  • no doubt that in his prime, Mir was the best and in reality if it weren't for that accident he would still be like one of the best if not the best.

    • I don't know im not a frank mir fanatic but I just give credit where I belive that its due. and since frank did a lot and did beat a hungry tim Sylvia and others I think that if he had never gotten into that accident he would have been the champ at least 2 more times or maybe even today. but its kind of like how brock had that disease that could have killed him and we'd all like to see how much better they would have been if they hadn't gotten sick or hurt you know? I guess we will never know how good brock or mir would have been if it hadn't be for they illness/injuries, but we can say that hey at least they were champs for a period of time and they both are good guys and that's all that matters I think.

    • Keep dreaming idiot. Beating Tim Silvia does not mean you are the best. Frank was never the best and beating old Nog doesn't prove shit. As the other guys said the best HW's were not there yet and Frank was subbing a few overrated guys or old guys. lol

    • +liukangstoupee To say someone went further than their potential is idiotic if you're using the word correctly. A person will never exceed their potential, though obviously they can fall short of it. And it's not murder's row, it's murderers' row.

    • liukangstoupee Nope just annoyed by an idiot butchering the english language... You're the one saying a UFC champ shouldn't have been a champ. Do you think you should have had the belt? Anyone who can pick up Wes Sims has "functional strength." No one needs cocaine to see he was a great heavyweight fighter.

  • Frank Mir's story is very inspirational, to be able to overcome so much adversity. And his wife deserves most, if not all, of the credit as well. Many people would have called it quits after going through that downward spiral, and ended their life.

    • Dude, he’s a fucking 6’3 250 BJJ KICKBOXER, if he’s depressed, drunk and high off pills and liquor, I’d be very fucking scared if I was his wife. One wrong move and she’d be drinking through a straw.

      @vineezyproductions9638@vineezyproductions9638 Жыл бұрын
  • Reality: His wife looks like she took a lot of drugs also, look at her face. Also Karma caught up with Mir, he was never the best but that mentality that he would actually rip another fighters arm off (not really possible) if the crowd wanted to see it means he is a douche. Frank beat some old Nog and Tim Silvia. lol. Frank was fighting in a sub-par league of HW's at the time. The best HW's at that time were all in Pride and not in the young UFC. HW's like Barnett, Werdum, Mark Hunt, Fedor, Sergei Kharitonov, Mark Coleman. Etc

    @ziongite@ziongite9 жыл бұрын
    • He was also TKO'd by a tomato can when he was fighting tomato can. lol. A guy called Ian Freeman TKO'd Frank. Go look at Mir's record. It seriously is very unimpressive and the fact that people claim he was the best ever before he had the accident is fucking retarded.

      @ziongite@ziongite9 жыл бұрын
    • Before Franks little accident he beat some tomato can's called. Jerome Smith, Dan Quinn, Roberto Traven, Pete Williams, Wes Sims. Got TKO'd by Ian Freeman and then beat Tank Abbott and then beat Tim Sylvia. Then had his accident. You really call that shit right there the best fighter in HW ever? WT actual fuck. Seriously.

      @ziongite@ziongite9 жыл бұрын
    • Regardless he has put up some decent and intense fights against the HW in UFC and though often he didn't win, it wasn't catastrophic. He goes the distance and has outstripped his previous reputation of a BJJ specialist in favor of a guy who can both give hits and take them. What is your point? You are commenting on a video detailing Mirs' life and the emotions involved and degrading him because he's not the "best". Fans of Mir don't care whether he's the best or not. They respect his intelligence, his resilience, his technical ability, his calm-headedness, etc. As you said, look at his record. This video is not designed to applaud Mir as the best fighter to have ever lived. It's just here to respect him as a great man that did great things with his life. #Wank# Consider Sakuraba. Look at THAT guys record. Destroyed all of the Gracies like he was buttering bread. Became an international sensation and a paragon of catch-wrestling. But his record? Not spectacular. Look at HOW a person fights, rather than their statistics. And you will understand why people respect Mir.

    • +ziongite Big Nog was 32 at the time of their fight (Frank was 29), a three year difference and you're saying Nog was "old"? So does that mean an "old" Frank Mir beat an "old" Big Nog? Which basically means they were on an even playing field. Sylvia was 30 years old at the time of their fight and already had a history of steroid use, but Frank had the unfair advantage? And you know, once the interim title was created because of Frank's accident, Sylvia held the title throughout 2006 (two years after his fight with MIr), but Sylvia was still too "old", right? You say that Frank was fighting sub-par level heavyweights and that all the real talent was in Pride. Well guess which heavyweights were in Pride? Big Nog. Guess who defeated Big Nog only two years after his last fight in Pride? Frank Mir. Barnett, he was in the UFC till he got popped for steroids. Werdum won against no-name opponents during his time in Pride. Hunt...sorry but he wasn't a top-tier heavyweight during his time in Pride. Sergei...also won against no-name opponents during his time in Pride. Coleman...you mean the guy who came from the UFC and was filled to the gills with steroids and threw fights? The only top-tier heavyweights that Pride had were Fedor and Big Nog (the latter of whom Frank defeated twice). The UFC wasn't all that different, all they had at the time were Tim Sylvia and Frank Mir, so ultimately the heavyweight divisions of both organizations were equally stacked.
