It's 2010 and she still cannot sing. ;) But thanks God she met Michael Cretu in the 80s, so many great songs they both created.
Hello from 2020... she still cannot sing and I'm not sure she even remembers her own name...
She always could sing, that's why someone noticed her when she was 12, that's why producers made her the lead singer of band Arabesque, and that's why the great producer&musician Michael Cretu made so many records with her, 8 albums, and even several songs for Enigma. I don't think Cretu would have worked for such a long time with someone who can't sing.
@@wallis8888 Maybe she was able to sing (hit correctly most notes) when being young, but she's never been a good vocalist. Maybe it's lack of talent or lack of training. Even in the 80s and on the studio albums her vocals were poor and "meowy". Though I like that songs very much and value Cretu's talent.

Ich bin franzose und sie ist immer noch meine Lieblingssängerin. Viele Leute mögen sie immer noch in Frankreich, obwohl sie absichtlich von Radiosendern ignoriert wurde. Schon damals wurde sie mehrmals in den Medien ziemlich schlecht behandelt. Manche Leute/Moderatoren usw. in Deutschland und auch in Frankreich waren einfach offensichtlich neidisch.
