Excellent timing for a first appraisal of this year's stable horses. Nobody better at quizzing trainers. Curious that Ryan ( M ) wasn't on Brilliant. Put me off a punt 😢. Only thing I would have liked asked. How much will Mayfair improve for the run ( 7 - 10 pounds ?) Big thanks for Aidan's honesty 🙏
Don't quote me, but don't tink Ryan can do the weight 8 Stone 8 pound, lightest saddle is 1pound and then ya have britches and colours and booths also to take in to consideration

Thanks for these two replies. Both Joseph & Johnny Murtagh etc at best for the Top races when close to 9 stone so 8st 11 up fine.
@bkgraham6193 don't no about johnny, he said of all the foods he ate, mc Donald's he put the least amount of weight back on, and he said he was allways shocked by it. Joseph really struggled to do 9 stone, and as he got older it got harder and he got fed up doing it, constantly in hot baths and steam rooms, sipping on water and having 2 spit it out. Then donnacha 2 inches taller than Joseph his life was worse. Then poor Anna she is small and was doing weights no.problem until her bad fall poor girl
I had a vg contact with ex Jockey Champ Eamon Murphy. He told me a fair while ago that his boss Garry Moore had a great chance in a Group Sprint race. He had booked Joseph O 'B for the ride. Eamon " with Joseph riding:: It WILL win . It did 😂

Good to hear City of Troy has wintered well, hopefully he can improve again as a 3 year old and give the flat season a superstar horse to cheer. Henry Longfellow can mop up the French guineas and French derby. Seamie owes Ballydoyle nothing and has been a very loyal service to them, good luck in his next venture.
Shame they are not letting Henry take on City of Troy. A decent opponent to expose the overrated hype horse. Probably why they won't let them clash, I suppose.

I thought Aidan gave Sheamie the boot. According to this interview, Sheamie decided to go freelance. 52 is some age to be riding horses. What day is a good day to call it a day.
I heard he was getting 2 year olds ready for the breeze up sales.
@galdessa1 Are they 2 year olds he owns himself, or is he preparing them for an outside party. He owes nobody anything. He's had a great career. Is he planning on moving across to the horse breeding scene long-term and riding occasionally. At 52 he mightn't want to be riding out everyday and travelling numerous hours in a car to make it to meetings. Will Mc Monigle start getting more rides with Aidan now. He's a good pilot. Jp and Aidans yards know the time of day
There was only one O'Brien and his name was Vincent. Vincent did not have the near endless amount of funds disposable compared to this current crew.

Is City of Troy worth a bet at 4/5 or 0.7 in Exchanges in the 2000 Guineas NO WAY : just look again at Augusta Rodin and it's start price odds. Only a wager is considered in the morning !!

Racing stinks and is a mugs game just look how the bookies chopped the prices of Willie Mullins stable stars and they've now done the same to City of Troy. Punters should avoid betting until shyster bookmakers offer some decent value on horses with proven ablity .

@@bkgraham6193 I put £1,000 on Churchill to win 2000 G with Hills at 2/1 Betfair was going 6/4 So I would lay off my £1,000 with betfair Couldn’t lose BUT Hills max bet was £50 at 2/1 My £950 went on at 6/4 I was in trouble So I just let it run Won £50 on at 2/1 Won £950 on at 13/8 returned 😀
