Benavidez doesn't need to worry about Canelo anymore, he has already moved up to another weight class. He should focus on his upcoming fight against Gvozdyk, who is a former champion at 175lb. I am confident that Benavidez is a skilled fighter and will give a tough time to Gvozdyk in the ring. There is no need to chase Canelo anymore, as there is no reward for a fight at this point.

It’s the only fight I would agree using a rehydration clause. The biggest weight bully of them all. Years ago lost the belt on the scales. Didn’t make 168. He can’t make it now without a dangerous weight cut. He would rehydrate to 220 lbs on fight night. And canelo has never weighed more than 180 lbs ever. That weight bully is gonna have a hard time making 175 lbs let alone 168. It’s a money grab. That’s all.

How come no one talks about how Benavides is afraid of fighting David Morell? Benavides was supposed to fight David Morell last November but he chickened out and cancelled the fight at the last minute. It was part of the 3 fight deal with PBC but he chickened out. He ended up fighting 36 year old Andrade instead. Morell is waiting to fight Benavides to destroy him in the ring and end up his career.
