Moscow, late 1980s. A scout from a French modeling agency finds a girl Anna at the Izmaylovsky market who suits him in every way. He is not confused by the fact that the potential model knows several languages, but trades dolls, and Anna flies to Paris and starts to work. But her real job is not to pose for the cameras - the fragile girl works for the KGB and has to clean people by order of Moscow.
