How To Curve The Ball In Pool With Massé Expert Florian 'Venom' Kohler

2024 ж. 17 Мам.
308 997 Рет қаралды

We asked multiple time world champion Florian 'Venom' Kohler to show us exactly how he gets so much curve on a cue ball. Besides the years and years of practice, there are a couple of really important things to remember when attempting a masse shot. Also, if you're at a pool hall or someone else's house, it's usually a good move to make sure you're allowed to practice the masse.

  • Florian - As a part 2 to this, can you show how and where to hit for long range masse's. Ie... say the cue ball is at one end of the table and you have to go around a ball that's 3-4 diamonds away and have the cue then swerve after passing that ball to hit the object ball you desire. I have done a number of these in the past but inevitably they were more luck.... or rather the result of understanding the concept but where my execution was guesswork. Thanks as always for your great instruction!

  • Thumbs up!! Aiming is defined, yet not explained well. Massé shots are used & needed when the cue ball is away from the rail; leading to inquiries about Massé shots from all areas of the table. Is it a break/jump stick which is being used? Grip is one thing noted. Do arm &/or wrist movement differ from (for example) draw or power shots? Practice remains key to all sports! A video on practice drills may help a players knowledge of progression.

    • Anything is possible when one watches the entire video to fully comprehend and appreciate the skill being taught. But that takes patience and requires one to be able to focus….yet most like you find this challenging and can be found lowering the IQ of comments sections with questions which one wants about as much as the scum which collects at the corner of the mouth.
