Not always about buying refurbished. Many are concerned about scams when buying used or neglected devices. Sellers have been known to lie. I know buying the latest phone used makes me wonder if it was paid off before selling.

@@willl.3353 yes thats the biggest concern, im lucky that in the state that i live in (kerala), there has been an increase in demand for refurbished phones (especially older flagships) the sellers have built a good reputation, their marketing is done through instagram and theyve built a good community around it , they let you know if theres any issues or replacements etc upfront, but due to the increase in demand, the phones aren't as cheap as once they were but you're still getting a really good deal and they're just as trust worthy as brands because of how big they've grown and the community they've built
Im using the flip 5 however i still have my s20+ 12gb ram version and it still feel as smooth as it did when i got it 4 years ago and after replacing the battery it can last me all day, people are really missing out on old flagships, oh and also storage expansion 🎉
I think budget phones offer more than most people need, let alone mid range and flagship 😂

Once again Matt, great job. There is a market for the "poor man" videos. We can't all afford Ultra and Pro Max. However, we do have the same value for $$$ concerns and "what am I getting for my money" questions.
As for the displays, can you compare the A55 adjusted with the update that makes the gamma more vivid in display settings? If it is like the s24, it defaults to a more washed-out look.

I just did Geekbench on my iPhone 11. It has higher scores than the S22 (1799 & 4015) and is three years older. Surprising!
Used flagship tip: you can save a decent amount of money ($30-$70 sometimes) if the phone you choose has even the slightest bits of of cracks on the screen compared other stuff which can be hidden with a case. I know it might not be ideal for some people to get a used flagship with cracks on the screen, but it really becomes irrelevant if you have another device or two where the screen is in pristine condition.

More comparable to the s22 ultra or s23 price wise, those phones around between $400-$450 and so is the a55 but I could see that for people who don't want a boxy phone and don't want the smaller size than s22+ is the cloest otherwise the s22 ultra or s23 is a better choice.

what help u need? a flagship it's a flagship and will never be beaten by a midrange phone, they are not dumb to put high components for low price, get the s22 and if battery it's not as good u can just replace it but do it with original, i just replace it on my Zenfone 9 , no big issue, better spend 50 or 60e on a new battery than spend 7 or 800e on a new phone

in my country the S22+ is around $530, that is around $110 more than the A55. A no brainer for me to get the A55
