  • Good idea.. My suggestion is to use plastic or rubber sleeves in the holes where the ropes passes, so I'd avoids cutting of ropes due to sharp edges of metal... It overall increases the life of ropes...

    • Probably better to let the rain just run through the tube when it is vertical so it doesn’t rust out. I have seen the ends of tubes rust out around the plastic end caps because water gets trapped between the steel and the plastic. The tube he used is thick wall it won’t rust out very quickly.

  • Nice idea. But instead of using a single rope, use individual ropes and tighten each one separately. Otherwise it will sag too much and the nylon ropes will be cut at the holes. Drilled hoses usually have jagged surfaces on the inside.

  • Exactly what i was looking for when i wanted to install in my terrace. But had to use a fixed outward proturding permanent one. I was convincing my provider to make it folding , gave him many ideas etc but seems he wasnt as smart as u . It would sell very well, think over it. All the best.

  • The edge of the falling metal tube needs some soft padding. It is at the corner of a turn and will hurt people. Also while people lift clothes to dry, it may hit them on the head. Good idea, but needs to be made safer.

  • Stainless Steel string is also available encaseed rubber pipe is very strong and long lasting. But this design good, must be very expensive for such job.

    • @@Alexsoft76 , у меня тоже дохрена таких БОЛТОВ ( в магазине все есть), но есть рационал... Даже в наших, Российских условиях, дешевле купить сварочный, чем все садить на болты.... ;) Автор канала конечно молодец, столько хороших идей и решений,я просто предложил дешевле вариант.

    • Может у него тупо сваркафобия :-). Я тоже преподчитаю варить, если надо сделать надёжный и не раздельный узел. А раньше не было сварки, так тоже, сверлили, нарезали резьбу, садили на винты и болты.
