj dead in the water. Fraud
AJ is the real champion, he never ducks like Fury does.
FUCKING BRUTALITY OMG THIS INTERVIEW IS SO BRUTAL I CAN’T TAKE IT
I've always loved the raw interviews from IFL because they show the interviewee's true mindset and personality at that time rather than being media trained and theatrical.
Brutal honesty?
Anthony is a broken man ........sad but true 😩
He can turn it around is he wants to. But with all that money you can lose the hunger and desire. Only the elite of the elite can keep getting back up even when they're super wealthy.
I think best time to retire/ he sounds like he doesn’t really talk about boxing anymore and out of it- was just waffling and we gonna die comment- very unlike him 😢
@@LW-ny7vl he's got plenty left man. Guy jusy going through a rough patch but showed plenty to work on in that last usyk fight. Look at what fury did after a rough patch man. He simply needed time off to get his head together. Fighting fury next month would have been the worst decision of his career and this interview just confirmed that 👌
He will be more of a broken man when he faces wilder
Don't worry Fury will smash usyk for AJ I promise you
When an AJ interview is pulling 14k views in 5hrs you know the fans have had enough of the IFL “interview” technique.
100%. Kugan and Umar fanboying has bored the life out of everyone, hence why they got so upset and outraged at the positive response that true Geordie guy got when he asked proper questions
Damn that was brutal, was close to not watching it out of shear fear
🤣
Brutally honest?! He's just waffling the same old shit as always 😂😂
Thanks IFLTV, this has felt like a therapy session
Nice words at the end from Anthony about family ❤️❤️
Joshua really wants to say Eddie hearn was to blame for the fight not happening
Deep down Joshua knows he’s vulnerable and will get chinned by Fury. He doesn’t truly want the fight, because of the reasons we all know, it will be the end of the AJ gravy train
@Rob so why didn’t he?
@@wixh916 He wouldn't be in any worse position than he is now in fact he would be a lot wealthier if he took the fight with Fury...Wilder has proved that you can lose to Fury and your value can go up... .. if AJ loses again to some bum his value plummets even more . Not signing the fight with Fury will go down as another massive mistake by Eddie Hearn
@@wixh916 It already is the end
Joshua did not want the fight. Joshua pay Eddie's wages and he has the power to sack Eddie and sue him and Matchroom for damages in a court of law. Eddie is happy to take the blame to protect Joshua's reputation.
No-one gets brutal honesty in their interviews quite like IFL
Only thing Brutal there was how awkward AJ looked and how brutally shit that camera footage was!
Eddie "greed" Hearn always ruining the big fights, now I know for certain he's the reason why we never got Wilder Vs AJ when they were both champs
He's currently on a cycle so he has to wait till his tests are negative before he can fight that's the truth

Is that why fury had 4 years off 🤷♂️🤣🤣🤡

That honesty was absolutely brutal from AJ
Wow, that was brutally honest, I hope he walked away from that interview and it felt like a therapy session, nothing he said will show him in a low negative light. As for contacting the family, relationships are not my forte
What was strange was he dishonored his father after the Usyk fight. Does he just say stuff for good PR for his brand? (Boys and girls, have family values…and don’t forget to buy my upcoming book.)
@@mybrotherkeeper1484 he’s unravelling in front of our eyes…. The day he doesn’t give a toss about his image and business of the fight game… is the day you see him getting back to his best. At least he has stopped the boxing “Guru” talk. I knew when he started talking like a boxing professor that the losses would be just round the corner. He’s been humbled. He’s scared of a dig to the head after the Ruiz loss. He knows he is a bit chinny now. He needs to drop the business, the stupid talk and get his rawness back. I can see it coming back too. He needs a few wars. Dillon will be perfect. Deontay is the last fight he needs cos he isn’t elusive enough to avoid his shots. He will get stopped for sure and I’m not even saying Deontay is a better boxer, he just won’t beat him that’s all. I just want to see some top fights between all the elite fighters and if he still keeps thinking “business”, those fights won’t happen
@@darrenbennett7945 Wilder and fury also seem to be unraveling. Too much drama. I like the guy from Ukraine now because he has a lot less drama and seems to be more grounded. AJ puzzles me now. I’ve had his back for a long time, though. He had a great body of work.
“So AJ why did the fury fight not happen” AJ “I’m all about my bizzniss”
Can't blame the guy really. He done well and made a lot of money. He doesn't need to get punched in the face anymore as he has businesses and money set aside. He knew fighting Tyson would of ended his career.
@@david_fitzmaurice Boxing fans are right to blame the guy. They are not interested in his money. They pay to see a fighter in the ring, not a businessman. If you act like a coward, you need to retire from boxing and make room for the younger hungrier fighters.
New level of respect from me for sure. Never been a huge AJ fan, but after seeing the shenanigans the Fury circus is taking the division through AJ is one of the few HW that speak the truth and doesn't care about social media BS. Good on you man 👊
Lol Fury is the real deal in the ring. Joshua tried to take an easy fight little did he know he would lose twice. No excuses. Fury still hasn’t lost to anyone what makes you think Joshua could beat him when he’s already lost 3 times and still he hasn’t fought Fury or Wilder.
@@thenewage9723 AJ still has a better resume than fury and wilder, they ducked him to fight each other and wilder admitted it last December, Usyk was never an easy fight he is the best boxer in the division by far, fury rushed AJ for the contract so he could take the easier fight in Chisora
@@thenewage9723 Nobody sees Usyk as an easy fight.. Your big gypsy dosser is shit scared of him😂
@@GH0ZT77 lol why Joshua never fought Wilder then? Everybody knows Wilder Fury and Joshua was the top heavyweights. Since then Wilder and Fury has fought 3 great fights. Joshua has lost to Ruiz and twice to Usyk.
@@ryanlee6920 did you listen with understanding what he was saying? AJ basically admitted that the talks fell through because of his side not Fury, Fury was in the driving seat he didn't want to wait for noone he gave AJ opportunity to fight him and AJ's team fucked up, Eddie said in an interview not long ago that he is glad that this fight didn't happen, AJ just said that lawyers have to get paid, Bob Arum said that he felt like Eddie was on purpose trying to derail the negotiations, and somehow AJ's fans still think it was Fury's fault 🤦♂️
Great camera work
Joshua V Wilder is an interesting fight but i think Joshua would be sleeping with the fairies within the opening 5 rounds

Atrocious camera work. Just being brutally honest.

Huge boxing fan all my life and can honestly say I would not be arsed if I never saw Joshua in an interview or in the ring again .. does nothing that excites me about his next move or words

Totally agree Ben. His antics after his last fight were unforgivable.
Sort your camera out! How hard is it to get AJ in shot properly?
‘I will ride until the wheels fall off....... next time.’ Sums AJ up perfectly.
He was dying to say “I wanted to fight but Eddie wouldn’t let me!”. I think AJ maybe would of taken the fight but there was no way his management was allowing him to go on a suicide mission against Fury.
Facts remain, fury pulled out and fought someone else.

@@Lee-ye3ev Fury had a back up fight all along. If you're confident in fighting someone, you wont need a back up fighter and if for whatever reason you do, you dont go fighting a fighter ranked 60th in the world when you're supposed to be world number 1 😂😂 The truth has come out, even big John Fury has said it wasn't AJ or Hearn's fault that the fight didn't happen. It was a ridiculous deadline day. A fight like this deserves both fighters to be in prime condition. Won't be as good of a fight if one fighter isn't fit. @@kierandobbs7694 I just listened to Joshua say it myself but I choose to deny it too. I am also a fool 🙃
He doesn't throw combos like Rocky Marciano..........
Because he's heavy thats why ...
He throws belts better than Rocky Marciano.
He's not a 12 round fighter. People need to respect that he's disadvantaged being 18st and 6ft 7, so can't throw combos or fight more than once a year. Like all the AJ cheerleaders said, AJ out boxed Usyk for 10 rounds, he just got unlucky with the 2 corrupt judges that gave the win to Usyk because apparently they're racist or something I read in a brutally honest comment from one of his Nigerian fans boys. Like AJ tried to tell us on Instagram the other day. All roads lead to undisputed. Unfortunately I think he's taken a few wrong turns, run out of gas and is completely lost. I hear he has the best spiritual advisors money can buy, and they're telling everyone to hope and pray AJ makes the most money ever because nobody deserves it more than AJ. He grew up in Watford where there's no opportunities. I heard its like Compton there at the peak of the crack epidemic in the 90s, so gotta respect AJ for that.
If I’m brutally honest, the honesty on display there was brutal.
Hearn is going to be well pissed at how brutally honest that interview was
Great camera work.....
That was so brutally honest it was scary
I think AJ knows who is blame and its not Fury

Been a while since someone's been brutally honest on the channel.
He just seems spaced out, no direction. Let’s see what happens not sure where he’s at.
I've always thought this after losing to Ruiz the first time. Never been the same since. Even when he got the belts back it was very underwhelming.

Talking to a media that twists and manipulates what ever you say must be a pain in the a$$. AJ is just tired of the BS

AJ didn’t want the fight - Simple

Joshua is the boss and pays Hearn's wages. Joshua did not want the fight. Hearn is happy to take the blame to protect Joshua's reputation
Just going by the first few minutes of this video I gotta say that AJ doesn't look like too much of a fighting man
Weirdly I think that was the most honest interview Anthony Joshua has done. Weird because the questions were not ever so taxing but we saw a Joshua who looked at peace. Looked like he’s hungry to get back to being the real Anthony Joshua after his break & love him or not that’s only good for boxing & the heavyweight division. I’ve always followed both Joshua & Fury, though I’d be rooting for Fury if they ever did get in the ring. AJ’s problems all started when he realised he had a weakness. All boxers lose a little something when they find out they aren’t invincible but only the greatest manager that weakness & master their strengths. Klitschko was the grand master of this. Fortunately for Wladimir Klitschko he found Emanuel Steward who taught him how to use his tools more efficiently. Mike Tyson had the same with Cus D'Amato who showed him how to be a man, unfortunately Cus passed & Mike’s weaknesses eventually resurfaced. Ali had weaknesses but was so intelligent he masked them well as did Tyson Fury. Joshua found his vs Klitschko but his youth & possibly Klitschko age as well as 90k at Wembley pulled him through in what was his finest hour imo. The fight with Ruiz was a shock to him but there were plenty of reasons why such a result could happen that night. Replacement boxer, underestimated especially after the knock down. These things happen in the heavyweight division. His number one problem wasn’t a glass chin,it was his engine. A glass chin, you can,if smart enough & with a coach like Emanuel Steward, work on ways to protect it. With the muscle mass causing his engine issues there are greater problems. Will I lose my power ? Will I damage easier if lighter ? So Joshua fell into the thought that he had to become a boxer,a mover,no more mr wrecking ball! It was the wrong decision. He can come back & it seems to me listening to him he’s twigged what he needs to do. I hope he & Fury can get it on for undisputed one day… That’s if the both stay away from Joe Joyce…He’s a beast !!!
there is no way on earth you're telling me joshua is not a broken man, he comes across so anxious and stuttery, ruiz really did something to joshua mentally when he beat him, i bet he jumps when he's door bell goes.
