This turned out really beautiful! I have been painting with resin for about eight years now. I also paint with encaustics and dyes on silk.
You asked what else others liked to create I always love working with my hands, creating things is my passion I'm always looking to learn a new craft sewing, woodwork, ceramic, deco podge, candles, I'm not a master at anything just love doing all this artwork and I tend to dig in like a sponge if you know what I mean. ❤
You can create the bubbles using UV resin. You first lay down the uv resin, then blow bubbles through a straw in a cup of water/dishwashing liquid. Then put the bubbles on top of the resin. When the soap pops, the uv resin will be textured.
I'm 100% going to be trying that out. Thank you so much
Can you use the uv resin overtop of the regular resin or wait until it dries before using
@@cathyborror1938 I have used UV resin over the top of cured epoxy resin. I personally wouldn't put uv resin on wet epoxy.
wonderful
An absolutely awesome informative tutorial and a beautiful turnout… thank you for your time …❤
And thank you. You are very kind
Beautiful. Thank you for the suds idea.
Thru the 25 years I’ve done many crafts. My favorite since 2018 is resin. Your videos have taught me so many tips on creating beautiful waves. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Sheri for unselfishly sharing your ideas and talents. I appreciate your patience in tutorial.
I like making candles, soaps, painting figures and pottery.... making tulle wreaths, clay pot people, jewelry, latch hook.... I also make stuff with my cricut too. Plus, I garden in the summer.
I make Star Wars dioramas for my hubby and it's a blast, I also enjoy making driftwood art and driftwood succulent displays.
Ok so they may not have perfect huge clear rocks with sea shells half the size but I have never seen the most perfect beach theme and waves with resin In my life.. this is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you have a fabulous week darling 👍🏾👌🏾💗
Such a beautiful piece!! Great video!
beautiful!
Absolutely stunning thank you so much for sharing!!!!
I love the art and you detailed description.
Lovely 😍 thanks for the tutorial
Great job! I love it
Thank you for sharing valuable tips
Very detailed, thank you.
Beautiful piece! Thanks so much for the tips on making those great waves! Xo❤
Beautiful Sheri… thanks for the thorough tutorial!! Love it!! ♥️♥️🇦🇺
Regarding your comments about the size of the crystal courts versus the shells, apparently you haven't spent much time up and down the Oregon coast. You should come visit. Right tide timing, right time of year, you can find big pieces of crystal etc.; we find shells that are tiny all the way to really big. Nature is so incredibly unpredictable and varied. Beautiful work by the way !!
Love your resin tutorial, they are so detailed and insightful. Thank you ❤
Thank you so much for show casing your beautiful art work. I would love to give this a try for a wall in my dining room a smaller scale. Gorgeous work.
Love the way you share. You are so selfless and wonderful ❤
Great content!!
Thank you!
Beautiful 💙

Great tutorial! I'm a puppet maker who ended up with extra resin and was trying to see what to do with it. Thanks for the ideas I'm excited to try some of these!
Hi Sherri. I thoroughly enjoy your teaching. I enjoy way to many things, resin, broken glass, fluid art, sublimation, rock art and more. Thank you for sharing

Great stuff!! There are good tutorials for the ocean resin. Then there are great. Yours is great!!! Thank you! I am looking forward to making my own resin ocean shore. I have little baby shells and sand. Oh and have resin and colour tints. All I need is to start! Thanks for the great video!!
Woooow that's so awesome. Thank you so much for this excellent video,I been keep watching a few times.
So beautiful. ❤❤❤
Wooow very nice ❤️
Great tutorial. Thank you for explaining each step so well. I've never had much success doing beach scenes, but I think I will try again after watching you. Great idea to use Modpodge like that! Thank you so much for sharing x
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! Furniture makeover, wreaths, and scrapbooks
Thank you!! 😊
I love the bubble technique this is so amazing!
Glad you like it! I think it works really well with the other 3D elements like the rocks in this piece
Love this! I also enjoy abstract acrylic painting and resin jewelry
Me too! if you didn't know already ☺️ I love abstract art because there are no rules
Очень красиво получилось!
Have been enjoying your tutorials since I’m just starting in resin. I do pottery and want to use the resin with my pottery. Have you ever done a stained glass effect on a curved, vertical surface? I was hoping to carve a pottery piece and then add the resin into the carved out spaces but I’m not sure how I could do that. Do you have any ideas?
Hi sheri amazing tips thank you want to start doing sea scapes, thanks for sharing ❤️ xx
Wonderful tutorial, thank you sooo much!! I can’t wait to try this technique! Thank you!! ❤❤
You are so welcome!
I have recently started working with resin and have learned a lot from you. I also do wood burning and quilting
Wow, thanks for showing your process. I liked the rocks that you used, to me it looked like sea foam that washes up the shore. 😊
Great tutorial, thanks for sharing. Beautiful piece Sherie ❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Watching to learn how to do resin art :)
Sheri love it❤❤❤❤
Wow!! Absolutely love this tutorial. Thank you so kindly for sharing. Take care and Happy Easter 🐣
Thank you! You too!
🥳 You NEVER disappoint! 🎉
Phyllis you are always so kind.
Nice sherin... Tq for the tips
Hello, I am new to resin trying something different. I started designing jewelry 3 years ago. I also make hair pieces, bookmarks, rings, I paint, and scrap booking. I worked many years I didn't get a chance to discover my talents back then, I was a aerobic instructor, and worked full time. Aerobics, and cycling were my obsession. I am retired now and have the time to discover new hobbies.
Aerobics and cycling you would be so fit. It's never to late to discover a new passion or hobby. I only started to learn samba dancing 3 years ago.
Thanks for the detailed tutorial. It would also be nice if you could show the finished article from the side so that one can see the 3D effect of the waves😍
I absolutely love your videos! Thank you. Please consider subtitles ❤
Thank you for sharimg
Thanks!
Welcome!
I water colour as well as some resin art and acrylic painting, and trying my hand at alcohol ink. Beautiful piece. I make coasters with the ocean theme as well, but I don’t add the sand and shells , just because I’m lazy😉
I would like to know more about finishing edges and back
I also draw, and fluid art. So beautiful
Love your videos, Sheri. Thank you. I've found on the ModPodge/soap bubble/foam (I tint mine just a bit white), if I let them dry well and then *gently* paint on a super thin coat of UV resin, it stops them from being so prone to popping and allows my art to be more durable, particularly if shipped. As far as what art I'm enjoying, I love resin, just started trying to do some creative tumblers for the arts and crafts shows, but I'm really getting into alcohol ink painting. I love it, though it's proving very challenging. I'm practicing, though! You've definitely inspired me to start a KZhead channel. I'll be getting my first video up next week. Thank you so much, and I look forward to your next tutorial!
Hi. I love your ideas. I've just bought a cup tumbler thing and a heat gun. I can't wait to start doing different things. I work with pottery. I've experimented a little bit with various things. I've made pottery photo frames using resin as a glass cover. I'm looking forward to trying to do some of the pieces you've made, using my own creative ideas to make them a little bit different. I love your work. You're so very talented. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions in the future.
Thank you so much for sharing! You are truly talented and I love all your resin art videos! In the beginning of the video you say you prepped and primed the wood by painting it with acrylic paint. Is there anything else you do to get the board ready? Thank you Sheri! I love learning from you!
Painting, sewing, crafting, UV resin, jewelry making just preparing to start working with resin.
Im going to try and make of one these for my mom for Christmas. I’m nervous because I haven’t done art in years due to depression- though I was very good at it- but never have used resin. Wish me luck…getting a back up gift just in case I really mess lol
Thank you so much. 😊 You r very nice
I’m still learning how resin works and the different techniques all the artists use. I do dotting, stained glass, mosaics and photography. All are expensive hobbies so I’m going into this slowly. I enjoyed your video. Thanks.
I feel like any art hobby is an expensive hobby 😭
I absolutely agree the way you did this board is this going to become a table?
At the moment I just do resin but I would like to try candle making and perhaps try soap as well. Thank you for your videos, I always enjoy them.
You can do it! I feel like candles and soap making go really well together as there are a lot of cross over supplies that you can use for both.
I started with making cards, then on to candles and jewellery but resin has taken over my life, problem is where to store everything , must have a sort out soon , love your videos
I do Dimond art and like working with wood.
This is beautiful! What is the difference in alcohol pigment and normal pigment?
Umbelievable beautiful. Soooooo REAL. Love from Brazil. 👏👏👏🔥🔥🥂🥂🥂🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Hi Sheri. Do you have a tutorial of ocean and waves using a resin mould? If so, could you send me a link? Thanks in advance. LOVE LOVE LOVE your work!
Beautiful 😍 Do you cure the clear before adding the white?
That’s brilliant, I messed up a cheese board today but looking at your video I may be able to save it, thank you
Beautiful!!! Love it! Did you use powder, liquid or paste pigments? What is the best ? Thank you!
Hey Sheri, I think I’ve watched pretty much every one of your resin videos and this has to be my favourite by far. I love it. I was hoping you may know how these JR pigment pastes travel as I’m in the uk but my brother is visiting from Australia in a month or so, so I may ask him to bring me some with him … do you think they would ok in the hold, or in hand luggage. If you had to pick 4/5 of the luster pastes to have a wide variety of colours what would be your choices be? 😊Thanks for a great video
This is beautifull. Whot do you use For yours wawes? Just tianium resin? Thanks
Thx for info , I’m not sure what white you use , titanium white paste or acrylic paint ?
New to your channel so beautiful
Magical hands
Hi Sheri, I watched many of your video’s. Thank you for sharing. I was wondering if you pour your ocean and let it dry fully, sand it with 80 grit sand paper. Can you put a clear top coat and do the waves over that clear top coat without putting a clear resin barrier and put the white on your top coat. Then blow them out. I hope this makes sense.
There is a beach in California called glass beach ❤️❤️❤️ because of all the beautiful glass stones on the beach
Круто 👍
Cok guzel olmus bir sey sormak istiyorum. Beyaz pigment koydugumuz recinenin icine alkol veya silikon yagi koyuyormusunuz
Its just on another level vedio so beautiful and informative Would you be so kind to assist in third wave after pouring resin and create waves you have tilt the board so that lacing come down little bit so in rhis step immediately i have to tilt board after creating lacing wave or should I wait for sometime??
Beautiful! New subscriber here. How do you finish off the sides?
I would love to know what settings you have your heat gun on
what paint did u use to start with and after every layer did u wait till it dryed? cause it looked like u did u blue resion after each other
Hi! Great tutorial! … I’ve been making ocean waves for a while now, I don’t have an exact science, so sometimes I get amazing lacing, sometimes it blends in…. I usually do clear and the white when it is thick-ish.. when they first form they look amazing, but then they fade.. any ideas why this might be? I’m thinking of maybe pouring the waves completely separate to the colour, Any ideas?
I was hoping you may be able to help. Why is it that my white is always translucent after I mix it in? I use ArtResin and I have both their brand white, as well as a colorant from an amazon pack and neither hold a solid white. I have done batches where I add more and more but it never seems to be opaque, and I have to stop adding after a point obviously. I do the layer of clear and then the white, before blowing the white over, but it just immediately blends in with the clear and makes it all milky. I've tried this with basically all varying levels of heat. If I do a stripes along the waters edge to strengthen the "foam", it just gradually seeps in with the rest of the milky clear. No matter what I do, I get no cells, torch or heat gun. I have gone through videos and followed any bit of advice, from bringing the resin up to room temp, I've tried waiting a bit before blowing it, I've tried quite a few tweaks and by this point I'm thinking I just have the wrong white, maybe? Would you have any advice you could share? TY
Hi Sheri, I have a question about my double wicked candle drowning. Would you know why this is happening? Wicks burning through wax too fast, wicks not burning hot enough? Any tips will be appreciated 😊
LOVE THIS!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thx!! 😁👏👏👏👏🫶🏻
