Great video, how did you manage to get those pipes to stay in the ground? Thinking of doing something like this at my place. Thanks!

Anthony Mota what I ended up doing is tying the corners down to stakes with 550 paracord. This holds it down when the dust storms come thru.

Those ceiling flanges that you used to mount the conduit to the wall would work to anchor to the ground as well, as long as you have a solid base to anchor to that is. Concrete slab/ paver, etc.. good job, thanks for the idea!

Hey! great idea. I am planning to build one for 10X15 square feet porch. Any idea what should be the distance between the pole before it sags?
@rockiru0075 жыл бұрын
kiks 10 feet distance is max because the conduit comes in 10 foot sections. If I were building one 10x15. I would make 3 legs. One section the full 10 feet, then the next one being 5 feet. Good luck !!!

Thanks for the tip. I donot plan to attach to the house due to building codes and hoa permission which I donot plan to take. Do you think 10X10 square structure would stand with 4 legs?I might add 5X10 structure later and cover the entire porch. I might also add some angular pipes to sturdy the structure. I am also planning to get some lattic boards which are cheap and make it private a bit. For the roof I plan to use galvanised wire and allow a free flowing plant to cover the top portion. here is the link from which I got inspired. www.simplifiedbuilding.com/projects/building-a-backyard-grape-vine-trellis-with-pipe-and-wire

What type of pipes did you use
@ashleymartinez78475 жыл бұрын
ashley martinez it’s actually 3/4” metal electrical conduit. Much less expensive that other piping, not quite as ridged as other alternatives but much less expensive.
