The first part of a video from a photo tour organized by Vasily Yakovlev in September 2022 to the Mangystau Peninsula in Kazakhstan. We visited the Kapansay gorge, whose chalk walls reach a height of up to 70 meters; Mount Sherkala, when viewed from the side, its shape resembles a white Yurt, and from above - an octopus; the Kok-Kala tract is a small gorge with bizarre bright rocks, where multi-colored layers of limestone, clay and ancient sediments are mixed; the Torysh tract is also known as the “Valley of Balls” due to the stone balls located on the surface with a diameter of 10-15 cm to 4 meters; the Airakty valley is a group of picturesque mountains with steep walls and bizarre crevices that seem man-made, but in fact were created by water, wind and time.
