1 there's only two educational institutions in the entire kingdom And that's only if you count the gerudo region as part of the Kingdom. Which to be fair it's technically its own separate kingdom making hyrule an empire. One of them barely counts. What's destroyed in is now run in a cave the other counts slightly more but both of them are volunteered. In what do you mean there's a limit to your power? To be fair...Link was about 17 when he was put into that coma 100years ago. He wouldn't really have been guided on how to file for taxes. And I should think that with all the glitches he has available, Link wouldn't have to worry about any fees

Tom Nook is amusingly fitting for this job, and Link in this is portrayed a LOT like a new Villager who Tom looks at and goes "Yeah, you're not entirely competent, but you can't go without a place to live, so here's a home." This is a Tanuki who can loan someone the money to buy a house, have its exterior changed overnight, give you a job, happily pawn your useless junk even if he can't resell it, teaches you responsibility, the ins and outs of your town, never pressure you to repay the loan, and no charging interest. That's just scratching the surface, and yet here, he was unable to keep Link away from prison. How badly does Link have to goof that even Tom Nook can't get him out of trouble with the IRS?

Just use the Finnish tax system Only entrepreneurs have to file their own taxes in Finland and the state has it done for everyone else after they send their tax info to the employer. You only have to check your taxes when you have irregular income. Also Link is the bulk of the military so he should be getting a cut of the budget in his disposal He may not need roads or schools, but should he get paid from the defense budget (which he should for doing most of the military work), he would be taxed appropriately if he just sent his tax info card to the crown just like any employee in the Finnish tax system. Also is trade tax free in hyrule or do prices include value added tax Furthermore Link is canonically more powerful than the IRS (he can beat ganon, the strongest monster thing in existence AND his entire army), he can overthrow it and together he and zelda can rule the kingdom
