Hi,could you please help me with one issue with the Tank 2.I have no means to use the double lights at the back. No controlls for it.Where can I download an app for it, or how is it possible to use them.I wrote to the factory service department but they are absolutelly useless and not willing to help out with this or any other question...
It should be set to turn on via one of the side buttons by default (a press and hold from memory) and you can access the lights further in the toolbox app
No Snapdragon Chipset, no 5G support but the only 3 things that are cool about this 8849 Tank phone is the battery life, projector & the physical programmable keys.
The dimensity 9200 curb stomps the snapdragon 8 gen 2 for power efficiency The snapdragon 8 gen 2 offers marginally better performance than the dimensity 9200, but it uses almost double the power to do it
'only' as if phones are coming with projectors and snapdragon is overrated af now with other chip makers making gains on them recently
completely different purpose, that phone is built for out doors and emergency, that thing has night vision with 4 infrared, 2 massive camping lights, and a full laser projector, this thing wasnt built for performance, its built to last
@@SWY1356 why not have the option for a high performance version? Yes it'll be more expensive, but people like myself (and there are a LOT of us) want a high performance phone with a high capacity battery and durable construction, yet literally NOBODY makes such a device, companies like Ulefone and Doogee do make high performance devices, but they're all Samsung clones that have to be charged multiple times a day, and will shatter into a million pieces if you drop it
5g for the vaccinated sheep with there klot shots it's part in part of the parcel. 3g 4g good enough this phone real survival phone

Given that this weighs over a pound, any chance they included a slot on the corner for a wrist strap? I've looked at a bunch of pics and I'm thinking no, but figured I'd ask

How loud is the speaker? Louder than 109db? How hot does it get when the projector is running for a long period of time?
I can't speak to the DB's of it but I run the projector in bed every night to watch a movie on my ceiling and I have never noticed it being hot when I shut it down for bed.

@@yeroyeloroyal7024 yes!! 😊 They did recently release an update that fixed all my issues. It works great now

Update: They released a patch that fixed all of these things. Been my daily driver ever since. So I got one of these. LOVE IT. BUUUUUUUUUUT.... there are some real problems. The Quickstep app constantly locks up which more or less locks up your UI and launcher. So you cannot navigate around the phone. The projector is fantastic BUT.... it does not auto rotate to landscape out of the projector. Meaning you have to go get a screen orientation app to use it AND.. for some stupid reason you cannot turn off the main phone display while projector is on. For me the quickstep problem is a deal breaker. It makes the phone almost useless and there is no info on how to fix it on the web that I can find. The rest of it is just silly stuff but ya.. the quickstep issues....

i use nova launcher on all my unihertz devices, works like a charm
Screen off when projector in use and rotation is a must, my galaxy beam 1 and 2 and also my blackview Max 1 had that.. super important for what I want to do.. hope they can sort this.. waiting on delivery🙏
@@Lectrosoul They did fix it. Screen off works well. Still no auto rotate though just auto landscape.

I still think that 15500mAh is still a massive amount, so it's still very much a tank phone. The new features like the second camp light and projector do take up a lot of space though!

it probably is good enough for that, gaming performance hasn't been an issue so far, but just note that it isn't the fastest phone in the world

@@DavisFangTech I'd pay $2000+ for one of those with a snapdragon 8 gen 2 or dimensity 9200, an AMOLED display, and a camera with OIS and 4K 60FPS recording The issue is there is literally no such thing as a rugged big battery phone with high end specs AND features like night vision cameras thermal cameras, projectors.etc It just doesn't exist, why won't any of these huge companies make one and then take all my Australian pesos (also an Aussie) Such a device would literally be a flagship killer, companies like Samsung would literally have a fire lit under their asses if one of these Chinese companies made a phone that is objectively better in every way Bonus points if it's easily repairable like the Ulefone power armor 13

I’ve only tested it with Optus, but you can check to see if the bands match up with Telstra’s better

I bought Tank 2 last October 2024 and it malfunction after 6 months. It stuck on 8849 logo and would not open any apps.

Doogee V MAX still has a faster CPU and a bigger battery If they put a dimensity 9000 in the tank 2 and gave it an AMOLED display it would be almost perfect The Helio G99 is ancient these days, budget chip, maybe low mid range at best Why can't any of these companies put a high end CPU in these rugged big battery phones none of them have premium features like OIS, slow motion recording, 4K 60FPS recording, AMOLED displays, high end SOC's.etc I'd pay top dollar for one of these if it had top of the line hardware as well as features like night vision cameras, thermal cameras, projectors.etc Someone make such a phone and take my money!!!

@@SWY1356 it would, but I'd rather have a brick of a phone than have to charge it 3-4 times in any given 24h period My Doogee V MAX lasts literally 2 days before I have to charge it, whereas with the S22 I had before it, I had to charge that POS 5 times a day

It’s just a mismatch in the frame rates (I was filming in PAL but I didn’t realise that it was set to NTSC until too late). I have a far better sample in my latest short. It looks quite good in real life

You know there is a problem with this phone since Im watching the third video and none of them show the projector on. Not once. This phone is about the projector. Where is the video about it? 17 minutes of nothing.
