  • I've been watching boxing for 40 years and in adult life been fortunate enough to work alongside some top level athletes in both amateur and pro sport. I've seen how hard they push themselves and the level of ability is on a completely different level to "us normal humans" I can't stress this point enough. So at the very least they deserve respect especially those who put their lives on the line for our entertainment! I don't know AJ but I support him win or lose because I respect him, understand to some degree what he goes through on a daily basis and have a feeling that he is a genuinely kind hearted individual, outside the ring thankfully. It's a shame some sports fans don't remember this in their intense keyboard criticism of these men and women.

We also forget that, bar a few fighters, all the greats had Ls on their record. What I think is, because boxers nowadays generally have fewer fights during their career to preserve their health in comparison to the previous era, 3/4 Ls on your record looks worse when you've had 35 fights 1than it would if you had say 55 fights. I believe it depends on WHO you fight, too, and AJ, bar Wilder, fought everyone, so he deserves big credit for that. I'd still like to see that fight, too 🙌🏾

  • Ive respected AJ from day one. He may not be the most gifted fighter or even the best but ive never seen him put on a front. What you see is what you get and hes not ashamed to admit he let people down because im sure he but at the end of the day hes gotta continue and keep dreaming for big things while he still has the body and mind for boxing.

  • No disrespect to Chisora, but when Fury fought him for a third time I lost all respect for Fury. All the great things he did before like fighting Klitchko and Wilder in their own back yard, that all went out the window when he had the cheek to offer another great champion a 70/30 purse split. Who the hell does he think he is? Fury a 🤡 for that. The only way to redeem himself is to clean up the heavyweight division, which I guarantee you he won’t do. Come on Joshua get back those belts and prove you are the more worthy champion. We need more fighters like you, who will fight everybody and anybody, unlike that WBC joker.

  • AJ is a throwback will fight the best and ducks no one, fury hardly ever does an interview without mentioning AJ , either to try and put him down or try and belittle him, AJ is an original guy just being his self, Fury just copy’s Ali but with a foul mouth, win lose or draw AJ is a class act

  • As Ali put it nicely, Champions are not made in the gym but by a deep desire inside them. AJ was a champ made in the gym and wasn't ready to go on his shield and happily quit or went into survival mode. Look at Wilder by contrast... fewer skills, getting smashed all over the place, nearly unconscious, but still willing to get up and fight hoping he could land that right hand and get his belts back.

    • What a bunch of bullshit!!! Look at Wilder by contrast????? 2nd fight vs Fury EXCUSE, after EXCUSE, after EXCUSE as to why he got beat all over the place and stopped in 7 by Fury. The 3rd fight, telling Fury he didn't respect him and refused to shake his hand after getting beat all over the place and KO'd in the 11th. You call that a TRUE CHAMPION?? AJ took immediate rematches in hopes to avenge his L's after the Ruiz and Usyk losses. We know the outcomes. His desire to still learn and try to be great despite opposition and previous failures. That's a TRUE CHAMPION.
