  • Thanks for watching & subscribing y’all! I’ve been “sprucing” up my thumbnails to get some outside attention. The videos have and will always remain true to life and all real! Just needed to keep up with KZhead algorithms so getting a bit playful and having fun with the thumbnails now! Hope y’all are enjoying the videos! Going to Herkimer, NY soon to do more filming!!

    • I live right near Herkimer, NY. There is a place just 30 min south where you can dig really nice Travertine, Calcite crystals, and find Eurypterid fossils! All for free. If you are ever in Central NY and want to collaborate, I'll show you those spots. I'm going to upload a video showing off the Eurypterid fossils I have found there next Thursday. Great Video, Rocks and Minerals are Awesome!

  • Thanks for saving the turtle and putting him in the direction he was heading, a lot of people don’t realize that if they are heading somewhere you put them in the way they are facing because if you don’t they will just try to do it again which means a second crossing with more potential for harm. So thank you for that. Also, I’ve been watching all your videos recently me and my kids are trying to rock hound, just starting to learn, we live in NH and I know most mountain is a place to go, and I saw dig Maine gems that you have a video of, and also you finding amethyst in Maine we live in the white mountains on a lake, on a campground so we did some rockhounding on the lake and out in the woods where no one knows we go except my parents haha it’s kinda “untouched” it used to be a dump site so we have found a lot of trash- cleaning that up as we go but we have been finding a ton of smoky quarts, obviously granite cuz ya know granite state, and some very pretty other things that I don’t know what they are I wish I had someone to help identify all cuz now we kinda have a massive collection of rocks, but something the kids and I have found a lot of is meteor pieces I even found a really large one in the lake! My dad couldn’t and wouldn’t believe that my kid had a small meteor piece in between two magnets and my dads like “it’s because it’s so thin it’s just the magnets pulling together.” and I said oh yea? Got a bigger magnet and handed it to him and set quartz and the meteor peices down on the table I said go ahead try the quartz obviously nothing, then here you go try these, and he was then playing with it like a kid. Which was funny sense he didn’t believe us at first. I now have a jar started of all the small pieces I have found my son has some bigger ones the big one I found In The lake is bigger than my hand. Really pretty pinkish colors to it. But we have found a lot of pretty things that I don’t even know the names of. I guess I have a bit of a learning disability and my son has special needs and he’s always loved rocks he will collect them and give them to people as a way of showing love or friendship. He picks ones that makes him think of you. So needless to say anything he finds pretty he picks up, I’m kinda the same way, we can identify granite and rosé granite but there are so many things we don’t know and watching videos are a great resource but looking at something and trying to figure out what it is is fairly hard for me. I have one club I joined but it was fairly advanced group and I was let in because I’m trying to learn and find places local to bring my kids but people don’t want to sit there and be like ok that video your showing me is this or that picture is that. Which makes it really difficult for me because I’m trying but if someone could ID them for me then I can go off of that ID of ok now I know anything that looks like this is….. and so on. But your videos brighten my day and makes me excited to find more things, and find more places to go. I don’t have a lot of money, and I don’t have my kids full time I get them weekends and vacations and summer vacation but I did see that from watching your video of dig Maine gems that you can actually order dirt and when I told my son that he was like can you do that for my birthday but the thing is I know sense both my kids enjoy rock hounding and my oldest wants to be a geologist and is super into looking for fossils they said instead of going to a amusement park of their choice for their birthdays they would rather go on adventures to find fossils and rocks and crystals. My oldest son was a tiny bit mad he didn’t come out with me and my other son this past week, we where on the lake and my kid found an actual arrowhead when he picked it up I was like no way, cuz usually he would pick up pointy rocks and say look is this an arrowhead so when he picked it up I was like no F-ing way! Yes buddy that is an arrowhead my dad took a look and said it has to be at least 100years old. But idk who to go to find out more about it. So we went back out the next day to that spot to see if maybe we could find any more or any other type of artifacts and if not we can at least clean up glass and trash. We had a lot of rain- and all the landlocked areas the lake has now filled up and is all the way back to shore now so even though crystal clear water we can still walk in and look through the water to find things it’s not like going and digging through the silt and mud and clay and stuff looking. But now I found a new spot on the property that the kids haven’t been here this week and so I started digging this spot and I found some really interesting blue shiny thing it’s got layers it’s super weird but really pretty and when I showed my son he was like woah! So needless to say going back there and I’m finding some like greenish color rocks but some have smoky growing off of it. Really pretty. I think my kids and I would really like to find amethyst but yea. I wish I could travel with them and go to a place like this place, my kid would lose his mind finding something so pretty like that and I can picture his face which makes me really want to find something amazing like this because I really know he would love it and my other son would probably freeze looking at something so beautiful. So this year, this summer I’m really hoping we can go legit rockhounding some mountains but first I need to get some essential tools and first aid cuz I’m on a blood thinner and that in itself is an accident waiting to happen. Anywho, I really do enjoy your videos and your finds and the hard work you’ve put into it. I wish I could travel In an rv with my kids and do that. Anyways, keep doing your adventures and rock hounding! I love your videos man! Sorry I rambled and I’m not rereading the whole thing so I apologize for any spelling mistakes or whatever I’m not a really good speller even though I’m 32. Just something I’ve always struggled with. I guess goes with my learning disability, dyslexia really doesn’t help. So I apologize if I put PDBs where one or the other is supposed to go- those are the worst for me haha. Again imma keep watching your videos I also shared them with my kids. They really like them too!

  • It's so nice to watch a mining video where people are actually finding genuine gems and minerals out of actual pockets of material! Some of the other videos on YT are so contrived, retrieving gems out of 'host' rock that looks suspiciously like concrete mixed with stucco! Thanks for being real, and saving a turtle to boot!

  • Omg.. I've never even heard of this type of Hemitite...it's absolutely stunning!! And I always always always stop and take the tarapens across the road but I usually take them way way up away from the road on whichever side of the road they were going toward and if there's no field or woods or an area big enough so that it won't get turned around and get back into the road after I leave😁I love all animals more so than life itself

  • Bryan I am amazed at the most beautiful colours of the crystals you dug, they are gorgeous sweetheart. I've rarely seen anything like them before. Terry reminded me that we went to the Blue John mine shop I would have loved to have gone down the mine but I was on crutches because of my arthritis and it wasn't safe for me but I was shown a lot of the Blue John and Terry brought a piece for me which I treasure. It has similar colour and that blue is a wonderful shade and it sparkles, lovely. I had to laugh at Matrix making the ledge you made larger and then lying down for a rest on it, he is one cheeky little chap lol. Take care and stay safe please my friend God bless you both love and hugs to you and Matrix Mary-Ellen UK
