This guy's driving skills are sublime. I am from Canada but I got scared at least 5 solid times during this video. Which I watched 2 full times.... Thank you!
Canadians are used to shit their underwear a lot after the plandemic scare 😀😀😀
Conditions so bad 20MPH is scary Second thought change to KPH
I sometimes wish I had a second camera showing the cleared street behind him. Great work!
With so few guideposts, it's difficult to imagine keeping the edge of the roadway guiding you along. Great skill and patience!
all this global warming is hell
Your driving is so precise that at first I thought it was a train. Great driving, Mr. Snowplow!
Thank you!👍
Me too!
Awesome job plowing those mountain roads. That takes skill operating your equipment at that speed and some nerves of steel. 👍🤩🇦🇹🇺🇸
He makes it look easy, but it does take some nerves. I too plow snow, about 2 miles on single lane roads on a hillside, not as steep as this, but close and if I got the wheels off of the pavement, well I wouldn't be here talking about it.
I do not live there, but I am sure the residents there THANK YOU for the work you do! You are much appreciated!❤
I find you’re videos so beautiful and relaxing. A big thank you and here’s to many more! I would absolutely love to tour through here !❤
So glad to see you back! Thank you!!!
This driver has a lot of skill to be able to clear that road with that much snow. Great job!
I cannot imagine living on the side of a mountain like that and having to drive on these roads.
You go off the road their and it’s goodbye!
I'd tell you more: I'd -Iive- there. Off-course, you'd have the balls for that, otherwise it ain't make sense ))
The correct equipment is the key. I live in Switzerland and in the Alps, it looks just like in this video. With good Snow tires, it‘s no problem to drive on such roads. As long as there is dry snow, you have good grip. Wet, slushy snow is really slippery, you have to drive accordingly. Also, ice can be dangerous. But then there are still snow chains and spiked tires.
You’d sure want to know the where abouts of that snow plow was working before starting out 😮 lol
You definitely need a 4wd. I was stupid enough to try to drive such a road in winter with my rwd BMW to reach the starting point of a hiking trail. I learned something that day😬
This was so very relaxing to watch! Snow makes me happy and I'd love to be there plowing that snow!
Driving past Mount Shasta a few years ago, I wondered about the road reflectors that were 8 and 10 foot tall. I then realized it was August and they get a LOT of snow come winter.
You back!! So good!!
Very addictive watching!😂 Let it snow. Wishing all a good skiing season.
I started watching your videos last year and they are great! It’s so relaxing to lie on the sofa after getting home from get off work and watch the beautiful snow scenery and the healing process of shoveling snow! ! But could the snow shoveling video be longer? 😆😆Thank you
Thank you! The next video will be half an hour. Greetings!
So satisfying, thank you!
Loving the scenery ...a breath of fresh air .. thanks for the tour ..👌
I could watch this all day. Baffling how people live on the sides of the Alps. The skills here are insane!
Endlich wieder Saison! Ich freue mich schon auf die Nachtvideos bei Schneefall 😃
Damn, why are these my favourite videos? They are so satisfying to watch!
Thank you! Greetings from Austria
That was very cool! Thank you for sharing!
What a GREAT VIDEO 👍👍. Thank You. Beautiful scenery.
Thank you! Greetings👍
Such a beautiful place! Thanks for sharing.
To me this is so peaceful and beautiful. Id love this job
I'm not sure if you still liked the job, when getting a phone call in the middle of the night and you have to get out of your warm bed to immediately clear the roads at minus 10° C because of heavy snow falls.
Mesmerising to watch. Awesome stuff.
This is truly a wonderland❤
Your back!!!!!yes!!!
can you show what these roads look like in the Summertime?
Awesome 👏 🤩
Very beautiful. Also, I wish I had those flags on the ends of the plow when I used to do this for a living.
In Canada we have wider roads and I have done snow removal but man these roads are narrow more like trails. Gusty drivers. Impressed.
I'm a little surprised you aren't using a snowblower but, then again, the wind rows make good bumpers to keep the cars on the road. Nice equipment!
That’s exactly right!👍 Kind regards!
Excellent driving skills! They should really give you some more guideposts out there. I supposed you don't need them. The people that live up there are counting on you! What a fun job. Great video!!
Thanl you!👍
What a winter wonderland!!!!
The first time I went to the Rocky Mountain National Park I saw the snow markers and I was amazed at how tall the were. I have been on roads in Colorado that remind me of these. Of course the mountains aren’t quite as high but close. One time my son who was probably 10 at the time said while we were driving in the mountains “we are above the clouds” and we were! 😄
I'm curious if you use trucks to plow with also, I'm from Michigan in the United States and that's primarily what we use. Thank you for the videos
on wide streets, yes greetings👍
so satisfying
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Country, EXCELLENT work and SUPERB Video. Thanks for sharing. You've got yourself a new sub. Best wishes and Safety.
Thank you! Greetings from Tyrol
Great job, I was on the edge of my seat watching this.
Wow fantastic. I wish he had a camera at the back as well
Love it !!!
Очень красивые места. Очистка дороги с такими склонами опасна .
Thanks for sharing, what a fantastic place to live!
I can’t imagine how you get past a vehicle coming toward you on roads like this. Even without snow the road is not wide enough….i don’t know what kind of vehicle is being used but something like that would be my go to if I lived there…seems it’s very confidence inspiring and it seems impossible to get it stuck.
Wow, lots of skill with that operator! Found myself braking with my feet watching this! LoL 😂
Thank you! Greetings! 👍
Greetings from Canada! I was born in Graz many years ago. What part of Austria was that?
Spectacular country. I have visited there. Great job and very efficient.
Thank you! Where did you stay?
@@mr.snowplow3855 I was on a river cruise along the Danube. Visited all over in Austria. Love the area. Christmas markets. I then took a hike from Budapest to Bertechegaden??..lots of hiking. The whole area is beautiful.
That is some seriously deep snow and winter hasn’t even begun yet.
You need to come to Japan, then you will know what seriously deep snow is. Some parts here get 10+metres of snow fall per winter with snow walls 3-5 metres high, completely burying houses. The entrances are on the second floor as the first floor is totally buried in snow.
A hero at work ❄️
I love it and I think it’s really great. What kind of rig is that. I would love to do this and I think it’s really cool.
Well that’s a nice amount of snowfall for plowing , sweet ! Time to get back into the rhythm of it. Edit THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR FUN 😅
Finally your videos are back up another season of snow ❄️ your videos help me sleep at night 😅. Keep up the good work be safe driving on the mountain 🏔️. I was wondering living in the mountains are there sightings of the Yeti or Bigfoot 😂.
Thank you👌 I see tourists the most🤣
Stunning
Absolutely beautiful!!✌🐢
Do you run standard agriculture tires or special snow tires?
standard👍
Seriously precise plowing on narrow roads in steep terrain with big-time exposure. Na ja, ganz prima. Danke!
As a person who grew up in the Pinzgau, I can tell you, this is normal.
That road looks very scenic. I would love to see it without the snow in summertime, too.
Great video! What happens if you have a breakdown? Is help nearby? 🔧🔧🔧
We do a lot of repairs ourselves and we also have replacement vehicles.
Been waiting for a chap climbing towards him in an Opel Vectra
Wow, he was staying on course so well I thought it was a train!😂
wow, just wow
Love to do that. Did it with a snowcat a ways back big 98/99 dump winter SW BC
Best 10 minutes Ive seen on youtube. I was amazed.
Thank you👍
How do you make more room for snow on the shoulders of the road?
I push it further and further out with the plow. We very rarely have so much snow so it's not a problem.
I can see the guardrail and cables in some spots, but in others, I don't see anything to keep you from going over the edge. Is there at least a curb or something that you are bumping up against that you can feel even if you don't see it, that let's you know where the edge is? How do you keep from going over the edge? In some spots, it looks like sure death just waiting to grab the front of your tractor and pull you over. Also, you get really close to some of those homes. Ever pushed enough snow over the edge that it damaged the structure? Some of those look like if you plowed fast enough, you could shove the whole house off its foundation and send it tumbling down the mountain.
We clear the snow in many places based on calculations and the knowledge of how the road looks without snow! My wife is often worried and I can understand that too. Greetings from Tyrol!👍
Very cool. I’m curious, what type of occupation the people from the Alps hold.. ?
It's all there! From nursing to ski instructors or taxi drivers! Of course, we do a lot of farming here. Greetings
Houses are so close to the road. In BC, Canada, they use massive snow blowers and the graders which push snow go so fast that the snow flies so hard into the ditch that it often takes out traffic signage. The Coquihalla Pass is a very active highway with heavy equipment required to clear it daily in winter.
You can´t compare Canada with Austria... Canada is shy under 10 million km² big with 37 million inhabitans, Austria has 86000km² and 9 million people. In Europe the population density is very high compared to US and CDN!
@@MrFlextor. Now try 40 million as of July 2023.
@@tomrogers9467 That´s 4 people on one square kilometer, you think this is getting significant higher even with 100mil people in CDN? Not even close!
@@MrFlextor I’m not arguing density here. But if you’re going to quote numbers get your facts correct first.
@@tomrogers9467 Sorry that I offended you that much with the population count from the zensus of 2021 which states 37mil for Canada... Didn´t know, that the population exploded that much in the PRC during the last 24 month 😋🤡
Whoa! That is amazing! I'm on the southwestern tip of Nova Scotia and our snowfalls are usually mild although the northeastern part of the province just got hit hard. Watching this gave me the heebejebeees for sure! So beautiful though. Don't folks that live at that height worry about avalanches?
The avalanches are often small and usually only occur where there are no houses.
@@mr.snowplow3855 Good!
Hallo! Die Aufnahmen sind vom letzten Winter! lg
Fascinating but I am not sure from this angle where the snow is going? It doesn't appear to be tumbling off to the left down the mountainside. What am I missing?
The snow is falling down the slope. The road is only 3 meters wide in some places.
Lots of fun right here .
the real hero’s in our society right here
How do you know where the road is beneath the snow? It’s between two Austrian flags.
With a bit of luck I can always find the road. Our flag is a little different!
I’d love to know more about that machine! Great skillful driving Mr. snowplow!
Thank you! This is a New Holland T6.180 with a continuously variable transmission and 225 hp. Greetings
@@mr.snowplow3855 TY! It's a smooth, powerful machine. Thanks for sharing! Greetings from Central New England!
I live in New England, USA, and I really enjoy your videos! Is your vehicle a tractor with a plow or an actual truck? Can you post a picture? Thank you, just wondering about that! Be safe out there.
Thank you! This is a New Holland tractor.👌👌
Do you ever get high winds? With that much snow I can see lots of drifting
It is very rare that we have drifts
@@mr.snowplow3855 lucky you! Where I live almost every major snowstorm is followed by a northern wind that leaves us with huge drifts
quite amazing work
Beautiful road, I wish I lived somewhere like this. Better yet, I wish I had this job.
I was a snowplow driver in a lot of hilly roads , but dont think I would do this , good job
People that live there are very fortunate to live there even if it consists of some isolation
It will be cool to see sometimes the view from behind. May be from camera number 2 or something like that:) Hope you will do it😊
Very nice job. How wide is the road? How wide is your plow?
Thank you! The road is only 3 meters wide in some places just like the plow.
OH, MY, GREAT VIDEO THANK U, SHARE SHARE
post-storm or a normal winter plow. incredable TY
Tyrolean Power ! The snow is being shoveled away like the French were by the heroic Tyroleans under Andreas Hofer !
👍👍👍
Nice walking path.
Yikes! What do you do if you meet someone coming the other way? Or is it just one-way downhill?
Someone has to clear the way.😁
34 years ago i first went sking here and always looked at this as the only fun job i could have every done ,i have driven trators trucks semis jcb 360 excovators bulldozers and yet at 50 years old now i still want to do this as the only job that looks like i would want to do
This is really cool! But I have a question : Are you paid to do this, do you have a snow removal business, or are you just a really nice neighbor?
I have a contract business. We harvest grassland in the summer and winter maintenance in the winter. 👍
@@mr.snowplow3855 What a great job and way of life. Cheers from Northern California!
An occasional rear-view cam would be interesting.
Very well done!
you don't have those snow sticks that shows where the road is, in Austria?` Nvm, found some. There are surprisingly spare and few of them though
unfortunately true!😔
You're so confident on that skinny little road! Very scary to me. I live in the south in America.
The street is 3 meters wide. Space enough for me😁
Oh my gosh you are a brave soul!@@mr.snowplow3855 I'm amazed
@@mr.snowplow3855don't sneeze
All I can say is WOW!!!! I was scared to death 😮😢 Thank you for sharing I really appreciate plow drivers now!!! Much respect 🙏 👍😀
Thank you!👍
❤❤❤❤❤
How much weight is that plow and how much horse power does it have?
The plow and tractor together weigh 9 tons and 240 hp.
@@mr.snowplow3855 Thank you!
This guy knows his snow!
I'd like to see a screen in screen video with the smaller one showing the difference behind you as you go. Just a suggestion.
This driverknows the road very well, you can hardly see were the road is and there is not much room for any error !
I hope those drivers don't forget how to drive in snow every summer like the ones near me do
