Overnight in a Cabin on a VERY Sharp Ridge
eng subs available
Hey! Welcome to a new video!
In this episode I'm exploring a very remote part of Western Alps (more precisely, Valpelline in Valle D'Aosta region) to climb a sharp ridge and reach a very solitary cabin: Bivacco Pasqualetti (3290m)
I had this adventure in mind for quite a long time and finally I made it happen!
the route to the bivak is not easy. almost 2000m D+ and a IV grade ridge with a few passages of V.

Absolutely breathtaking!💎
can you please recommend a few circular hikes thats doable in late may this year? I love mountain photography and do mountain trailrunning, but not so good with snow!
Beautiful views … breathtaking. But that ridge line ! OMG knife edge!
Blows my mind to even think how that cabin must have been constructed !
Unfathomable 👍
only thing I can think of is it was made on the ground and helicoptered and set in place or something
I’m gonna try to find out!
@@vickiwalker3486did you find anything?
Exactly...I want to see the construction video as well...
Prefab cabin flown in by heli, installed in one day. It is a memorial to a climber who lost his life. Luca Pasqualetti....May you rest easy
Your statement and/or answer to the subject of how the cabin got there as well as why is appreciated. Thanks and cheers from Canada!
It was more logical to put signs at the bottom of the mountain, that it is not recommended to climb up this mountain, because Mr. Pasqualetti already lost his life here.
What better way to remember someone who fell off a cliff than to sleep on a cliff?
You can’t stop the heart, it wants what it wants. Since the brave people want adventure it’s nice they have a place to rest on their journey. RIP Luca 💐
@@msbonni3408 No. To place a hut their for overnight, you insinuate the climbingway beside it to be fairly safe, which is proven to be wrong. So you tempt people to risk their lives.
Anxiety level when watching this in bed while trying to sleep: 10/10 Nicely done. Amazing video.
I get giddy just watching the video. 😃
Yes indeed.
Ik, I'm holding my breathe 😂
Litterally me now
Bruno, you are my inspiration! I am an old lady now but used to climb in the Engadine, Switzerland. I follow your beautiful photography and all the memories of my youth come back to me. I now live a more relaxed life by the sea in Greece, although my home is in California, but my most wonderful memories were my climbing experiences away from the crowds and noise, where I could challenge myself. Thank you!
So u understand.. I watched it thinking nuts!! But they were safe the whole time! Completely amazed me! ❤
Wow! You sound like you’ve lived a fascinating life! Ever consider writing your memoir?
@@greeranelsonmy thoughts exactly! I'd love to hear more.
I call bs
I don’t want to climb anything, but that relaxing next to an ocean in Greece sure sounds nice 👍
This is such an underrated channel that deserves so much more. I find Bruno and his vistas and compelling, calm storyline telling to be a calming influence in a world I find increasingly mad.
totally agree
100% agreed
I now him since yesterday and yes unterrated
Well ! I just subscribed ! That ridge was scary !
Jesus loves you ❤️ 💖 💕
Never seen such quality, your story telling and skill is superb. You're a gem, thank you
To me the most fascinating part about all those cabins is how someone builds them there in such hard to reach places
I can only guess maybe a helicopter dropped off the supplies?
A quick Google search confirms that the materials were delivered by helicopter.
@@Jacbowron basically the whole thing was delivered as prefab and just lightly assembled up there.
A fear of heights would never allow me to come close to this. Truly amazing footage. Bravissimo
Do you feel nervous right to your stomach just watching?
Heights like this make my balls physically ache! It's bizarre.
@@PobotrolMine are hiding. Not in a billion years would I ever try to climb that.
This is not fear of heights but it's something called having a brain. Risk your live for the recognition of some strangers on the internet smh😅
Same, also my fear of dying
Omg was anyone else holding their breath watching them climb? Wow. You guys are beyond amazing.
Yes, definitely! I couldn't look at the bottom of the screw either
I have stopped this kind of alpinism and switched to trail running when I became a father. It was the right decision for me, but because I am not in this kind of terrain anymore, I really really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you.
Mee too
Good to hear you're being responsible. It takes character to take such a decission!
@@kmg1100 Thank you.
The cinematography of this video is AWESOME. I will never ever have the physique to visit such cabin or even climb to the sharp ridge in my life but you just give us a glimpse of the amazing view and the reward from completing such climb. Kudos to you and Marco!
The cinematography of this is just stunning. Thank you for bringing those of us who will never be able to do this there to that beautiful place.
Such great photography. The ridge looked horrendous. Even in my youth it would have been beyond me. Thank you for the beautiful film and commentary.
My kids and I love your adventures and beautiful cinematography on these stunning landscapes 🏔️🏔️🏔️
The fact that you climbed and still managed to capture all these amazing scenes on camera is unfathomable. Take care, keep doing what you love, I wish you all the best!
I hope people know how difficult it is to be going on such hard terrain and still find time to capture such beautiful footage on your own. Mad respect for you for doing this. The footage are beautiful and I love your humble commentary. The kind of adventurer I love to watch
9:25 Rembrandt, Matisse, Monet...hell I have a Pisani. Thank you, mate!
You produce some of the best mountain footage!
Thank God for people like this. You couldn’t pay me to do this. god bless you !
If pizza man can't deliver there, then the place is useless
Stuff like this just make me so happy to be alive being someone who lives in England and is surrounded by buildings and cars it truly does start to play with your mental health and you forget how big and amazing the world really is just watching your videos and looking at the sky with no pollution is amazing then all the views from the far mountains and vast weather it truly makes you appreciate life thank you for making these videos you truly have helped me remember what a beautiful place the world is and one day I my self am hoping to grow the balls and say forget my average life it’s time to go explore the mountains and find peace
What a great adventure Bruno. Incredible story telling, spectacular views and sceneries that feel like heaven. This is better than any content on Netflix. I am glad I get to watch your content because I feel like I’m with you in this adventure. That’s the beauty of your film making skills. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Who in the hell completed the cabin???
was probably delivered by helicopter
Why ! This is pollution. Take a tent if you must but take it home with.
People used to do things, now People "mainly with money" just go places. Tech is to blame. People built stone hinge... probably... this is simple someone with money paid someone without to build a cabin, ppl pay ppl to take them up everest those ppl hike up there daily, but you only ever hear of the billionaire who made it to the top.
@@electriccoconutshut up
@@MrTripp02wtf are you talking about? It's a prefab that was put there for climbers to spend the night. Shit ain't that deep bro
Thank you thank you for sharing your adventure. I'll never do anything even close to this but for a brief time I was able to experience something amazing! The videography work was absolutely stunning!
The view it's so beautiful that I cried watching this. It must have out of the world experience for you to stand on top of the ridge. How lucky you are!
I come from Berlin, but till I was 13 my family and I used to go to nothern italy almost every year. We spend a lot of time hiking in the alps, but since then I haven't been there. Your videos let me remember all the good memories of the peaks and cabins!
As someone who resides in the Eastern portion of the United States with all it's rainfall, seeing mountain peaks that are so little weather-worn is an incredible sight.
Bruno, this is one of the most amazing climbing adventures I've ever watched and was floored by those rock crags you climbed up and over to get to your destination cabin in the sky. Thank you for sharing it with such outstanding videography. My legs still hurt from just watching this, LOL! I'm sure yours probably did too.
That was such a great video I just happened to stumble upon. Your camera work, your calm story telling, and the content is just great man! For not having a lot of rock climbing experience, you handled that ridge perfectly. Well done. Cheers from Colorado, USA!
Fabulous! Well done, Bruno! Your photography exceeds anything I've ever seen.
Finally another adventure to enjoy! Thank you Bruno 🥳
Bruno, this footage is astonishing. What an amazing trip, I admire your strength, sense of adventure and your bravery in going to this place. Thank you for sharing with us!
Mind blowing location! I would probably fall on my way out the door, sort of like "watch that first step"....plunk! Being a 63 yr old mom, not sure if this is ever something I would want to try out, so a big thank you for taking us along on this amazing journey!
Amazing cinematography. Brought me to tears
Non ci sono parole... il silenzio della montagna e la voce delle tue immagini... straordinario... grazie di averci portato in paradiso!
Amazing! Thank you for taking us with you to see this wonderful places.
This is your best to date. Thank you for creating it and sharing with us.
Concordo al 101% … editing super professionale… top!
Grandissimo Bruno! Però il liofilizzato dechatlon proprio no 😂... Matteo dagli un po' di buste lyo 😏.. Bivacco per pochi cmq complimenti

Im terrified of heights but I couldnt stop watching and needed to see you reach the destination. I think its your calm voice makes it easy.
Unreal Bruno! One of the craziest huts I've ever seen
Thanks man! Yeah this is a real gem!
Man your videos are phenomenal. The combination of beautiful shots and storytelling is spot on!
I've traveled half the world and had some beautiful and wonderful adventures in my life too, but nothing as exciting as yours. Don't think I'll ever dare climb those spiky rocky mountains to get to that cozy cabin. Glad you both made it out alive, so you are able to share your fantastic experiences with us. Bravo!
I'm thinking the car ride there would be a deal breaker for me ... 😂 Kudos to the brave people of heights
I found your channel while browsing my phone, later that day I wanted to finish this video on my big 4k television. Your journeys are meant for the big screen
Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. You are both amazing people and adventurers.Glad you made it safely!
Hi, Bruno! Watching your video is a pure joy❤ thank you for sharing.
wow, this video got me in awed! I am so amazed at how you climbed this mountain and really happy for you to have achieved this dream of yours! I love the story. I love everything about this video! keep going!
Wow Bruno, that was some adventure - yes unique, perhaps the most dangerous climb you will take. That knife edge was scary. The rock can be rotten and give way unexpectantly. We are glad it did not. Be safe. Have fun. And come back for more. Gracias a Dios.
Spettacolo! Le immagini col drone all'alba con la nebbia e la luce del sole che la attraversa, che meraviglia!
SOOO AWESOME! Thanks for sharing! Glad you came back safe and sound!
I am impressed. Such a spectacular place. Thank you for sharing.
wow! it's absolutely amazing. Very nice videos and pictures. It's very nice to see such small huts. I've never seen before such experiences in this perfect quality. please more

I was so engrossed by the photography and the climb. It looked so dangerous that climb, but I continued to watch. Looking forward to more this year.
This is like seeing another planet. I'm happy there are incredible ppl in the world that do amazing things.

I'm so grateful for people that film themselves doing things like this. I would _never_ be able to (even watching the video gave me the willies) but it's incredible to watch the journey

Just breathtaking!! Views, ridge, this cabin... And I love your way of describing things! Good job! 😊

Thanks for your great content. This is one of the most stunning views which I've ever watched on KZhead. Keep it up.
Hello Bruno! I've been following you for 4 years now, and every time I go on an adventure since "the wild side of the Dolomites - Monte Cridola", I almost always come across magnificent images. Now, I just kept a masterful slap in the face! Your adventure with Marco is a breathtaking and fascinating spectacle, my palms are still sweaty! Please be careful and keep working on the details of your adventures, remain humble and concentrated. You really scared the crap out of me! Thank you Marco & you for this intense shared journey.
Okay Bruno, this one really seems on another level. I've been following your adventures for quite some time now, and while they are ALL spectacular, this ridge looked impassable to my mind. I still can't quite believe people, like yourself and your friend were able to tranverse such precarious terrain. I truly love mountains since childhood yet i don't think i would have the balls for anything even close to such a trip. Lucky for me though, I'm able to get a close up of such breathtaking beauty, because of your outstanding camera work. I truly thank you from my heart for your fantastic channel. Wishing you will always always return from your amazing trips. Grazie mille.
Such beautiful scenery. Thank you for doing these climbs. I could never have done any of them.
That footage at 11:30 is just amazing with the fog and the wide angle lens making it look so bottomless.
Beautifully done, surreal place. Thank you for sharing this with the world
