    • @@NatanTrombetta i assume they have the standard animators doing the regular episodes, but when something important or hype (like a fight, or reveal) comes out in the manga, they get people to work on that even if the anime isnt close to that point. like the stuff going on in the manga rn is most likey being worked on

  • At the time this came out in the manga, a little small fandom joke came about at that time to describe Doc Q's feminization disease-contagion technique as similar to "the cooties." It was also quite funny that the Heart Pirates' only female member Ikkaku was glistening in the background to seeing her other "female Heart Pirate members." - And I guess Teach learned the same way like Big Mom that Three-Eyed Tribe people like Pudding can read Poneglyphs if she ever awakens that tribe ability; in which the Blackbeard Pirates were dispatched to Whole Cake to kidnap Pudding while Big Mom & the rest of her crew were in Wano

  • I still think Shachi and Penguin are part fishmen. I mean think about it we never see their faces under their hats could be hiding some gills and fins, they are crazy fast underwater like a fishmen and have moves that a fishmen would have.

  • When I was reading the Germa cover story, I had a strong feeling that Augur already had the Warp Devil Fruit before Egghead arc. In the anime, it shows that Augur already has his Devil Fruit while he and Kuzan defeated Cracker before kidnapping Pudding. Kuzan looks more terrifying in the anime than in the manga. Freezing Cracker without getting a single scratch. While many people are discussing Law and Blackbeard battle, I'm more worried about Pudding... I'm looking forward to seeing Shanks vs. Kid getting animated, in few months. I don't mind if the anime gives a few of the Kid Pirates speaking roles.

  • The perfectly cubical pieces of debris that you see are called "Yutapon Cubes" named after Yutaka Nakamura. He originally came up with these to reduce time on animating debris, and instead turned these perfect little cubes of exploding particles into a stylistic choice

  • I wonder if the fruit choice for the Blackbeard Pirates is related to awakening. By getting abilities that they naturally already have some aspect of, maybe it will be easier/faster for them to align their minds with the “will” of the fruit.

  • Oh man the lady transformation in this episode was like the one in Impel Down arc when Ivankov was introduced and showed off their devil fruit power, but got added in awakening and haki. Felt like they could have done a bit more with Jesus Burgess or added more with cover story than just showing Kazan decimating Whole Cake Island

  • As an artist myself I can confirm that rectangular and square debris compared to more elaborate debris is an Incredible!! Difference in time saved when theres consistently hundreds n thousands of frames consisting of hundreds of pieces of debris at different moments from entire episode, Like say 1 Square piece of debris is 5 seconds to draw compared to more elaborate Debris taking 10 or 15+ Seconds to draw, If theres say thousand frames of hundred pieces of debris from episode like this thats 500,000 Seconds compared to 1.5 Million Seconds… These are just random estimated numbers for example of how extra time stacks up when comes to Lots of pieces of debris in Lots of frames, Im sure digital saves time not needing to draw every piece in every frame but regardless its still same result, Elaborate debris would take so much more time than simplest of debris pieces…

  • i feel like BB pirates having df abilities that are already similar to their capabilities is more of like taking advantage of what you are good at...for example, doc q having knowledge of diseases can utilize the sick sick fruit to its full potential...i think they have high potential of awakening since kaido said you awaken df abilities when your body and mind catches up to the power, and BB pirates are already somewhat there...they will have very easy time awakening their fruits

  • What if there's a level of awakening that only applies for people whose fruits fit their personality? I mean, let's be real here. Blackbeard doesn't approach things half-cocked. He's a meticulous schemer. So there has to be an angle as to why he went for those powers specifically. My going theory is that dfs vibe in certain ways with the people who eat them. So what if certain abilities were only available to certain people that said dfs work best with?

  • I did expect law to actually have a female VA for his female form but they decided on just falsetto instead. Van Auger One Shotting the Biscuit soldier is questionable because that took Luffy with gear 4 to even break them. Did he use some kinda of crazy powerful bullet? If not, is Jean Bart stronger defensively than Cracker's Biscuit Soldier? Could the cold make them brittle or is it the opposite where cold make biscuit way harder?
