    • @peamina What even makes you think I'm being homophobic? I didn't insult anyone for being gay or lesbian, but I'm angry and disappointed because the lesbians are making cottagecore gay. Cottagecore wasn't even a gay aesthetic before, and now people are assuming it should be gay because lesbians like it. Its so annoying. I have nothing against the LGBTQ people but I hate when they're doing stuff like that. There shouldn't be a specific gender to like an aesthetic.

      @violinette.7389@violinette.73893 жыл бұрын
    • @peamina Okay, sorry if I seemed rude. I was just irritated from what they were doing lol.

      @violinette.7389@violinette.73893 жыл бұрын
    • @@violinette.7389 You know, I think you might want to reconsider your stance on this, for a few reasons. 1. Nobody has 'made cottagecore gay" . No one has said, 'You can only like cottage core if you're a lesbian", and you're right, this isn't a gender specific aesthetic. It is, however, very popular amongst women, and thus, there are many lesbians who enjoy it. 2. Like I said before, no one can make an aesthetic gay. It sounds a little like you dislike that fact that there are many women that love women who enjoy the same aesthetic as you, which is... something that you might need to step back and examine. 3. You said that cottagecore was never gay before. That isn't true. According to an article on the aesthetic by Cottage Life, "The movement was originally spearheaded by young women and LGBTQ people, who envisioned a rural utopia where they could raise chickens and frolic in fields or forests. " Many young women and LGBTQ people, specifically women, use cottagecore to embrace traditional living and feminine interests without the homophobia and sexism that often goes hand in hand with other communities that celebrate the same thing. I hope that these observations help you understand why what you said is a little problematic. I'm not trying to be rude or call you out, but I thought you'd like to know that what you said IS a little UNINTENTIONALLY homophobic

  • This is my favorite poet. She spent her days writing poems while hunting for mushrooms and berries, in the forest near where she lived with her girlfriend. I'm convinced she's the real pioneer of cottage core lol 'Peonies’ by Mary Oliver This morning the green fists of the peonies are getting ready to break my heart as the sun rises, as the sun strokes them with his old, buttery fingers and they open - pools of lace, white and pink - and all day the black ants climb over them, boring their deep and mysterious holes into the curls, craving the sweet sap, taking it away to their dark, underground cities - and all day under the shifty wind, as in a dance to the great wedding, the flowers bend their bright bodies, and tip their fragrance to the air, and rise, their red stems holding all that dampness and recklessness gladly and lightly, and there it is again - beauty the brave, the exemplary, blazing open. Do you love this world? Do you cherish your humble and silky life? Do you adore the green grass, with its terror beneath? Do you also hurry, half-dressed and barefoot, into the garden, and softly, and exclaiming of their dearness, fill your arms with the white and pink flowers, with their honeyed heaviness, their lush trembling, their eagerness to be wild and perfect for a moment, before they are nothing, forever?

Just me, myself and I, don't giving a damn about anything, living in a tiny cottage in a mountain, enjoying the peaceful side of nature. Enjoying rain days, as well as sunny days. This is my ideal life. But instead I live in the city and my dad wants from me to show to people what he wants me to show. I feel so doomed tho.

She loved language, words of great depth, creating stories with wondrous imagination, and finding deep meaning in everything. She chose to study and become a teacher so she could share those parts of her with others. Dont look at it that your Dad is forcing you into anything, you're not doomed, but rather look at the beautiful things in you and think what can I give to this world, what can I add, and pursue that! School isn't a prison, there are many fields of study you could follow that could be beautiful because you make them so! Exploring the world we live In, which ever way you choose to do that will be rewarding :D

  • I like to listen to this and imagine I’m on the porch of my home in the old countryside, sitting on the worn down steps of my home, husband by my side, as I watch my children play in the fields. The sun is going down, the soft wind may pick up soon, signalling that a storm could be heading over for the night, but for now, the world is quiet. Birds sing in nearby trees, the children chasing each other in a game of tag with no rules to it. The baby is asleep in a little basket next to me, and I can hear her soft little snores as she rests. The wind picks up from the bottom of the grass, making the loose strands from my hair sway. I smile. Everything is alright, only sunshine and flowers can reach me here

  • This gave me so much inspiration for my story! Ty so much!! It's bad but here's a little snippet "The moon is high in the sky. All shiny, glittery, and bright in the puddles a moth stares at through a blurry window. The night felt like a thick duvet of reassuring coldness settling over the world, sending all she envelops into an oniric wonderland, where all heartaches are lost and all is better under her watchful eyes and gentle hands. For a few peaceful hours, the forest go to bed and rest, until the sun rise himself high in the sky in-between the flurry of then invisible stars. A moth lived in the darkest part of the forest. Although not hidden. A gravel path would lead anyone following it to him, a healer, a sorcerer. Soft knocks pulled him out of his reveries, wondering who could be foolish enough to come to him in the middle of the night and disturb the thick silence wrapping around each and everyone. Settling down his paintbrush all the while checking the clock, he read 1 hour and 34 minutes away from the new day. Soft knocks again. ”Hello?” This was a voice he couldn’t recognize, and so he didn’t bother with barking out an answer. “Is there anyone here?” Would they ever leave? The moth was growing more and more impatient. His paint would dry soon and worse, the beautiful moon he loved and adored would leave him again. But oh to his demise, the knob turned. In what felt like a millisecond, he threw one of his boots at the door, hitting it right into the center. “I’m sorry!” Said the unknown voice again. That’s it, he’s opening the door. The hinges creak and protest but as the wood moves to let him see who has been nothing but a bother for the last 10 minutes, he’s struck with a vision that would burn itself into his retinas for what felt like an eternity. A butterfly sat small on the ground, cradling a quickly reddening hand. “Don’t you know it’s nighttime?” The words flew past his lips, eager to make the little butterfly go back to his own cover. “I-I’m aware! But I have no cover left and everything is dangerous for butterflies like me… I asked everyone I know and all told me I could seek help here.” The moth sighed, not all that pleased to have to take in a butterfly. They’re all prim and proper, won’t keep it shut about his messiness, have to speak constantly, it’s more of a bother than anything else. "

  • This digital collage is beautiful. The colors are so warm and inviting, especially the pink tinge to the photograph. The etching-style bugs make it feel like an old fairytale book. The layering and differing sense of depth really make it feel especially dreamy, like a little window. Accompanied by the music selection, it's an incredible piece!!

  • I live in Poland in a small peaceful place and I must say. Where I am (near the flower fields and stuff when it is starting to be a sunset) is basically a really accurate representation of the playlist. Especially when I was at one place once where there were those old polish cottage buildings (specifically 31:11). I was reading a book that also had similar fantasy topics mixed in with old Slavs. And yeah nice one!

  • "When warm’d with zeal, my rustic Muse Feels fluttering fain to tell her news, And paint her simple, lowly views With all her art, And, though in genius but obtuse, May touch the heart. Of palaces and courts of kings She thinks but little, never sings, But wildly strikes her uncouth strings In some pool cot, Spreads o’er the poor hen fostering wings, And soothes their lot."
