  • Sweden is really just Haak playing. The setter sucks, middles can't block, and outsides have poor service reception.

    • Busa is playing as there 2nd floor defender..it's very important to manning the floor defense because Boskovic can do all the offense..

    • Busa is more on defense and passing (thankfully her reception has improved a lot over the last 2 years), for offense they're developing/working on Uzelac.

    • ​@xyvealfredflores1723 yup, Busa and Katarina Lazovic, are mainly in charge of receiving and defence. But she's far from being "useless " as an offensive player. Depends on team, like in 22/23 season, playing in Ankara, she was by far the best scorer of her team.

  • Imagine Serbia with Vargas as a backup as well (she got the serbian citizenship before the turkish one and was going to play for the serbian national team) But then many serbian volleyball legends (such as Vanja Grbic) critisized this whole "naturalization" process and so she went for Turkey

    • @@_Redronin_ no, she was never naturalized. All the people living in the Republika Srpska (the serbian entity of Bosnia) identify as serbians and receive the serbian nationality at birth. Its very different from the Vargas case

    • Group A was the hardest becouse of two very strong teams such as Serbian and Poland. Unlike Italy and Turkey which had weaker teams. There are the circumstances sorry. Dont underestimate Serbia World champion...

    • @@sanjakilibarda4463I know you are biased but for once, be fair. group matches are nothing, because 4 teams get though to the next round. But the qualification matches are important and teams only have one and only chance. Since 2021 Türkiye plays quarter finals with Poland. Serbia always gets the easiest way, and Italy only gets tough opponents in the semis. This is so unfair. Serbia won‘t face any serious opponent till final, for god‘s sake. Cev always favors and protects Serbia.

    • @@yelizk8667 it's because Serbia already won against Belgium (Turkey had a hard time against) and Poland (Turks are fearing of). If they lost to Poland they would have been in that Turkey-Italy bracket and Poland in Serbia's path right now.

    • @@sanjakilibarda4463you are so biased that you can’t even accept the facts. Serbia has an easy path compared to Türkiye, Poland and even Italy. And this exact thing happened in 2021, too. It’s a FACT. I haven’t said anything bad about Serbia. I’m stating facts. I do not underestimate Serbia, on the contrary, we see Serbia as the biggest opponent, even bigger than Italy. Tica and Maja have been playing more than 7 years in Türkiye and we know what they are capable of. We respect Serbia but Serbia fans always make fun of us, pointing out we don’t have any gold medals. You can look up the comments, I haven’t seen one single good comment from Serbians. They even tag us with Cuban flag 😡and they even dare to belittle 😡 our VNL GOLD. We have to defend ourselves to this hostile comments. Unlike your fans, we are not disrespecting Serbian team. I don’t want my team to compete Serbia, Italy or Poland before semi-finals because it’s not fair. Netherlands gets through to the semis, but Türkiye or Poland won’t. This is so UNFAIR!

  • Serbia always takes the easiest path to the finals. This year Serbia won’t be facing any serious opponents until the final. In 2021 it was not before semi-finals they had some competition. But Türkiye and Poland had to compete each other at the quarter-finals. This year it is happening again. It’s not fair and can not be a coincidence, two championships in a row, for god’s sake. This does not directly affect the success but it definitely reduces the chance of semi finals and causes fatigue and stress before the finals.
