watching book recommendations, buying books and actually reading books are three entirely separate hobbies
exactly
Totally can relate it!😊
So true
Too accurate 😭
jack is truly our book boyfriend come to life.
No but yes
Aah yesss !! Can not forget about it now ❤
Hopefully not, most of the characters I’ve seen described by other people as "book boyfriends" have killed multiple people before.
@morganmeadowes6861 that's fair. Jack is the boyfriend we all actually want lol
Could not agree more
My routine for watching Jack's videos: 1. Feverishly click on the video thumbnail. 2. Open Goodreads on the second tab. 3. Pausing every 15 seconds to add a new book to my never-ending to-read list.😌
Meeeee!!
It’s becoming a problem. I have like, over 300 books on my tbr at this point and I’m in a severe reading slump and only read about 30 books a year.
@@morganmeadowes6861babe, to some people 30 books a year is a goal. give yourself some grace
@@poorvinandwana honestly! I've read like 10 books last year, and I'm trying to reach atleast 30 this year
sameeeeeeee

Wow, no spoilers. I love it!
I love how Jack's recommendations are so different from literally everyone in the BookTube space. I really appreciate his videos
The amount of great books I’ve read because of Jack is crazy. Thanks for making these videos!
It's been a looong time since I read a bad book ❣ all thanks to this little channel
it's insane that jack can remember every books he reads
Yes! And the number of books he's read is already astounding. Remembering all of them on top of that is incredible.
He most definitely reads these recommendations beforehand, thinks about it, then goes back to give a quick overview
jack this might be the best idea you've had ever, every single rec was absolutely on point, you have to make more of these
It’s a good day when Jack posts
I'm reading Eleanor Oliphant right now and I already miss her. I'm not even halfway through and I'm already so charmed by her weird self. The characters come alive so easily through those pages!
Me too! I finished it a month or so ago and keep thinking about how wonderful a second book would be. I adore her character.
How bizzare, I really didn't like it or her very much. It felt grey.
Hey guys I am here because I am looking for help for an exam which is coming up in a week which is based on a novel that we (the students) do not know. However, my university professor spilled some information on the novel, mainly that the novel or a certain chapter/scene of the novel is said to play in a house/appartment on 89/Lamberton (street), which seems to be a very specific type of information if you ask me. If anyone out there happens to have read a novel which included this address I would be thankful if you could leave a short reply under this comment, stating the title and author of the novel. Thanks a lot in advance and have a nice weekend 😊 and to those who are also in the midst of writing exams: Good luck 👍
every video always makes me so excited to read, he truly has such a contagious passion for books. i love it

this is so fun because I feel like you recommended a ton of books we have never heard you talk about before!
I love Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine❤ Its such a nice book which tells us about the daily life of a person who is so used to loneliness that it is her comfort zone and how she slowly find a acquaintance -turned-friend,slowly start thinking about other people significant to her. Then she slowly think come to terms with how she had been resisting to look past her sad past and how she ultimately come to a level where even when she live alone, she finally has someone to turn for when in need
You sold me so hard on this book, wow.

I created a list on my notes app that just gets longer and longer thanks to Jack and his recommendations. I can't wait to read all of them!
Absolutely love this. You should do these more often.
Jack !!! Please read "The Little Paris Bookshop" by Nina George if you haven't already. It's a book about loving books and more specifically about a bookseller who has the ability to tell what books his customers need, books that will heal their souls. I recommend this book to anyone who's reading this comment, trust me on this; it's life-changing. It will also make you want to live in Paris (lol). This book feels like a warm hug, I've never read a book before that I wanted to re-read over and over again, but this book changed that.
I love this videos! When I don't know what kind of thing I want to read I get so many recs to check I ended up with a lovely read!! Thanks Jack
It’s always the best when you uploads you’re my fav youtuber everrrrr
Paul takes the form of a mortal girl is so good! I read it a while ago and still think about it quite a lot. It’s weird but charming and just cool.

Thanks for curating such an intriguing list - you've just made my summer reading list much more exciting! Can't wait to dive into these captivating reads. 🌞📚
such a good video concept, loved the recs!
Yes Jack, I appreciate the cover of the book on the side of the screen, I can just screen shot it as you’re talking about it to track it later :)
Hey Jack! Wanted to let you know about the Philadelphia Bookstore Map, which was just released! It was a grassroots effort to create a map that shows all the bookstores in Philly--could be a fun video idea whenever you're in the US again!
Desperately been waitingfor this video since your insta story🤩
I’m so greatful for this series and Jack!
Jack, thank you for reading and recommending books of all nations. You are unique and insiteful!
a book for feeling like ur in a studio ghibli movie is also 'the cat who saved books' it was literally so adorable i loved it so much
East of Eden is also a great conversation piece for a job interview. Didn’t get the job in the end, but I had a great conversation with the headhunter about literature

Seven moons of maali almeida will never leave you after you read it..thanks for all these recommendations!

I just finished reading 'Hamnet' and I cannot thank you enough for making me read this masterpiece
I just started reading it today because of Jack's recommendation and I'm enjoying it so far! Thrilled to see what's gonna happen🫣
I really really need a book recommendation to read before entering in adulthood. Btw I love your videos.
best recommendation video you have ever made stunning
more of this kind of content pls! love ur recos!
i love when i get a notif that jack posted right before i eat so i have something to watch while i eat
Such a great premise for a recommendations episode! For me the two books that have recently just completely floored me and engaged me and reignited my relationship to reading are Lamya H's Hijab Butch Blues and Alice Oseman's Loveless. I just felt completely seen by these two books and felt they were really spoke to me as a person. They'd appeal to anyone who wants to read about queer experiences that still aren't well represented in the world of literature - reading these books felt like quenching a deep insatiable thirst I didn't know I had
Not Jack being the Agony Aunt but with book recommendations and excelling at it 🔥
How High We Go in the Dark 1000%! I had to back and skim it again when I got to the end. I had to wait two days before starting a new read because I couldn't get it out of my head.
Jack you're gonna bankrupt me, I love all your recommendations 😫😫
Could you make a video on books to read in your teen years?

would love for you to do a video where you read poetry from all the previous british poet laureates and rank them
Love ur book recommendations ❤
Obscure the absolute devastation but so poetic that you will forgive it - you have single-handedly described Han Kang's entire body of work
'I feel like people will be studying this book [Hamnet] in years to come'. I studied this in my university honours in the year before last. People are already studying it, at least here in Australia.
That’s an amazing video concept. Id like to see more
So many new books to add to the tbr
These are my favorite of the videos you make
As a Polish, thank you so much for mentioning our book ❤️
Another recommendation for the prompt in 13:41 is Mary Jane by Jessica Anya Blau ☺️
NOUGHTS AND CROSSES WAS SOOOO GOOD!

Cracking Ibiza is a good one for summer and even has craft beer...easy read if anyone's interested.

Wow im so thrilled you mentioned Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl! I bought it from my local LGBT bookstore a year or two ago and havent read it yet. I've never heard anyone mention it
If you like to read a book that feels like “aftersun”. I would recommend Three O'Clock in the Morning by Gianrico Carofiglio.

demon copperhead is everything to me.. i can't explain what it was like to read as someone who lives and grew up in appalachia

the vegetarian by han kang is also really horrifying. but so well written and has a lovely poetic cover :')
Make this a series please (maybe monthly???)
Don’t know if this has been suggested but you should do book recommendations based on different songs
**adds them all to my cart** luv u jack
28 is my favorite number! and you are my favorite person! it’s definitely a sign 🙆🏽♀️
I LIVE FOR THIS
Another book with Everything Everywhere All At Once energy is called Interworld by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reeves. It's a YA series about this guy who discovers he can travel between the multiverse. And in this multiverse, there are more science-based worlds and more magic-based ones, and the two sides are at war. So the mc teams up with his alternate selves to fight the big bads orchestrating this war. It doesn't have the mother/daughter-themed emotional depth of EEAAO, but it's great for multiverse shenanigans!
Something similar to YOU by Caroline Kepnes? What I love about it is how you can empathize with the killers motives. And with his love for books.
I bought Paradise Rot literally today Aside from that I'm also rlly interested in female rage right now so I picked Animal
I hope next time you post the names of those who requested it, we wanna feel loved and seen by our Jack Edwards!!! Hihi! 😁🥰❤️❤️
Jack love your choices. I really enjoyed 'The Siberia Job' a white-knuckle ride! The author expertly captures the chaos of post-Soviet Russia with a flair for tension and historical detail. It's a 'can't-put-down' kind of book - fast-paced, exhilarating, and packed with suspense!
