I honestly never thought I'd enjoy a regular guest as much as I enjoy AR on Tuesdays, but I'll be damned -- I really love these JJ Watt Wednesdays. And Saban on Thursdays is getting better and better each week as Saban gets more comfortable and familiar with Pat and the boys. This show was awesome when I discovered it years ago and its still getting better and better. Hell yea.
Well said and agreed . And watt isn’t even getting paid millions AND MILLIONS !!😅
@@evolutionstationmusic2559 No. He's just on there for free. To give his opinion on the uniforms. Everyone knows he's right. Everyone knows that Houston deserves them back, that Houston had those first.
JJ joining just once a week. Makes the show so much better.
I think it’s time to make jj a full timer like aj, have them do a defensive segment or something
AJ + JJ + AQ = the best football insight out of any show!
Pass, he would lose his flare if he was there full time
@iDomxKillshot not only that. Im sure JJ is an extremely busy human being.
JJ really is such a natural on the show. Never thought I’d enjoy him as much as I have
Watching Miles Garrett throw Trent Williams to the ground with one arm is probably one of the most impressive feats i have seen since watching Larry Allen chase a dude half way down the field and make a tackle
Watt Wednesdays is the best thing going. He's such a great weekly guest that fits the show so well.
Fun fact - General Bob Carpenter’s dad, Rob Carpenter, played for the Houston Oilers from 1977 to 1981 after graduating from the Ohio Harvard (Miami, OH). 🤓
The Oilers “debate” isnt a debate. It is a part of the Titans franchise and isn’t a conversation
But representing oilers when houston is an oil field city makes no sense for Tennessee an the franchise they chose to move there so makes no sense they only become trying to be something they are not js
@@resistancelucayanmayo Stop. They were originally the Tennessee Oilers. The Adams family are the ones who created the Oilers and they have all of the rights to their organization and it’s history. It absolutely makes sense
@cameron3196 doesn't matter why would they called oilers ? 🤔 obviously cause of living in being in houston 🙄 my point is your not there anymore so why cling hold onto something your no longer apart of 🤷🏽🤦🏽
@@resistancelucayanmayo dude they literally created it? Why would you not hold on to something you created?
JJ Watt has been a great addition to the show
Those are the best throwbacks in the league.
Slow clap. Hell yeah JJ we all feel the same here in Houston
This is the only sports show I can watch at this point in my life for the most part. Shout out to the folks over there at GMFB.
Earl Campbell was amazing and I will never forget that beast oiler RB.
JJ Watttt! Literally says literally, literally way too much! 😂
That's how history works. You can't just create a new team then say "hey all your history is now ours"
No, literally crying about nothing. I mean that did happen in the case with the Hornets and the bobcats eventually but it doesn’t always happen.
Cleveland Browns 🙄
What’s the point of creating a new identity then?
@@davidhunt3689the difference there is the city of Cleveland fought for the rights, Houston pissed off Bud Adams and he would of never allowed Houston the city to keep the rights
The Titans are not the oilers. It's not their history. That's why they rebranded, to start their own history in Nashville. The Oilers name and logo belongs to the fans in Houston. Nashville never cared about the Oilers, until they moved there and became the Titans.
I think at least 1/3 of the teams need to go back to their retro unis.
HOUSTON OILERS LUV YA BLUE
“Brothers don’t shake hands…. Brothers gotta HUG!!!”😂😂😂 Tommy boy is a great movie, Shaht Aht JJ Watt for that shirt
The Titans were initially the Tennessee Oilers when they first moved and kept the records of the oilers
I get that but hint the name there is no oil field whatsoever in Tennessee so that makes no sense trying to represent a place they no longer are at an oilers is all houston
@@resistancelucayanmayo Yeah, but it's still the teams history. The fact that they played as the oilers in Tennessee and they stayed in the same division until re-alignment says they are the original Oilers. I get it though, it would be like Baltimore donning old Browns uniforms as throwbacks. Only difference is they never played as the Browns in Baltimore with the old uniforms and name.
@@resistancelucayanmayofalse. Tennessee has over 16,000 oil rigs lol. The Titans are the Oilers, case closed.
@@resistancelucayanmayoand bengal tigers don’t live in Cincinnati
Cept at the zoo
I think I like the Oilers jerseys, only because it reminds people about that team, and the incredible history they had. Legends like Earl Campbell. I hate that we dont have the Oilers anymore, its nice to see those jerseys, they are so clean too. But, i respect the other side too. I can see it.
FACT: on paper Titans own the Oiler records and Unis. Titan fans enjoy those GOAT unis. FACT: the SOUL of those unis and Luv Ya Blue will ALWAYS remain in Houston! When an Oiler fan says “2 feet were in”, no one in Tennessee knows what that means. Soul > Paper
Whatever makes you feel better
So steve mcnair isn’t an oiler/titan?
Watt family vs Kelce family for world domination!
This segment was so funny😂😂
JJ Watt is truly one of the coolest dudes alive. I have so much adermation for that guy.
JJ Watt should host the show for Halloween and dress up at Pat McAfee. Black muscle shirt. Gold chain. Gold watch. Then, Watt can say his quote, Muscle shirts... for muscles.
AJ saying he could match a child to it's parent by seeing their calves kills me😂
LOL i feel JJ on such a level about the mighty ducks
Love It Pat ThePatMcafeeShow Bro Let's Gooooooooo.
WTF??? So we get an hr of JJ each week now too? Man, I'm just waiting for Mcafee to start his own PV channel
Jj has MY Callahan shirt. I feel validated today
Would love to see a Winnipeg Jets vs Phoenix Coyotes throwback game because the Jets would have to wear the Atl Thrashers unis and the Coyotes would have to wear the old Jets jerseys.
Nah hit like right in the chest😂😂😂😂😂almost poop my pants 💀pat the Goat
JJ is a true Houstonian!!! We’ll forever hate the titans and the titans wearing oilers jersey with the logos is disrespectful
There have been so many teams to switch cities but no one cries like Houston lol
Greatest Show out there!
honestly a nfl version of the silver boot would be a pretty great way to get rivalries going again in the league. houston vs tenn for the jerseys would be awesome because even if the season is lost for either team it gives fans and players to still have some interest outside of w-l record nfl marketing get jj on the phone pronto hes on to something
As a Houstonian, I'll be real. The issue isn't Houston vs. Tennessee with regards to those uniforms. The issue is Houston vs. the Adams Family. When Bud Adams moved the team to Houston, he basically spurned the city because they couldn't give him what he wanted. It wasn't like Bud was a popular owner in Houston and at that time, the Rockets had won two NBA titles while the Astros were beginning a 90's run of three straight NL Central titles and four in five years. So the Oilers were the third popular team then. Adams moved the franchise and Houston was left for five seasons without an NFL team. The McNairs came in and rather than request that they be called the Oilers, decided to go with the Texans. When you think about the Oilers, you think about great players like Earl Campbell, Dan Pastorini, Warren Moon, and Robert Brazille even they not once set foot in Nashville. But you also think about the heartbreak because they are among the most snakebitten of franchises having not made the Super Bowl. When you think of the Texans, you think about a new era and an identity that the team has tried to figure out for some time. Great players like JJ, Andre Johnson, and DeMeco Ryans come to mind at first. At this point, the Texans are Houston's NFL team and with what's happening now, fans should embrace that. This leaves me to hope of seeing a potential AFC Championship matchup between the Texans and the Titans in Houston. A battle of something old vs. something new.
JJ knows what h-town wants!!!!!😂
Tennessee rebranded to begin a new identity, I truly hope this can become a sale of rights to Houston someday and we can bring the history back home where it belongs.
Oilers history belongs to the adams family buddy, sorry
Isn't miles Garret the one that swung a helmet at the Steelers QB?
Yeah, bonked him back to the bench
Anyone have the timestamp of the Myles Garrett discussion? You’d be the goat.
Eagles' O-line / D-line philosophy existed long before Siriani was there.
The few seasons as the Tennessee Oilers, I do think of Eddie George in the baby blue
He was a Houston Oiler in 1996.
Need TJ WHADDT on the pod for a Watt Wednesday
I 100% agree with Watt's take on the Oilers uniforms. Since Tennessee changed names to Titans, they shouldn't wear Oilers iconography.
Except it’s their history because it’s the same damn franchise😂 you people clearly have no common sense
@@collinmonohan3556absolutely zero common sense 😂😂😂
57:39 I'd be one of those dad's 😂
Brahhh what about TJs cheeky start when he said AJ I mean AQ 😂😂 😉
Even though JJ wreaked havoc against my Jags most games he is genuinely a great guy and I love hearing his point of view on all things football
JJ wreaked havoc against every team he faced! His first couple years were pure domination
I dont recognize the tennesee titans as a legit franchise. As a dallas fan i respect houstons right to keep the oilers
Amen
@@kennethc9996 i hope they never win a super bowl.
53:44 "Hawkeye technology" very fitting considering what happened to Iowa lol
Tbf, the Houston Oilers moved to Tennesee in 1997 and kept the name "Tennesee Oilers" for the 1997 and 1998 seasons where they went 8 and 8 both seasons before changing to the Tennessee Titans in 1999. Houston Oilers (AFL) 1960-1969 Houston Oilers (NFL) 1970-1996 Tennesee Oilers 1997-1998 Tennesee Titans 1999-Present
Funny, but did no one see the linebacker beside Garrett pinning down the guard when he's making the jump to block that kick?
dude on his other side was doing it to the center too
Here's what Marquise Pouncey said about the fight with Miles Garrett. That was an expensive fight 😅 He said It made him a legend but that fight caused him a lot of money.
AJ is hilarious man!
I would of loved to see how the Steelers defense would be if jj watt was with tj and Alex that would be such a dominant front
Jeeeezus AQ! That's not a calf, that's the whole damn cow!
It would be neat to see all of you. Learn the color blue the next time. You have JJ Watt on with all your names on it and his number. 0:51
It feels like I'm just hanging with the boys and talking football, and listening to their war stories.
Shout out jamie collins, not the beast garrett is obviously but one hell of a kick blocker!
The week isn’t complete without Titans fans bathing in JJ Watt tears 🤣
If the OKC Thunder wore Seattle SuperSonics unis, Seattle fans would riot! 😂😂What’s next? Are the Ravens going to wear Browns unis? That would be insane
You know he AJ AQ'd on purpose 😂
The Navy NASA unis were sick
Lol AJ matching child and parent based on calves sounds like the worst party trick
can we call it the oiler bowl winner gets rights to uniforms ?
Can't believe BC didn't call him out for wearing a Sandusky shirt
I have never seen a DE have that much impact on a game. 95 single handedly kept the Browns in that game. It was an amazing performance. Just wish it wasn't against my Colts.
The best memory I have with the Oilers in those uniforms was the Wild Card Game against Buffalo, where they blew that huge lead. Sorry JJ!
If anything both teams should wear them n different games for both teams
Or the same game 😅
The Houston Oilers and the Houston Texans are not the same team!!!!!!!!!!
Ravens should wear colts or browns throwbacks for a game 😂😂
Don't forget, Myles was in a car accident a year ago. It's nuts how good he is.
He also tried to kill a man on field
@hunterdudley7209 that's true too. Mason Rudolph from the Steelers
@@hunterdudley7209a bug
I honestly forgot about that…
@@hunterdudley7209there’s a funny video from last week ( nov 19, 2023 ) showing him grabbing a helmet and making a joke with the Steelers offensive line men.
I wonder who wrote these transitions
I like the pink slip idea. But I would say the do it every time they play. And winner gets it exclusively till they meet again
I'm just thinking about how the Browns picked Myles and could've still picked TJ at the 25th or 29th spot in the 2017 NFL draft.
Mannnnn, imagine... would be absolutely wild
Would've been way OP! LOL 🤣
That’s like the ravens wearing browns throwbacks before we got our team back. I feel ya
The tight end screwed the pooch but the right tackle's lack of effort on that sack was absolutely disgusting.
Once the Tennessee Oilers rebranded as the "Titans" they should have lost the right to claim the brand identity. Where was all this outrage when the New York Jets were rocking their New York Titans throwbacks? Doesn't Madden allow you to move a franchise to Houston and rebrand as the Oilers - complete with logo and team color scheme? The Kansas City Chiefs wore their old Dallas Texans throwbacks, too - right?
The adams family owns the rights.
Steelers fan here. That jump was SICK! There's a point in adulthood where you just need to accept that there might be great players beyond your team. If you don't accept that fact, well, then you suck as a fan lol. Just embrace football as a neutral fan and it'll be awesome yo!
For people saying the Titans shouldn’t wear the Oilers uniforms don’t understand basic history. The Titans ARE the Oilers. When Bud Adams moved to Nashville, the rights and history of the franchise came with them. Houston has no rights to those uniforms.
O Line x D Line = NFL success, my Panthers used to know that! Now they have just been using the Cut, Fire, Trade strategy which isn't working too good, we are coming out of the bye 0 - 6 =(
JJ Watt is a big baby 🍼 the Texans didn't exist when Oilers had to relocate to Tennessee lmaoo their just uniforms my guy😂
Look. I'm with JJ. We (Houston) have had those uniforms for 30 years! Look. I remember going to a couple of Oiler games in the Astrodome. But, I also remember going to the Astros games, as well as the rodeo. But, forget baseball. Forget the rodeo. Houston and Houston alone deserve them back. Look. I couldn't care less what Tennessee wears. But, the fact they wore those is sacrigil.
The Ravens don’t wear their old Browns uniform. Houston should be upset.
What is sad is JJ Watt has played in Houston for 10 years and doesn't know the History of the reason why he couldn't wear those Oilers jerseys 🤔... If he knew or understood why he wasn't able to wear those uniforms while he played there, then he would know why he couldn't wear those uniforms. Then he wouldn't cry about them as much. Any true Houston Oiler fan would and should know why the Texans are not allowed to wear the Oilers uniforms... Just do your homework, and you will know why they can't. Mr. JJ Watt
JJ on Wednesday might be the best part of the show. Saban on the other hand is maybe the worst repeat guest I’ve seen
Not to mention but the police cars were also luv ya blue up until around 2000. The city stopped painting the cop cars blue to save money.
TJ Watt is royalty in Pittsburgh. Everything about this man says Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I have no clue how he is from Wisconsin. Lol. (That Wisconsin thing is a joke yinz guys).
If someone in Houston sells a knock-off Watt jersey in Oilers blue, they'll make a lot of money.
I’m pretty sure the Seahawks turned a players only meeting into a superbowl after starting 2-2.
Tennessee needs to do the right thing and sell the rights to Houston.
No the right thing is them keeping the rights because it’s their franchise and not Houstons😂
Block him before the snap and take the false start on the field goal.
😂 better than getting blocked 😅
JJ… WHAADD
bears alts are lit.
First, they were the Houston Oilers, then the Tennessee Oilers, then became the Titans. The Texans have no relevance to them other than the same location of Houston.
Exactly as you said, they BECAME the Titans. That’s all of Houston’s history. You see love ya blue you think Htown.
@@ketosand and the Titans kept their history as the Oilers. The Texans made a completely new brand.
@@ketosand you see love ya blue and you can think what ever you want, it doesn’t change history and history doesn’t belong to the city it belongs to the franchise
@@silenttoxic707 eh no, i think majority of people think of Houston 😂
@@xwiggens6741 they can think what ever they want and still be wrong or incapable of moving on 😂🤣
Is there a single oil derrick in Tennessee. FSU pulled an ugly uni out this year. Unnecessary when they have one of the best in the game.
I think one of the strangest things in society is the build up of athletes/celebrities' which I get in terms of you support the team JJ is one of the greatest, the stories etc. but even shown here, were all the same, we all hate kids bday parties (the parents) and the jokes, the banter, the teasing of each other etc. and its funny to me how anyone meets a celeb/athlete its all fan fomo instead of just treating the person like a person..... 1. You could gain a friend 2. youll get coolers stories if you treat them like a person then a fan.... but just seems odd to me..... The boys have done a good job going from regular dudes to chatting with pros and celebs and treating people like normal people...
Dude you have to bat wit a light saber
The Titans own the Oilers trademarks and if nowhere on these throwback uniforms it says Houston on them there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Titans wearing these throwbacks. The Texans don't own the Oilers trademarks so no Texans supporter should get upset about this.
Teams relocating from one city to another should be enough to get people to stop supporting billionaires and their franchises. None of these owners are loyal to a city. They just want to get out of paying for a stadium by using tax payer money. Professional sports attracts dumb loyal people when there is absolutely no connection to the professional team other than they reside in your city. Why do people get so attached to teams they don't own or play for? It's lunacy.
