  • A 220vac 12KW motor used "in reverse mode" will result in 220 vac - 6%" voltage. Thus: 206.80 vac !!!!!!!!!!!! Ditto for KW ----> 12 kw - 0.72 = 11.28 KW !!! I am interested in something like this to power the lathe, a 5-axis machining center, garage or yard lighting, etc. Obviously sized for the KW needed, looking for a motor that comes closest to my expectations. :)

  • I'm having a difficult time accepting that using magnets held in place with zip ties and hot glue on a structure with an error tolerance of several mm is producing 12kW. Is that 12 kW on demand or 12 kW / hour day.

    • You always will obtain less power from the alternator than the power of the motor driving it. The difference is lost in friction and heat. This system inevitably spends more power than it produces.

  • Cualquier motor se convierte en generador al ser movido por otro motor (no tiene sentido usar un motor ó taladro para moverlo y generar corriente,si yá la tenemos)El experimento deve ser para producir ele ctricidad,donde no lo hay.Y pensar que se puede hacer una eólica con ese motor,(hay mucha duda) Vá a depender de muchos factores (fuerza de viento,capacidad de palas,altura , horas de viento y finalmente velocidad ó rpm en el generador).Moverlo con otro motor,és simplemente para tener idea de que yá és un generador,nada más.
