Ingredients for caramel pudding （焦糖布丁）:
120g sugar （白砂糖）
40ml hot water (热水）
4 large eggs （鸡蛋） - grade A
60g caster sugar （细砂糖）
350ml milk （鲜奶）
1/2 tsp vanilla extract （香草精)
Ingredients for sponge cake（海绵蛋糕）:
3 large eggs （鸡蛋） - grade A
90g caster sugar （细砂糖）
75g plain flour （普通面粉）
15g cocoa powder or chocolate powder （可可粉或巧克力粉）
30ml fresh milk （鲜奶）
50g melted butter （溶化牛油）

    • Trinh Nguyen I think so, I mean , all the cakes of this type I have tasted are like soaped in something sweet , so I think she did it for that reason

  • Whoaaaa! That’s noice! I was planning on making a creme caramel for Father’s Day so might try this instead 😍. Why did you add water to the caramelized sugar? I’ve made a flan / creme caramel and the recipe didn’t call for adding water so am curious to what it did for your recipe. Maybe I’ll learn something new and / or a new trick. Thanks.

    • I think the reason is that without the water the caramel will set once it's poured into the cake tin, and your caramel layer will be uneven.
