    • No offence to red bull events, they're fantastic. Dakar though, intense and awesome for it's action, is a rich man's event or those with very deep-pocket sponsors. Plus the entry fees alone are over the top rip offs compared to something like Erzberg, it's like an ego trip that would bankrupt any common man, regardless of his skill level. And my comment is just in consideration for Bikes, double or perhaps x's 10 or 20 for cars and trucks if you include all expenses.

  • Seeing Toby's reaction after the race on the Dakar highlights page and the footage of the way he was riding looks like he wasn't pushing anywhere near as hard as Benevides. Toby said he "missed" some way points by a couple meters. I don't buy it. I think the team told him to slow down and let Kevin win.
