They just drip feed enough content to keep you hooked and milk every last cent of your money. I miss the days of paid DLC because at least then I felt like they were selling me a game and not trying to make me an addict. We used to get so much new content when we had to pay for DLCs. I would rather go back and split the player base than stay where we are now.

I don’t think it would feel as bad if you could stay on a server with a map rotation for multiple rounds. I think there are 10-12 maps, but it feels like there’s a 1/3 chance you’ll play the same map twice in a row (not counting switching sides in Rush/Breakthrough).

Obv it was better when bf4 shipped with 10 maps, then added them through paid dlcs so you couldn't play all the maps unless you bought the game again, and then people ran private servers so 80% of the time, you played the same 7 maps. Much better than having 12 maps on launch, going up to 16 and all of them getting played.

I applaud the efforts you've made to improve the game. That being said, the map situation is not impressive. Reworking a broken map is great, but it hardly counts as new material. I think more and varied maps and innovation, or at least the return and/or improvement of features found in previous BF iterations. Variations in time of day, weather, etc even offer more variety and longevity.

The BF2043 trailer for the pre-released was just hooking me in on nostalgia that doesn't exist. I really wish we got Damavand peak. It was the perfect clusterfk of a map from outside to inside but DOABLE and not a bottleneck. The new points on many of the 2042 maps just create these chokepoints where progress isn't possible even with a decent team if people can halfway melt into the ground or be behind one sided invisible walls.

It was a double-edged sword though. Yes you had more content to enjoy, but it also split the playerbase into people who were willing to whip out their wallets and people who weren't. Now content is drip-fed but everyone gets to enjoy it equally. Do I think they could be doing a better job at giving us stuff to play with? Absolutely, but I still understand this system is better for the community at large in the long run.

Add a map for vehicles, where there will be more tanks for 4-5, aviation. Where there will be a good landscape without blocks and gorges and rocks. There were a lot of big cards in BF2 BF3 create like. That is , the REAL landscape . And one urban one for close-quarters battles by metro type, only of course not a copy.

Give us maps from bfbc2,bf3,bf4. Very missing maps from Metro, ziba tower, atakama desert, snow maps from bfbc2 were great. And most importantly on the main screen inside the portal section add a separate assault mode so you can play the valparaiso map and port arica, if there are a couple more maps from BFBC2 would be great. For the subway map vobshe should fix a separate tab to all who want to play it around the clock. was such an opportunity. Just give people what they want, give people a choice, hear people already.

Super hyped for this mode it seems like it will be hectic and fast paced. Personally i would really love to see the solo/coop modes get the same revamps to breakthrough the actual online gets, add the option to be defenders in solo/coop breakthrough as well as all the portal maps and let us have the option to unlock T2 and T1 badges in solo/coop mode simply just because the playerbase numbers are not the greatest and some QOL updates to the solo/coop modes would be great for when the playercounts drop off at night and to add abit of longevity to the service when the next battlefield takes priority over 2042

This looks fantastic, I'd love to play but when I booted 2042 up via EA on PC last night, I was alone? All empty servers, even in the server browser and I couldn't find any games through standard matchmaking. I assumed I was bugged and needed to restart/update but I had already done both of those to no avail. I ended up playing BattleBit instead which worked perfectly. Anyone experience this or know a solution?

They just drip feed enough content to keep you hooked and milk every last cent of your money. I miss the days of paid DLC because at least then I felt like they were selling me a game and not trying to make me an addict. We used to get so much new content when we had to pay for DLCs. I would rather go back and split the player base than stay where we are now.

We as a community need more maps as people are already getting bored of bf2042 with 1 map every 3 months.
I don’t think it would feel as bad if you could stay on a server with a map rotation for multiple rounds. I think there are 10-12 maps, but it feels like there’s a 1/3 chance you’ll play the same map twice in a row (not counting switching sides in Rush/Breakthrough).

Obv it was better when bf4 shipped with 10 maps, then added them through paid dlcs so you couldn't play all the maps unless you bought the game again, and then people ran private servers so 80% of the time, you played the same 7 maps. Much better than having 12 maps on launch, going up to 16 and all of them getting played.
It would have been an amazing opportunity to introduce a new IFV vehicle.

I applaud the efforts you've made to improve the game. That being said, the map situation is not impressive. Reworking a broken map is great, but it hardly counts as new material. I think more and varied maps and innovation, or at least the return and/or improvement of features found in previous BF iterations. Variations in time of day, weather, etc even offer more variety and longevity.
None of it is impressive. When I see 2142 brought back in a new version I’ll bring my guys. Until then I’m not wasting my time with it.

Frontlines is fantastic, but only really pairs up nicely with trench warfare, can't see it working well on many of the maps we have now

Ong making the new map only for exodus conquest which is only sometimes available was the dumbest thing they could have done. three month wait and no map for most people who play 128.

@@TheSanityX i just hate season too. dumbest thing ever. we get like two new guns and maybe a vehicle and one map, and 90% of the dlc is cosmetics. the expansion packs were completely superior, no useless cosmetics, actually good map(s!!!!) and new vehicles and guns. they call cosmetics content and it’s actually such a joke. cosmetics won’t make players keep playing the game and give them a reason to play. real content will.

I used to be againist the Premium system in previous BF titles, but at least we got a constant flow of new content and maps, this game is just sad, 2/3 of the games lifespan was spent fixing maps

Honestly the coolest thing about bf 2042 is the ability to play with bots and when they ever make another bf game hope they consider keeping bots
You can't play BF2042 when the servers are down even against bots. Once they shut down the servers, the game is pretty much gone.

The BF2043 trailer for the pre-released was just hooking me in on nostalgia that doesn't exist. I really wish we got Damavand peak. It was the perfect clusterfk of a map from outside to inside but DOABLE and not a bottleneck. The new points on many of the 2042 maps just create these chokepoints where progress isn't possible even with a decent team if people can halfway melt into the ground or be behind one sided invisible walls.
Bring back Silk Road, Golmud Railway, Operation Firestorm. BF4 had over 30 maps. Hard to believe. Might as well bring back CTF while you're at it.

Paying for decent content is better than the microtransaction infested dreck we get nowadays.
It was a double-edged sword though. Yes you had more content to enjoy, but it also split the playerbase into people who were willing to whip out their wallets and people who weren't. Now content is drip-fed but everyone gets to enjoy it equally. Do I think they could be doing a better job at giving us stuff to play with? Absolutely, but I still understand this system is better for the community at large in the long run.

Add a map for vehicles, where there will be more tanks for 4-5, aviation. Where there will be a good landscape without blocks and gorges and rocks. There were a lot of big cards in BF2 BF3 create like. That is , the REAL landscape . And one urban one for close-quarters battles by metro type, only of course not a copy.

Guys at dice i have to say that im impressed, because of ea you had to change the whole game ad lost a ton of staff, but you still managed to make the game fairly decent, i hope that you will have more time to work on the next battlefield.

Gameplay now is very enjoyable. NOW we are lacking more maps for the regular 2042 experience and Portal. I feel like portal has been left behind and it hasn't received any major update or anything.

Give us maps from bfbc2,bf3,bf4. Very missing maps from Metro, ziba tower, atakama desert, snow maps from bfbc2 were great. And most importantly on the main screen inside the portal section add a separate assault mode so you can play the valparaiso map and port arica, if there are a couple more maps from BFBC2 would be great. For the subway map vobshe should fix a separate tab to all who want to play it around the clock. was such an opportunity. Just give people what they want, give people a choice, hear people already.

Super hyped for this mode it seems like it will be hectic and fast paced. Personally i would really love to see the solo/coop modes get the same revamps to breakthrough the actual online gets, add the option to be defenders in solo/coop breakthrough as well as all the portal maps and let us have the option to unlock T2 and T1 badges in solo/coop mode simply just because the playerbase numbers are not the greatest and some QOL updates to the solo/coop modes would be great for when the playercounts drop off at night and to add abit of longevity to the service when the next battlefield takes priority over 2042

This looks fantastic, I'd love to play but when I booted 2042 up via EA on PC last night, I was alone? All empty servers, even in the server browser and I couldn't find any games through standard matchmaking. I assumed I was bugged and needed to restart/update but I had already done both of those to no avail. I ended up playing BattleBit instead which worked perfectly. Anyone experience this or know a solution?

I had to update Windows (cumulative Update) which triggers a BF2042 update. My brother had the same problem.
