We get his point it's just really dumb. The best MMA fighters in history were all specialists that learned enough in other areas to implement their unique skills. Guys like Anthony Smith who are 'well rounded' struggle to cope with the fact that they will always lose to someone who is much better in one part of MMA while being less 'well rounded'. Guys like Alex, Khabib, Maia, etc. show that being the most skilled in one area is better than being above average at everything. Anthony is the one missing the point and would get KO'd in less than 2 mins shooting sloppy takedowns against Alex. The only elite 'well rounded' guys in MMA history were GSP and Mighty Mouse, and they both started as elite strikers and over time developed elite grappling.

Especially when I see him struggle to get back up there is so many ways back to your feet as long as your legs aren’t trapped under you which his usually aren’t .
