When I found my silkie chicken Tangerine, she was suffering from nasty parasites. Tiny mites were digging little tunnels under the skin of her feet. This had to stop and I knew a way...
It wouldn't be an easy job, nor very pleasant, but we got through it step by careful step.

can you tell a solution to my problem . My hen has swelling under her beak and it has spread into her mouth,so she cant eat anything so i have to feed her . And one of her leg is swollen and it has red patches.

Chickens are such terribly misunderstood animals. They’re the number one most abused animal on earth. Spend time with them and you’ll see they’re much more than just the dumb food bird the food industry has brainwashed people into thinking. Thank you sir, for caring for this sweet girl. I know this was a couple years ago, there is a chance she may not be alive anymore, but you gave her the love and attention she deserved but never received. God bless you for caring for her.

This video made me smile, because almost twenty years ago, when I was a little kid, one of my chickens had suffered from leg mites. Her scales looked horrible... My mom and I gave her feet a bubble bath every day. Very long baths, we used almost exactly the method from the video and I read the hen stories to keep her calm while her feet were in the warm soapy water. I didn't peel much, because I was scared to hurt her, but after a few days, the lumps began to fall off during the baths. The mites died from the soap in the water. After two weeks, the hen was healed. She lost her ugly bulging scales and grew beautiful new scales back. Great video!!! Also, with help of this channel, last week I was able to save two baby quails during hatching, which were stuck in their eggs and would have died otherwise. Thank you very much!!!

I cannot get over how calm and agreeable this hen was lol. I've had hens as friendly and cuddly as dogs but this girlie took it to a new level! So calm and patient, what a wonderful bird ❤️

I'm very fortunate, my fiance is just like this. We've been together 10yrs now and we're always rescuing animals we see in need and rehabilitating them. I love our life together. You'll find someone like that too.
We had a once tiny chickens, and one day my dad saw that one of them had a huge wound with a big bubble looking like a ping pong ball coming out of its chest. The other chickens sometimes picked on the bubble. We didn't had money to bring it to a doc so my dad decided to put it in the wild, but I couldn't let this happen. So I had a small stall where I put the tiny chicken in and I feed it everyday and gave it fresh water. The wound healed and over the time the chicken grow to become a beautiful white chicken. We decided to put it with the others, and we'll everyday the chicken saw me, it run towards me so I could pet it while the others usually ran away xD It was cute to have like my own chicken pet which I pet everyday and fed it from my hands ^^
I have a rooster like that,while the others fought us and each other like crazy,he had a foot infection,we fixed it with homemade stuff!till now he is still my best friend(his name is Rocky)

Your videos always cheer me up, and you inspire me. I share my home with 5 rescued budgies, and when one of them got sick I felt overwhelmed. I felt like I'm this big, scary human with clumsy hands, and my budgie, in need of care, was so small and fragile, I felt a little helpless when handling her. But after watching you take care of all these tiny animals, that gave me the courage to do what I needed to... and fortunately I was able to save my budgie. I really appreciate all that you do, you're an amazing human being!

It probably was so irritating at first that she just couldn’t care, then when being soaked probably felt sooo relieving that she knew it would be ok.
Animals can be like that when they are truly in pain and need. Some of the most trusting animals I have were ones that were hurt or sick.

Hand reared chickens can be very calm. We had two hens growing up that would cuddle us in the yard when we came out. It helped we only had the two from chicks.
