How could these beautiful innocent dogs be in any shelter? They all should have loving homes.
They have and they will.
Yep. Can be said for any sweet dog sitting in a shelter through no fault of his own.
They are in shelters because they were with the wrong humans who should not have pets and probably kids too. Another reason is they rent apt/house where they can afford but no pets are allowed.😢If they have a compassion pet landlord doesn’t have to renew the lease.

Thank you for rescuing! I'm a rescue mom of special needs and seniors. I have my last rescue with me here, she is 19!!! I promised her it would only be her and I till she crosses over. My nephew lives in Oregon. One day I'd love to visit! I'm 60 and relocating from a very cold Northern Illinois climate to a recreational community in Missouri. One day I'd love to rescue again. Your an angel on earth just like Lee n every other beautiful human being that rescues n saves animals from every single situation in life. There are abusers n saviors. I am on the latter's side. I've rescued cats from 2017 til I had to move in with my sons due to back, knee n leg pain from sciatica n degenerative disc disease. I've had 2 surgeries a few months apart so I moved in with them to help me in 2022. I've always grew up with animals n will continue to save, rescue n nurture whatever needs doing to make an animals life safe and warm. We are their voices n hope. Plz continue everyone until your last breath to teach about TNR(Trap, neuter, release) if it's a feral who can't be socialized n adopt, don't shop for all the ones who r friendly. All these fur babies are going to flip out when they meet the pack and realize they are now living heaven on earth. Thank you for taking such good care of all of them.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND!! That the people in high-kill shelters also DO NOT want to put these dogs down. They have to make heart-breaking choices every day. They simply do not have enough resources to save every dog. Please don't shame these places for putting down dogs, if anything they need our support so fewer dogs are needlessly put down.
The killing needs to stop. What about foster programs, there has got to be a better solution. I mean there is to many people on the planet suckibg all the resources out of it, thankfully, thry haven't started kill shelter for humans
Thank you for acknowledging this! I think of the heart wrenching experiences it must be for these human beings to have to do and personally would not have the strength to face it. These warriors show up to take care of the animals every day to do their best to get them adopted and love them while they’re in their care. Much Love for these care givers ❤️
It’s truly a very difficult situation and decision pets are sup to be a commitment for life !!
Our community has many rescues and our shelters spay and neuter every pet before they are available for adoption! It is the best solution for keeping the kennels from needing to euthanize any pets! We also have local immunization clinics at CVS several times each year! We need to be able to get tax credit for our pets because we all know how expensive everything is today! We don't spend money on lavish items and our pets are our babies! We feel honored to have them with us and the love they have for each other is special! They nuzzle each other and lick each other's faces. We are down to three and will not be adopting because we're too old, but we hope we can live with them through their lives! We can't even imagine our lives without pets!

For most of my adult life,(started in my early twenties) I have done rescues, dogs, cats, birds, tortoises, anything people would bring to me or a shelter would let me take them. I carried bolt cutters in my car for some rescues. I'm 75 and I cry every time I see one of these videos. Your in my heart...and my will.

Lee, I was thinking yesterday about how far you’ve come. Just a few years ago a big, crazy guy in an old RV was traveling the country trying to highlight the need to adopt shelter dogs. Back then I would never have believed that you’d be able to create an animal sanctuary of the size and complexity that it is today, and it’s still growing! You did it through sheer force of personality, drive and using every form of media and communication under the sun. You let the world see both your vulnerability and kindness as well as your passion for animals. Damn man, you pulled it off so take a freakin’ bow! 👏👏👏

This man seems to have an amazing heart and such a pure soul. I've heard him say he's not very smart but emotional intelligence is a real thing and for him to connect with so many dogs so quickly shows me that he can see what these animals are feeling and he responds to them with compassion in every action. Even when he has to correct their behavior he shows them love and teaches them how to be happy and relaxed by creating a safe environment and providing the leadership they need.

Happy tears? Yes and no. Happy tears that these dogs are rescued now. But I am always crying, when I see those videos. Every dog needs a home and a family for it's own. I cannot understand the owners, who are responsible. (Please excuse my english, I am german)
This is how I got my baby! No death sentence for unwanted litters. I am telling you, no such thing as unwanted. So many of us out here to adopt. You just need to reach out further and blanket them. The homes are waiting! I found my baby a thousand miles away from me. Amazing little souls. Every single one.

People should not have Malinois without researching!!! Thank you to Lee for taking these high energy, potentially destructive pups. These dogs need a job, mental and physical stimulation and a firm leader. They are not usually content to be couch potatoes or just settle for one or two walks a day. They so easily become board and will destroy things due to boredom. And they definitely don't do well in a shelter environment.
Exactly 💯. We have a female that was dumped running my area. She's so dangerously skinny but no one can catch her. I keep dog food in my truck but it's been a few days since I've seen her. I hope She's OK 👍 these dogs need jobs, they aren't couch dogs

They are all so cute! I’m so glad you were able to rescue some of the cutest dogs ever. I love the references to sweet PomPoms whenever you find a cute ball of fluff like her. I remember crying when Lee warned us that her time was near. What’s amazing is PomPoms was a super senior (like 16) when you got her, and she still had years of love and fun with Lee. (I know Lee recently made a video about rescuing older dogs and how much love and puppy energy that they still have to express. PomPoms was a perfect example) Thanks to all who made this latest rescue possible!

I started to cry instantly when the Mamma pit was jumping, giving kisses and wagging her tail and Lee said they were going to put her down...she is so, so sweet and she has babies I can't imagine how sad it would be without her now. That tan pitty Mom is a keeper,sweet,loyal trusting of humans with her babies is a great sign,and her two grey babies are going to be beautiful dogs! Her other babies also showed signs of her temperament when they were removed and held... I have three pitbull rescues and I would pick the Mom over all of those dogs...I loved the grey ones but they will have no trouble getting homes....but that Mom is a winner,trust me! I just rewatched the video and I heard " we'll keep her". Great news,I bet she makes friends easily with the pack

My wife and I would take the blind puppy if we were younger! She needs to be carried around in a baby wrap to feel safe and loved! We have a local rescue that helps blind animals! Our diabetic dog went blind for his last 5 years and loved to be carried and snuggled and he memorized everything and his younger buddies would go outside with him to make sure he was safe from the predators!

I live in Europe and we have no kill shelters i was shocked to see the situation in other countries 😢
@@karins.902 We have no kill shelter also! They have a spay/neuter program and all animals either stray or turned in pets are treated for any health issues! Strays are put up for adoption if not claimed at 7 days and they are neutered or spayed! We have rescues that also take strays from the shelters and they too get calls for pets to be picked up! We have too many animal mills that are not monitored by our government! The rescue groups get to know where the animals need help! They offer the mostly Amish (in our area) animal mills food and rescue all the unwanted, worn out dogs, cats, birds and rabbits! Those poor animals are in horrible conditions and they are known to shoot the sick or non productive breeders! We have an unwanted male rejected because he was not breeding with the females! They told us he never left a small, cold not weather protected makeshift pen! He is a wonderful boy! He's quiet and gets along with our other dogs and loves having a home and a big fenced in yard! He has never had an accident in the house and enjoys walking around inside and he has a comfy bed in each room! It was amazing watching him transform from a shy dog, skinny, poor coat and hairless tail into a confident, happy dog with a thick beautiful coast and big bushy tail that never stops wagging!

The tiny terrior looking pup in the pink sweater looks alot like my first dog Bug. She lived to 19 1/2 years old. She was the wise Yoda of our pack & taught all of our other dogs what the pack rules were, and helped teach them how to pee & poop outside. She was the K9 benevolent matriarch at under 12# to even our big rescue rotties, goldens, and big mutts (🎶and i cannot lie🎵). Miss you Bug. Miss them all.

I can't believe that a shelter would put down moms with puppies! But they all seem so happy to be out of the kennels and in the grass out in the sun and fresh air. This made me happier than I've been in a long time!! Thank you, Lee, for saving them!
