  • A bittersweet occasion for me. Of course I’ve always wanted to see the Northern Lights. But so did my Mum. Sadly she passed away on March 30th. Seeing the aurora borealis was a lifelong dream of hers, she so desperately wished to see them one day. I couldn’t help but feel very sad and even guilty that I was getting to witness it…while Mum missed out on her childhood dream by a mere 6 weeks. The best I could do was take a picture of her outside and point it at the sky. And hope she saw it up there in heaven. A purely symbolic gesture…but one I hope she’d have appreciated.

    • I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. I'm sure she would have been able to see the aurora from heaven. :)
