  • Another enjoyable video my friend. I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like. The wildlife and scenery are wonderful! Looking closely at your mystery guest's head and ears does look much like the bobcat. The dark stripe down it's back reenforces that appearance. It does look longer that the bobcat that you showed later... maybe it was an adult?

    • Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoy the videos. I'm certain it's not a Bobcat. A Bobcats tail only grows to about 6 inches long, even in adulthood. I still lean towards the fox idea, but I'm still uncertain. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. It's greatly appreciated.

  • Excellent video Terry. Couldn't help but think you were doing a countdown to 9/11 going by the date stamps on some of the videos. How many coats of polyurethane did you have to put on the floor. BTW your mystery guest. Is it possibly a domestic cat? Tail looks very long.

    • I didn't even think about the dates as I was editing this video. Good catch. I put two coats of poly on the floors. It's still holding up relatively well to this day (other than where the sun shines through the windows...a little faded in those spots). As I mentioned in the comment above...I thought about a domestic cat for a moment, but the tail is very wide and thick, which made me think otherwise. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Good job Terry. Did you use the polyurethane on the walls also? Or did you use something else for that. The myestery guest looks like some catbreed. Small mountain lion? A domestic cat? A stray ?

    • I did use a polyurethane on the walls, but a different type. I thought the mystery guest could be a cat for a moment, but how wide and thick the tail is made me think differently. I've never seen a cat with that thick of a tail. But the then again, I'm no cat expert either.

  • I'm not an expert, but I thought it might be a fisher

    • I looked into the Fisher, related to the Marten. I like the direction you're going with that guess...Short legs, wide tail, rounded ears...that's what this mystery critter looks like to me. However, I read that the Fisher doesn't come much further south than Oregon etc. Thanks for your comment and for watching.
