I am not even sure why people called the Suter-Kuzmenko-Mikheyev line the second line. It is increasingly clear to me that Suter, while a capable player, is not the right center for the two Russians. (You can say the two wingers are not the right fit for Suter.) My guess is that Tocchet wants Suter and Mikheyev to cover Kuzemko's defensive shortcomings. Something is going to give. Once you get into the playoffs (and hopefully before that), that line got to get going.

    • @@nameless_no_name Well, they needed to get hot, just to get into a playoff position. I'm not sure that I agree that playing hard makes you more prone to injury. Sitting back may be worse. But, I doubt that they can keep going at this pace for the rest of the season. But they certainly got their confidence back, and I doubt they would lose it, even with a few bad games, if that happens.

      @my3dviews@my3dviews3 ай бұрын
    • @@my3dviews Certainly red-lining can be hazardous. Seasoned vets will say you cannot go 100% for the entire season ect. Ken Holland was known for resting Stevie Y and Lidstrom giving days off in March when they locked their post season position. A good example is Markstrom. If he plays 60 games, he is one of the best goalies in the world. If you over play him, he breaks down. We got Zadorov to assist with D relief so Hughes and Hronick could ultimately reduce their minutes. Redlining can physically and emotionally wear a guy out and grind him down and make him prone to injury
