Overview:
Temple Run 2 is an exciting and fun filled endless running adventure and the follow up to the very popular first release Temple Run, the developers have made a lot of improvements to the sequel, the first thing you'll notice is the graphics, the first one was rather flat while this one seems to have depth and finer textures...it is smoother on the edges so to speak, the gameplay also had an improvement, first, controls seem to be more responsive and second, the obstacles here are more exciting, there are more hills, dips and gaps, more winding roads, more obstacles, zip lines, even a bone head that you can ride as a luge and many more, making the overall experience more exciting and fun, there is also a bigger monkey chasing after you...albeit it wants to retrieve the ancient cursed idol you stole from the temple, indeed, the game has truly leveled up, the game also features a variety of characters for you to use and a lot of cool powerups to help you in your run, a lot more reason for you to play the game over and over, so come on and play the game, experience the thrill and excitement...truly a sequel worthy of its title.
Graphics and Sound
Temple Run 2 has beautiful graphics, the characters are awesome with their cooler designs and sharper looks, each one of them having their own distinct appearance, quite unique compared to the others, environments are stunning, the designs are more gorgeous, it has more diverse in designs and certainly look cool and pretty graphically, colors are great, it is sharp and vivid, very nice to look at whether you're inside the temple or outside...it doesn't really matter, animations are also great, the character movements are smooth and so are any moving part in the game, music and sounds are also cool as ever, the game soundtrack is awesome and exciting and the sound effects resonate all throughout the game, you will rarely hear silence while playing, special effects are also cool, although nothing breathtaking, the visuals certainly look better compared to the first one, overall, this game is definitely a notch higher, an improvement from the first game in terms of graphics.
Gameplay
Temple Run 2 is an endless runner just like the prequel, but this one has an improved gameplay, obstacles are more exciting and fun and there are lots more to do here besides running, jumping and swiping, you can actually ride a zip line here to get to the other side, or ride a luge that looks like a bone head to make your character move faster across the level, and a mine cart that you can ride through the tunnels, but I think the best improvement to the gameplay so far is the ability to use gems to continue your run from where you died, this new feature makes the game less frustrating and certainly more fun to play, other characters are also available, they cost though, in coins...better save up if you want to play the game using the other characters...they look quite cooler than the default one really.
Features
Temple Run 2 features beautiful graphics, there are a variety of characters available, cooler and more exciting obstacles, there are also cool rides to help you traverse the level, and best of all, you can now use your in game gems to revive your character and continue where you died.
Conclusion
Temple Run 2 is certainly better in visuals, but what's more important is the improved gameplay, I honestly enjoyed the first one but I think this game is a lot better in all aspects, play the game and see for yourself if you haven't played it yet.
