  • Simon, the CEO of XG, became aware that some deaf individuals were following the group. In order to include these fans, he requested the presence of a sign language interpreter to translate the lyrics of the song. Subsequently, he asked the choreographer to create the choreography based on this translation. Later on, Simon made sure that the message was being conveyed clearly and comprehensibly both in the lyrics and the choreography. This initiative demonstrates XG's commitment to promoting inclusion and accessibility for all of their fans, regardless of their hearing abilities.

Totally ridiculous to make this kind of high budget music video with more shots than they need and then to crop literally half of the song if the full version is never coming out. Think of things like Akira, Ghost in the Shell. In fact, Western cyberpunk is often said to originate (1970s and 80s) from fears of eastern cultures "taking over". Sci-fi works are often said to be based on that era's fear of the future, and western cyberpunk is much the same.

Having the members faces covered by styling + lighting lends a robotic/mechanical feel to the dance (also literally with the ai transition shot of the choreo earlier). So while it draws attention to the center member, i also love the contrast of that organic roll movement there against a more mechanical image. It feels like a combo of organic humanity + ai futuristic tech, which ties in thematically throughout the video and directly with the solo member shots following. Big fan of the photographer/director who worked on this project and of these reactions, I always learn so much!! Thanks for doing them, Jordan!

Another thing about the motorcycle shot is that it definitely looks like a callback to the iconic image of Akira, the classic 80s animation movie, and the camera moving backwards somewhat makes it look like the motorcycle is drifting away, like in the actual scene of the movie. • You're right that visually the center dancer out of sync a bit makes the total sync look off or sloppy, but it is not a mistake; ALL XG Choreos signature is that the center always has a slightly different choreo movement than the other 6. They have no problem doing it with all 7 bruh, that is just how they roll!

  • love your reaction!!! So interesting and educative🥰🥰About the choreography, Maya who is center in that part and also the one singing does a slightly different movement there to highlight her. Choreographers often do it to draw the attention to the singer and give them the spotlight and then try to blend it in with the rest of the members choreo as well as possible. I actually really like that part of the choreo and thought it looked really nice and unique but that is subjective I guess😇 At the end of the day XG absolutely slayed as always!!!!

    • I think its the framing of the shot or how it the shot looked too plain to match the entire music video. When you look at a normal view of that part in the choreography its actually very good, but in the MV it looks boring compared to the rest of the shots in the music video, and I think its the reason it becomes underwhelming.

  • I feel like the last shot was intentional. It's a prerelease for their mini album and with the MV being so short and the last shot being so long it makes you want more. So then, we go to whatever music streaming platform we use to listen to the whole 3-minute song, while also making us anticipate what's coming for their mini album.

  • my business prof showed us a quote saying something along the lines of 'a successful business is one that can do what is difficult.' though this isn't a business, i think it still applies--you are able to do what is "difficult," something that isn't easy or automatic, but something that takes effort and intent. i can see all the effort that goes into reading up on the story/intent behind all the MVs, and not a thing goes by unnoticed in your videos. I'm constantly amazed by your expertise and attention to detail and i just wanted to take the time to say that i really appreciate that! ur great at what you do n keep up the good work!

  • Maybe I'm wrong, but I can only assume that the last part serves only to give the last, long, clear view. This MV is perfect in terms that it's short to also act like a promo, after all the song is awesome, the vfx are over the roof and the last shot is like - Hellooo~ PS: And also you're right about the sign language, their producer talked about it, so it's true.

  • I beg to differ that "messy" part of the choreo worked really well especially with the lyrics and choreo how it emphasized "ladies". Also the smooth movement of her dancing along with the sudden stop of the effects gave your eyes a break in the best way possible. Her movements were hypnotizing and ngl this scene stuck with me the most. It was like both a break and an emphasis
