I Speak To A Sick Lion, See What Happens The Next Day
Mfowethu, Casper the White Lion's brother, has not been feeling well.
We noticed his health declining drastically over the last three months.
We found him resting next to the road in the sun for the entire day and decided to speak with him.
Watch what happened the next day. A miracle, or did he listen to me?
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
- When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
- If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
- The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
- Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
- Never go off the designated roads
- Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
- Don’t hoot or blare loud music
- Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
- During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
- Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
- Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

I think this is in Kruger national Park. Not a private reserve. So it's open to the public. To my knowledge, they don't provide medical care in what are considered natural causes and circumstances. They will provide medical care if a lion is injured by a human. Like a snare or something like that. Otherwise nature must take its course. What a beautiful video. Very moving

This was such a heart warming video. I do believe animals know when they are being talked to and i think yes they understand. They have a 6th sense about them. He heard tou and knew what you was saying. We all love the Shishangaan coalition and we love the Satara pride!! It was thru tears watching this. We all have to face death one day no exceptions, that is a part of life. I have lost so many loved ones that i sometimes feel alone in a room full of people. As hard as it is it is a path we all will find one day. So yes to live we must die to die we must live. Just as we would not know happy unless we know sad. Its a process that finds us all. As sad as it is we must learn how to let go. Someone ask me why its so sad and heartbreaking to lose someone we love? They said because that was never Gods intentions for us to know death but since adam and eve did what God told them not to, death would be a part of life now. So that seems to make sense to me and i can deal with it better but it still hurts. I hope for him to keep in good health and i pray he will be around for many more years. This king is a good brother and a good protector and i wish him well. Thank you for talking to him he likes your accent as i do. This could have been a hunting injury or an injury if he claimed the tree and descended wrongly. I never saw any injuries to him from a fight or similar. He is holding that front leg very stiff. Young sick Lion, tranquilize him get him checked by a vet, helped, then released back into the wild.
Did you look for his brothers to guide him to them? You could give him some chickens with antibiotics inside. It's time to intervene. He looks weak.

I would speak to the game department about taking care of ailing lions. The one in the first video I watched (When an old lion can no longer hunt) …seemed so unnecessary. He had a wounded paw that may have been infected.

Why they don’t help him?
It looks like he has contracted tuberculosis. Male lions seem to have a higher susceptibility to TB than female lions , Ｉdon't know why?
For one male lions come in and steal the meat from the females for there protection, so they tend to eat the lungs and that is were tb hits the lungs so and I have heard that the females usually get it because they grab the buffalo by the throat and it affects that area too, therefor contracting the disease.

If he done that how is it going to help him? If he can't hunt he will die. Someone hunting for them is not helping you know how they say never feed a wild animal because it dies nothing for them if you feed them they have to hunt for self. That would just be prolonging the inevitable.
