This was the best “real” tutorial I have seen..thank you!
That was super easy to follow. I am excited to give them a try and practice several times. My daughter’s wedding is coming up in a few months!
I just found your channel also. I tried fake lashes before, but I gave up You make me not want to give up . I may try it again . thank you
The best tutorial I’ve seen for false lash newbies…I started with Ardell #110s too but didn’t cut them in half…excellent tip… I just subscribed to your channel. I use that lash glue too. Thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻💕
This tip about cutting the lashes in half looks to be a game changer. Thank you so much. I'm 62 and I don't go a lot of places where I really dress up. I have a very low maintenance look, anyway. However, while I don't expect anyone to think I'm in my 40s, I grew up being mistaken for younger (until I had twins lol). So, I hate that my eyes really just seem to disappear. I bought the Ardell Ecolashes no. 940. They are short. I do not have the polished, dressed up look that Michelle has, and I NEVER wear eyeliner, as I have tried and tried to get it right and I'm just no good at it. I don't want anyone to figure out that I'm wearing false lashes. I do wear contact lenses, and with these shorter lashes, and lack of glasses, that's all the boost to my looks that I really want. I don't even add liner and no one can tell my lashes are false.
Michelle is right, Practice Practice and Practice, you will get the eyeliner too, It worked for me !!!
You are a literal angel I'm brand new and never thought about cutting it in half and just doing the outside . I wondered if we could but didn't do it because I didn't know I love you!
First time here. Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
Michelle, why did I wait soooo long to try this? Fantastic! I’ve been wearing lashes off and on for a few years (I’ve always had short, straight and thin lashes). But I don’t always do an application job that’s comfortable! This was so easy and comfortable enough for everyday. Thank you!! ❤️
Oh! I’m so happy to hear this!
Can’t wait to try, I have wasted so many lashes. This just might work for me
I just learned for the first time how to put on false eyelashes with another tutorial. It turned out so so. I found your tutorial and am so thankful I did! It makes so much more sense to cut the false eyelash and do what you instructed…in fact watching you has built up my confidence to keep going with this beauty task! Thank-you, and appreciate you taking the time to do this tutorial!❤
Thank you. I have a draw full of fake lashes that I’ve never used.. now I have the confidence to try. ☺️🌺
I have a bunch that I'm too chicken to try. I'm afraid of gluing my eyeball together 😂
Omg! This is the best lash tutorial I’ve watched. Definitely gonna try this technique ❤️
Just tried this for the second time today and the lashes came out better and easier!! Thanks!!
that’s incredible!! never give up, it gets easier and you get better
Ooooh, I can't wait to try your technique! Thank you for this great tutorial!!
This was so informational and they look great. Thank you for the tip!
This video is very informative! Excited to try them!
Best lash tutorial ever 💗 thanks so much 😊
I just found your channel. I believe you are probably about 15 years younger than I am. I'm 63 and just starting skin care (big tanner in Scottsdale). Thank you for being so positive and helpful! Love your work!
I'm learning so much from you! Thank you so much!!!
I tried this tonight and it was so easy compared to the more expensive lashes I’ve used in the past. I used the Ardell 110s you recommended and cut them in about 1/2. They are so much easier to apply below my natural lashes, especially with the eyelid droop that comes with being 50+. Thank you for the tutorial!
Thank you! I needed this last year when I was Mother-of-the-bride 😊 but now will try again
Awesome. Thank you and also for helping us older gals
I use to use them when I was young but now I’m finding them very difficult to do, the half lash should be easier to try. Thank you so much.
Finally.. I'm so excited! I have a small fortune thinking I can do it "this time". I am a graphic artist and cannot put on eyelashes. How sad is that? I've always had long thick lashes, but after COVID immunization they are still long but very sparse. So is my hair, unfortunately it's only on one side which is okay but constantly makes me look lopsided. I am a flight attendant and have to be at work very early in the morning like 2:00 a.m.! Is it able to wear lashes overnight so they can be ready for my work schedule. Even possibly more than one day, maybe only two if I had to sleep in them if possible. If anyone else knows in the comments please let me know also. It's an amazing tutorial and thank you so much!❤
Thank You Michele !! What a great tutorial . I can do this !!!
I KNOW you can!!!
I’m late to the programme, but this was great! So helpful, thank you 🤗
Thank you for this video! I’ve been wanting to try lashes! 😊
I’m so happy you learned from it!
Wow! Great video!! Thank you for this!
Thanks for all of the great tutorials, Michelle! I learn something from each and every video. I am curious, what is your opinion on magnetic lashes?
This video was very helpful i always wanted to wear eye lashes but never knew any of this stuff thank you so much 💗 please keeping making videos like this one 😊💕💕💕
Thanks Donna and thanks for watching!
I've worn my lashes twice, now and I was putting the glue on my lid, like liner. I knew it might be wrong but the instructions are printed in a font sized about -5 and I couldn't see it. Can't wait to do it by putting the glue on the band. lol
I am a true believer and thrive mascara for the exact same reason cheap mascaras I cannot wear they make my eyes itch, but I’ve been using thrive for probably three or four years and they do extend your eyes it comes off in the shower love love the brand of mascara ....I am a pet sitter most of my clients are in the movie industry in all aspects from Actors to producers to make up artist etc. and a couple of my older clients in their 70s and 80s look fabulous and they all have false eyelashes so I’m getting to where it’s time for me to make it a new normal....
Hey, I worked in Hollywood too!!!
Greatest video ever thank you so much
I am laughing so hard at myself! I put those false lashes on yesterday, but didn't watch this video first. So, of course, I actually put mascara on them, threw away the snipped off pieces, and then threw the lashes away when I was done. I am dying laughing. Okay, next time no mascara, and save the lashes! Also, I need to get that KISS glue!
Wow! Thank you..i promise you and myself im definitely trying this. Great idea about cutting the eyelash. So using the inner cut lashes can be worn in the outer side of our eyes!! Awesome. lol thank you, thank you!!
So happy this was helpful!
great tutorial ,thank you !
😂 "Snuffleupagus" thank you for that! Childhood memories. ❤ So many people apply the lashes onto their lashes instead of the skin, which results in pulling out lashes later. It also helps to go SUPER slow when removing.
Thank you sooooo much!
Great video!
Best advice evah!❤
Awesome! Thank you!
You are amazing, thank you!
Thanks so much!!
Thank you x
So glad i found this video!! What do you when natural lashes are super straight?
That’s tough, you need a good eye lash curler for Asian lashes, try Shiseido or Shu Uemura. Then you need a curling mascara, a mascara that holds lashes up all day
if i could give you 50 thumbs up if i could!!! you are simply the BEST!
Wow! Thanks so much!
Just subscribed from London.
I have no lashes from alopecia. Do you have a video on how and what strips to use? I also wear glasses and need ones that don’t hit the lens.
What eyeliner are you using? Thank you!
Love the "demi" lash idea. I found a pair of dark brown demis, in the 70's, when I was in high school. I LOVED them. And, somehow, I never had to apply glue. I just pulled them off the form and stuck them on. I used them over and over. Since then, I've cut full lashes in half, just like you did in the video. Sadly, though, I cannot find dark brown lashes anymore. The brown that's available is too light, probably better suited to redheads or some blondes. Black is too harsh for my coloring. And, now that I'm in my early 60's, I definitely don't want that. Do you know of anybody making dark brown or black brown lashes? The struggle is real! Also, I've been fascinated by the double-strip, magnetic lashes--not the ones requiring a special eye liner. I like the idea of how quickly they can be applied, and no mascara is needed. And, eye liner is probably optional. Plus, it seems that with a strip of lashes above AND below, it would be very hard to tell you are wearing fake lashes, since your own lashes are encased, with the whole thing being seamless. Could you do a video on the magnetics?
Have you tried the ones with special liner? I'm curious.
@@annfraley-mylife Do you mean the ones that don't need adhesive? If so, no I have not.
They're heavy to wear ...
Kiss makes a “bronde” color
I have dry eyes .. Self adhesive ones could be an.option?
Will these lashes work for hooded eyes as well?
Can these also be applied on the underside of the lashes? Thanks
I’ve noticed that my lashes on my left eye are trying to be straight ughh I’ve always had long thick lashes. Now as I am older they are thinner and more straight. I’m assuming I need to curl them??
Wonderful tutorial. Some questions: How do you clean the lashes so they are reusable for the next wear? Also it would be helpful to have more clarity about which half of each eyelash goes on the eye. Also, did you apply eyeliner before you added the lashes, and if so what product did you use?
She said only apply mascara AFTER the lashes are applied and only to your real lashes, she applied liner both before and after (to mask the glue better), I think she said the inner lashes of the two halves, rewatch she shows it I believe, and I think she said thrive mascara (warm water removal), but didn't mention the liner type.
Just read a comment by her elsewhere and she said "I love the Stila or Maybelline Ink pen liners, they’re waterproof and can be as thin as you like. Or, the Elf No Budge pencil liner on waterline"
Hi can you cut the lashes even like 3 places to start or get the ones that you can put under the lashes, would the kids white glue work on the underneath little peicy lashes? You make it look so easy. This is my first time. Thank you so much for doing this video. Julie
You can cut it in as many segments as possible! As far as gluing under the lashes, try it!
Hi im heading towards my 60s and sadly been having semi permanent lashes that have really damaged my lashes. The main question id like to ask is my hands shake badly with medication. Is there anything you can suggest that would help please? Ill definitely try the cutting in half but think tbat would fail due to sparse and short lashes tgat have survived. Many thanks ❤ from the 🇬🇧
For us hooded eye gals not wearing liner on the lid, can we still pull off this look? Love your videos! I feel like I have hope to still look good in makeup while I age :-)
I have a very hooded eye and the only way I’ve ever gotten falsies to really look good on me is by applying them in segments from underneath. I have no room for traditional upper eyeliner, but I do tightline, so underneath is really the way to go. You may find the same works for you.
My eyelid is so soft & wigley wrinkle Hard to hold it moves It’s even hard to put liner on , it takes longer I’m 65
Beginner here! Just found your excellent video! Two quick questions: Do you leave the lashes on from day-to-day or remove daily? Also, if you leave them on, how do you wash your face (and with what product)? Thank you!
I remove daily!
Does the glue go on the top or the bottom of the false eyelash? Or both?
Is it easier to do partial eyebrow
What eyeliner do you use? I always have problems both applying eyeliner to my older, drooping eyes and finding a product that doesn't end up giving me raccoon eyes!!
Great question! I love the Stila or Maybelline Ink pen liners, they’re waterproof and can be as thin as you like. Or, the Elf No Budge pencil liner on waterline
How do you prevent that eyelash glue from looking crusty? When I use it it looks like crust on my lash line and I want to avoid that look. It’s why I prefer black glues but then it gives that dark line in the eye that looks like eyeliner and I don’t always want that.
Err on the side of less glue, but evenly thin across the band.
Thank you..today I tried to put full lashes didn't work..I couldn't do that..🎉❤
Curious - do you curl your lashes - when I've tried fake lashes mine stick straight out (brown) while the lashes curl up (black) and it looks so silly!
Yes, if you have straighter lashes you must curl first, possibly use a curling mascara, and then pop on the lashes!!!
@@maturemakeupmasterclass Okay, I'm back - my first foray into a lash curler didn't go so well! I tried the pro one from Elf but it turns out it is too big and I can't get it close enough to my lash root without the sides hitting my nose bridge and somehow I've managed to also pinch my upper cheek with the handle (facepalm). Ugh. I did a little research and for deeper set eyes I'm hearing the Tweezerman Pro might be an option but before I plunk down more money, I thought I'd check back in with you... Maybe for us gals that have been curler shy all these years you might consider a video? I don't think I have the technique right either. I'm honestly terrified I'm going to clip them off...I'm the kind of makeup newbie that shaved off half her eyebrow the first time she tried an electric shaver (note to self NEVER get the two sided ones!!)
@@dawnmichelle1835 oh wow! I had no idea! Ok, a video need to happen! Thanks for the idea. I will tell you that my favorite lash curler EVER of my life is ShU Uemura, hands down there is no equal. It's around $20 or so but you'll have it a decade and you can buy the rubber inserts when needed
The outer half of the lashes are the ones we use?
It depends on lash style and eye shape
Hi, do I apply the ends of the lashes after cutting them?
With glue and tweezers
I meant the outer half of the lashes not the inner half right?
@@1m0nik1 the outer half can be too long. I often use the inner half. I can do a video next week
Awesome, thank you so much. Just found your channel two days ago and I had been watching all of your videos 💓
Thank you, I will try this way. How to remove the glue and some mascara (if some there)?
glue is springy, like rubber cement, pulls away easily. I never put mascara on the fake lashes, this way I can reuse them up to 6-7 times
Yes, I have a severe allergy to latex. I hope this product is cruelty free.
So frustrating w taking the reading glasses on and off!
I feel like it doesn’t work without the eyeliner. Unfortunately I don’t like eyeliner.
OMGosh you cannot possibly be 54 you look 25 to 30!!! I just got my lashes and had a not so good first attempt, actually it was a disaster. So I'm having great problems with my glue that came with the lashes. It doesn't seem to be mixed very well, so it's quite runny. I want to try Lashify glue next. I just had my lashes done a month ago and they were beautiful but expensive. Then I don't really want to pay a $150 a month to go in every 2 weeks to replace the ones that fell out. So thank you for this tutorial.
This is actually healthier for your lashes than Lashify or extensions. Keep playing and practicing. Always buy glue separately, it's better quality and freshness.
Seen some the other day that looked like.mustaches. lol. Don't wear them if they look fake!!
I can’t really see with all that eyeliner
You should have backed the camera up cuz you’re doing a bunch of stuff off camera and it’s annoying!!
Some of them are hideous and laughable
Too much talking not enough doing
