  • Congratulations on this milestone Del. Always a relief and pride involved I’m sure. The first time I fired up a bike that I had done engine work on i literally had tears welling up in my eyes. Haha.

    • I know the feeling buddy, you've put so much in to it, and it only takes one tiny mistake and it can be costly and catastrophic, so it's a relief when it fires right up! Take care and have a great weekend, and thank you for your support as always.

  • Exciting progress! You might be converting me, lol. I'm normally not a big fan of the loud Harley pipe more percussive "crackle pop" sound, as I much prefer the more mellow but deep tone of say, a Japanese/Italian sporting v2 or v4, but ye gods, that loping, galloping horse idle of a Harley is just too cool for words, damn! :D

  • Just before watching your video, and before i forget --Well Done -- I was watching/listening to my fav band "Lord Of The Lost (LOTL)" probably not your cup of tea but they have a new track out, and after your cheeky little grin when your project fired up for the first time, I thought yeah your bikes got "heartbeat of the devil " BRILLIANT, then (sorry about this) I named your project "Black Halo" (Luxurious, polished, and with sophisticated construction) and both LOTL tracks. Lovin' what you are doing, Thank You.

  • Dead chuffed for you Del. Not a single leak and tuned to perfection. My nerves would be in tatters. The regular heartbeat is resumed!! It sounds super mean with the straight through pipe's. Really looking forward to what comes next with the total strip down. Been working on the street bob Friday afternoon & all day saturday. Front forks out to fit black tubes over the upper chrome & fitted an aftermarket fairing & screen what a pain that was! Take care both! 🇸🇪🇬🇧☀️😊👋🏻

  • Great work Del, you must be so pleased with how it's progressing. It's really a pleasure to watch you work. It bought back memories watching you do the dynojet install. I put one in a ironhead sportster in the early '90s and it really woke the bike up. Like you said thunderslides didn't exist then. Anyway on to the frame. I'm so looking forward to you chopping and modifying it. I've got a feeling this is going to be one fantastic bike when it's done, in fact I know it will be :) All the best mate

Now i can turn to the rest of the project, got to strip it right down to the bare frame so at least 4 days to get to that... then i can begin.!! Thanks for your support mate, really appreciate it.

    • Thanks Nick, it was a happy day for sure, motor is amazingly quiet with no untoward sounds... and you're right, Sporty engines have their own sound, different to Big twins, 4 separate gear driven cams makes them quieter with no chains driving them, the even the primary chains are way shorter so less rattle.. overall a more efficient piece of engineering.!

    @michaelmitchell5909@michaelmitchell5909 Жыл бұрын
    • What a wonderful debate, I actually haven't had any experience of Tribodyn, but I hear nothing but good things about TRM, it's a race developed oil and exceeds in all the right places and, of course, read up on Amsoil, specially for Harleys, and I would say it's top drawer... specially in hot climates on those air cooled engines...! But it's all opinion in the end, the only fast rule is that new oil is better than old oil so don't neglect changing it, but I guess you knew that!

      @Moonfleet41@Moonfleet41 Жыл бұрын
    • @@Moonfleet41 thank you for the reply sir. I appreciate your response to my comments. I haven't found a dealer in America for trm oil yet. I use Lucas 20/50 in my road king twin cam now cause tribodyn is around 25 dollars US., and that's a bit to much money at this time man., but I do have the tribodyn 75/140 in the Trans, it eliminates the harsh first gear clunk, and the shifts are butter smooth, but it is also 25$ a quart. If I can find trm I'm gonna try it. Take care man. Can't wait to see the harley all finished
