  • Whats sad is that by now in 2020 this back breaking work should be a thing of the past flatbedding is severely behind in technology or advancement. Because tarping is not 100% affective against weather elements. Companies would save thousands wrapping there own shit.

  • Well, I can almost "GUARANTEE" that 90% of the time you WON'T have a NICE, DRY, WIND FREE, TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED warehouse to TARP in for sure!! Great video but, DEFINITELY not very REALISTIC. Just saying now and keep it 💯. 🤨😏👌🏾👍🏾

  • my husband took a picture once when he worked at TMC where he had to tarp banded, composite outdoor decking, that had been shrink wrapped. Made zero sense. and the $40 TMC paid tarp hardly made up for it. or a 2 drop load to 2 different Home Depot locations where the rear section unloaded first....but one final piece was loaded by HD distribution at the very front....so off comes the entire tarp job for that one piece. then re-tarp. Tarping is a primary reason he left flat bedding. TMC = "Tarp My Cargo". Otherwise really enjoyed working for TMC; just to much time messing around with tarps; and on trailer swaps at Lowe's DC...you'd have to leave tarps with the trailer and pick up a preloaded trailer and without fail, pre-loaded trailer had terrible tarps; missing D rings, holes etc. SO that next steel load pickup was a night mare keeping dry.

    @marladucey6782@marladucey67822 жыл бұрын
    • Reason why I told my dispatcher not to book me tarp loads...besides mofos don't pay tarping crazy right...tarps are terrible..at that 8ft drops....all the loads were not even close to 4 ft...made it hard to be folding all that excess tarp....done with it unlees they pay and get better tarps..

    • I assume you’ve figured it out, but in case you haven’t: Throw straps over your load and don’t tighten them down all the way. You want about 10 inches of play in the strap. (you can use for securement or just so you can get the tarps on in the wind). Roll your tarp out underneath the straps. Get down and tighten the winches so you have 5-6 inches of play. Back on top of the load, let your tarp sides down. Climb down and bungee as normal. The wind may flap the tarp, but it can’t blow it off because the straps aren’t letting it create enough lift. Remove straps or (since the wind is obviously problematic) tighten them for extra securement. Wyoming 60mph wind approved.

  • Why not spend the extra 1/2 a second and hook the straps properly instead of to the rub rail? Not only does this leave the straps unprotected but it also reduces the working load limit of the strap, which is 5,400 lbs because it’s now hooked to a 2,000 lbs WLL light-duty aluminum rub rail.
