Mesquite burl bowl woodturning was a massive burl. I used resin and coffee grounds to fill in all the voids.

    • We work with Mesquite all the time here in South Texas near Devine. I currently try have about 90 tons waiting to go on the sawmill.😁

    • Wow. How big in diameter is the mesquite there at the trunk. Here is west Texas a big tree is about 8-10 inches. A huge tree is over 12 inches but there isn’t many out there.

    • Yes it was extremely dry and very hard. Most mesquite is very hard and you will not get the pretty ribbons of wood if of mesquite. You may if it was still green/wet. I personally haven’t turned any mesquite that was green/wet. I need to though just to see what it’s like. Thank you for watching.
