Actually, the Statue of Liberty should be the main target as it was destroyed the most with a total of 13 times (the Bridge was only destroyed 12 times, very close).

When GORGO (1961) was first in development, the producers wanted to set the film in Australia. However, they realized that Australia had no interesting monuments to destroy (pre-Sydney Opera House), so they opted for London with its recognizable locales. Great video - and I laughed to see the Eiffel Tower destroy the Arc de Triumph, since the two structures are no where near each other.
Goddamn, humans are amazingly fast. they rebuilt these structures and all exactly the same way after it got destroyed before the next disaster hits it.

Mars Attacks was great because all of its over the top insanity was done to deliberately be ridiculous whereas other films are actually trying to be serious but end up being over the top and ridiculous
