I never understood why people love so much the sun(literally a quiet boring yellow ball) and "hate" when it rains. Rain actually may be a good ally: less silence, it's with you. Good smell, good sensation of fresh, predators doesn't hunt with rain, cloudy(so your eyes can see better than direct sunlight) and a beautiful landscape if there's lighting.
Not trying to be an a*shole, but, uh, the Sun is everything but a quiet boring yellow ball. It's a massive frickin white plasma-compressed-nuclear fusion star. If it wasn't for the Sun, life on Earth would never be possible. Liking it or not, the Sun is essential for us to live. But damn, I wish it wasn't so flippin hot. Humanity are already heating up the planet.
Along the same lines as haylice, not being an asshole but rain doesn't stop most predators :/ In fact it's easier because the rain creates more sound. Also the sun is the giver of all life, without it none of us would survive.
No place on the internet attracts more kindness than the comment section of a sleep ambience video.

I've been struggling with really bad depression after sustaining a head injury while training in the army last year and after being in self isolation for 34 days now, I've been in a really bad place. For some reason, these ambient sounds make sitting alone in the dark way more tolerable. I hope everyone's keeping sane these days and staying safe. I've had a head injury followed by a depression too, you're not alone in your loneliness, peace..
I'm in the beginning stages of treatment for this very thing (MDD/PTSD due to head trauma). Sitting in a dark shower, listening to ambient sounds is the only thing that soothes me. I wouldn't have believed myself two weeks ago, but it does get better. ❤️ receiving ketamine infusions and they changed my life.

I'm lying next to my 18 year old cat, I suspect he will pass any day now. He's lost most of his hearing and sleeps a lot but still lives to eat! Lol. The Buddhists believe animals go on to become human. I'd like to believe that is true. I think my cat will become a decent, kind hearted and very loving human as I believe your dog will, too. I know for a fact you are lying down and listening to this, so let me tell you a story, shall I?...... There was once a forest, nice and fresh, wooden crispy bark trees were surrounding the environment, with its crispy leaves. Then, one fateful day, a storm started brewing. Everyone did not realise it til it started. And it didn’t stop. For 10 hours. You are now experiencing this event of nature. A truthful and calming sound. The sky grew darker until you could barely see, the fog was also covering it, making it just barely darker. For 10 hours this peaceful water ceremony went on, til all the creatures of the night settled in, and drifted to sleep. Alongside the people, pets and everything. Everybody is calm at night. Let us enjoy this sound and drift of to the wild imagination wholistic this cold ambience soothes our soul into a deep state of a hypnotic trance; relaxation. -(leave like if you enjoyed!)-

I live in the sunniest city on earth, Yuma Arizona. It rains maybe 3 or 4 days a year and is sunny literally 95% of the time. Clouds are rare here and rain almost nonexistent; I live for sounds like these ❤

Sorry for your loss. My mom used to say Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bugs bite, and if they bite, squeeze them tight, and they won't bite tomorrow night. I think she didn't specify bed bugs b/c we were living in Ghana at the time, so mosquitoes were the most likely culprits.

This is by far our favorite ocean sounds video. We are in our 70s and when we play this both of us notice how much calmer we feel. One of us is disabled and we don't get out in nature as much as we used to. This brings some of the benefits of the beach into our home🤗🌊

Fun fact - some of us really enjoy the sound of storms because of our inherited instincts from our ancestors from the stone age. Some humans with this trait would use storms to their advantage to hunt when prey would hide in shelters, it would also be a sign of free drinking water. People with this trait are called 'thundelphanates'.
