I have easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials "do it yourself" (DIY) videos to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers and zero turn mowers.
I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.
Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed whacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, zero turn mower, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.
My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.
I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.
I have the largest Small Engine Repair Video Library on KZhead and the entire internet with over 1200 videos, just GOOGLE "DONYBOY73"!
I want "DON THE SMALL ENGINE DOCTOR" on KZhead to save you time, frustration and most importantly, MONEY with my HOW-TO videos!

• Came across a similar one today. Came to the same conclusion after trying to adjust it a couple times, this one wasn't cracked as bad, but the nylon was worn. The short length of rope you can put on the recoil really invites destruction with this 'easy start' system, which unfortunately seems to be true for most easy start systems if you try to start it like a conventional professional saw.

  • I have a Poulan Pro PR5020 20", made by Husqvarna, so my Pull Starter may be the same or very similar. I'm sure that Husky Rancher costs a good bit more than mine, so cheap plastic parts may haunt me, but I certainly hope not. I have a large diameter, 6 foot tall stump at about a 60° slant into my yard in a back corner that barely touches my property line from a hurricane-downed tree and two more recent smaller whole tornado-downed trees to deal with, and possibly two large trees to take down, one very large with crazy long, thick and high branches. I doubt that 450 Rancher saw this much work, so I'll see how the PR5020 holds up. An organization came to deal with the hurricane-downed tree for free, but left this large stump because it is not on my property. I bought the chainsaw to deal with the hurricane stump, and possibly the two large trees, but now I have more to do than I started with. I bought an Oregon bar and chain because reviews said those that come on it are junk. I'll use them until trouble and then put the Oregon on. I bought a Stihl 3-in-1 Sawchain Sharpener to deal with sharpening quickly and easily. Another great one, Don. Thanks for all you do for us. You're the man! I can't afford a $28/month Patreon and don't see "Buy me a coffee." Are there cheaper Patreon options? The only other Pateron I do has a $4 option, which I do for him, and they go up from there, but I didn't see options on yours. I'd like to help you and your wife.
