  • Just before Christmas 1999, I took a greyhound from Washington to Montana. Unknowingly, my mom had hid a dozen 1st edition fossil packs in my backpack. After we left I found them and opened them on the bus. I pulled a holo Zapdos, Lapras, and Hitmonlee. Best shit ever. lol.

    • "All 1st edition Zapdos holos have a misprint at the top left corner of the artwork which was accidentally designed with a nonholo section where an evolution box would have been for an evolving Pokémon. This misprint was also mass produced for unlimited print and mass produced as a corrected unlimited print." -Google

    • People save em dude. People went near and far to get first edition boxes when the reality of the pokemon craze was understood and saved them as investments.

  • I was born in 1991 and just after these came out I was so into Pokémon. I remember getting a set like this for my birthday when they were brand new and I had a bunch of hollow. I’m pretty sure I had the hollow Zapdos, aerodactyl, ditto, and more. And every time I would get a duplicate card, I would be pissed. I would give everything I own to have saved those cards and kept them in good condition because I literally have no idea where any of them went. But on the plus side, I still have two huge, binders full of baseball, football common basketball cards that are worth nothing except for a few that I have that are my favorite players, although those are only nostalgic to me and Still worthless.

  • My first ever booster pack that I opened as a young trainer was a fossil and I will never forget pulling a Kabutops holo 11:40, the first in my school. Quick question about ditto 1st gen. Since he mimics the opponents active pokemon, if I had a PSA 10 Gen1 ditto and because of his ability to mimic, could I sell it off as a PSA10 ditto'd 1st Gen Charizard?

  • I have Graded Russian Charizards, and Entei, Venusaur etc... They are no longer made in Russia because of them attacking Ukraine, and never will be made in Russian language again! What do you think they might be worth. The ones I have are either 1 in existence, or 2 in Charizards case!
