Nice info i just pulled my belt off and seen red pink residue Toyota colant crusted up all down the timing cover and noticed play in the pump back n forth made a whistle wine noise thought it was the tensioner or idler pulley

Definitely bad water pump. Mine had no bearing play or noise. Just pink coolant clump. Working great since replacement.

Good video, I'm about to do the same on the same car. Did you need a the special tool the manual says I need to hold the bearing in place ?

I was able install the water pump properly and is not over heating. But now it’s giving me vsc system alert. It want pick up speed. It’s been sitting up for 3 months before I finally fixed it.

At what mileage did your water pump fail? I have a 2007 ls460 as well. It’s at 100k miles right now..just wondering

Duc Le I bought with 166k replaced at 190. Don't know if it was original pump

The bearing is what typically fails first in the pump and will get noisey. Then start leaking coolant from the weep hole, which usually you see on the ground. But I found out Toyota coolant can crystalize and will clump up on the engine instead of puddle on the ground. So look for pink crystal clumps.

I am looking at one them car are they reliable found 2007 Lexus LS460 with 85,000 miles dealership said it's in Excellent condition has good service History too worth buy or walk away.

Hello, is A&B bolts the same length? I know both use a 12 mm and C uses a 14 mm for the water pump housing. Thanks in advance, Joel.

Do a part search at an auto part site for your vehicle. What carry is what your vehicle requires. Or check owners maintenance manual to see if belt is required to be replaced.
