    • True, very true, only the reality, as we all know is, that won't actually make any difference if this goes to war, people have no interest in separating people into groups of those supporting it, from those against it. In wartime, that doesn't matter, is the truth, and although that is wrong, if you are one of them, you'll be treated and brutalised just like the rest of them.

    • I think it actually comes from a more somber place. From fear, from generational trauma, from antisemitic behavior she witnessed and or endured here. Problem is, that's got nothing to do with what's happening here. The students are protesting against a genocide being committed by a settler colonialist state against the natives of that land. That has to sink in for her, otherwise she will continue to live in fear and in denial of what's happening now. It's nothing against her personally, and absolutely not against her religion. This is protesting the actions of a foreign government that our government has been aiding and abetting. If they're stopped, no harm should come to her or any Jew living here in America or in Israel. Psssssst and if they're not, she's still safe too, and so is everyone in Israel. This only spares the lives of the Palastinians who are not Hamas, and never were.

  • I was just dumped by my jewish friend that i felt i had a spiritual connection to for 20 years. All i said was i think it is horrific for both sides and i wasnt going to take a side.     • Outside of their home country, they have to be. Once they feel secure enough in Israel, that all goes out the window. Emphasizing education was their survival tactic for thousands of years. They can't physically fight off any people they come across, because other nations are bigger and stronger. So they have perfected getting into positions of power to keep safe. That's not to say they're all like that- plenty of nativized Jews who live normal lives, but a good chunk are wealthier than the average person in any county they inhabit, and it isn't by coincidence.
