I Bought the Ultimate Racing SIM! - Triple 55" Monitors
The plan at Destination OG in Helen was to turn the room that is above the wash bay into a racing SIM area. My new friends at P1 Podium built me a brand new system. They call it the P1 Ultimate Package. It includes triple 55" Samsung curved monitors, full D-Box motion, 5.1 surround, and a whole lot more.

I'm also going to be installing a really cool theater seating viewing area from Valencia.

Stay tuned for more crazy!
Love my Sim from Podium 1, close friends of mine and super excited you got a LEGIT rig!
wait you do sim racing???
it’s crazy how good the room sounds. the whole house is coming together very nicely. It was awesome to see it in person. Wish the SIM was there when I stopped by I probably would still be there playing!
This is one sick setup Matt! I love the attention to detail in the room, how precise everything has to be setup, glad I’m not the only one like that 😂. Enjoy it you work very hard. 💪🏻
I am so glad you're getting a round wheel. Having both wheels is crucial for the full experience. This thing is awesome
I’m just getting into sim racing, and picked a (mostly round) Tahko wheel with my simucube 2 pro. Is an F1 style wheel really crucial to the experience ? My wheel has side grips and square bottom like an F1, but with a rounded top for versatility. But I’m not yet sold on the pure F1 wheels… the only benefit I can think of other than aesthetics/immersion would be higher torque forces from smaller/more rigid wheels? Downside = slightly higher risk of injury.
@@AdamsOlympia I think it depends on what you do. I drive mostly F1 cars and that was my first wheel choice. I got a round wheel later when I realized I like driving non race cars as well and they felt ridiculous using a formula style wheel. Hence my comment made here. I guess I was answering from the same perspective of this video of starting with the formula wheel and then getting a round wheel later. Where you are starting with round. So maybe not crucial for the full experience in that order. I use F1 wheel for formula cars, prototype, and gt3 cars. Then use my round wheel for everything else.
Looks pretty epic. Cool idea to have seating behind for people just hanging out on vacation or waiting their turn.
This is an EPIC sim setup. Stuff of dreams right here. NICE!
I have 2 Fanimation Odyn fans they’re 84”. I’ve had them for 6 years, now, and I know they’ve been updated, and now offer more fam speeds, but, they are completely balanced, even on setting 6 the only noise you hear out of them, is the air across the blades and only after setting 3 can you hear the air. I have one in my bedroom and one in my living room. 6 years now, they’ve been flawless. I run them both; daily, from about May until October.
Really going to have to look at staying a week in the future! Love the updates!
Amazing setup! Time to get an OG paint scheme up on trading paints for everyone to rock
We’ll get to work on it! Great idea.
nice gear bro and I appreciate that you let the tech guys try out your setup even though they are sweating a lot after the installation process
i just love the look on the big guy with the hat when the pc booted and the sound coming out. every guy is a child inside.
another detailer having this great hobby ;) what a great setup !!! Well done! Cheers from Germany
Congrats Matt, really nice Rig!
Insane setup, well done Matt.
Road Atlanta is one of my favorite tracks. Seeing how fast I could run my Ferarri SP 333 in Forza was an obsession...
Very cool , the entire room is epic . Great job, have fun 😊
That thing is nuts! Love it!!
That looks awesome and very expressive set up
Matt, can’t wait to stop by and check out the racing simulator looks amazing..
Wow! That setup is amazing. Podium1 makes a good product. I want to see Matt race on the Sim!
White glove service. Professional setup. 👍🏻
I recommend keeping software image/copy of the drive(s) and resetting them back to original settings after each guest. I 100% guarantee this computer will be full of spyware, malware and virus within a month unless there are some *serious* GPOs or software to keep things "locked down". Rig looks awesome though! Great addition
I don't think you understand how windows account management works by the sound of your comment. This is why administrator accounts exist and the whole account architecture. Also malware on windows 11 is more difficult to come by than you think with a valid license key.
@@PLr1c3r I don't think you understand how easy it is to bypass windows account controls/management when physically sitting at a PC. Under 5min a noob watching YT videos could "own" a Windows box (PC). I don't want to make this a controversial discussion. I'm only saying that PC needs locked down further than a normal Windows 11 install. The upvotes to my comment agree. Have a good day!
I have been in IT for over 20+ years and I have NEVER own any AV software and never got any issues with malware or spyware on my PC. You just need to learn where to go and what to look out for. The latest Window Defender actually does a pretty good job and it comes with Windows.
Wow, congrats on your success dude! That’s an awesome setup, just incredible.
Thanks!
An absolutely incredible setup. Matt was a visionary on what he wanted to do. But hardly anyone will figure out how to get it up and running.
@@xYuriTardidx I thought the same. It is an epidemic to put exaggerated statements while commenting. I don't get it either.
Really awesome Simulator Setup, thanks for sharing this.
So sick... that looks like a lot of fun.
Setup my first racing rig & really enjoying it. Just curious about 3x screen vs using a vr headset...pros/cons?
sick setup, I love your channel, I enjoyed the last one with the cooking too
We sport the same Handbrake and BDH shifter config - great choice, mate ;)
Hey team , what another awesome improvement idea for the house. Keep up the great work chasing excellence 👌
Thank you! Will do!
Great set up, not sure I saw the ultimate on their site yet :). That last guy doing heal toe was funny to see in a sim.
Congratulations on the newest toy for OG Helen! Podium 1 already has your rig on their website gallery.
Congratulations on an impressive setup. Truly a dream come true as you mentioned early in the video. Yes, I can only dream of such a rig but will make do with my low budget setup. It's been 3 months since you made this video, wondering if you've managed to find the time to devote to those 3 titles and how you're liking it so far? And a big thanks for sharing your experience with us, I was as excited watching it as you were recording it. Wishing you much enjoyment out of this impressive racing rig.
Since this is my vacation home that we let people borrow, I don't have much seat time it yet.
Great Stuff man! Hope you are still loving it! I´ve got similar setup in terms of screens... only my stand sucks. It would be SUPER if you could list every piece that makes the stand and the brand please (Center stand... connectors for the lateral stands... vesa mounts...) Thank you SO MUCH! Keep it up!
Matt, if you want the final touch for your rig, look into the high end tactile feedback over on Race Department. Involves installing Tactile Transducers and Exciters to the seat and pedal tray. Dbox does have tactile, but falls short for certain effects. Finally a harness with gbelt tensioner and you are at Ultimate Plus 😅. None of this is necessary, but if you’d like the best of the best out of your sim racing setup. Cheers
very impressive journey Def deserves more views
I BET YOU COULD NOT GET ME OUT OF THERE, FOR THE WHOLE DAY, GREAT WORK BRO.
I assume you’ve seen Boosted Media’s $100k setup? It’s absolutely insane. Ambient lighting effects, triple screens, full motion, huge computing power. I swear some of their videos look like real life.
Man......What A Sweet Setup!!!!!! I only wished I could have a setup like tthis for my racing games!!!!! LOL!!!! Great job!!!!!! Looks Awesome!!!! Congrats!!!!
One day is gonna be my day to unbox this baby. Congratulations dude! all the best
Omg what a beautiful fantastic set/sim😍 You know how to get things done right! Wow! Wished you are my neighbour 😂. Hope to see you on the track anywhere in the future. Keep posting, loved it
We all love the same, nice car, detailing and sim racing. I have a nice setup too. Mostly play ACC and Iracing. This is the way to go without going poor at racing car. 😅
this looks amazing
This is a bit of a rabbit hole to go down that I found about a year ago. Half the fun is upgrading and adding to the rig.
UPGRADING?? What else would you add to this?!
@@titusgroen Monitors moving with the rig would be the most important upgrade. The rig is there to simulate the car's motion but right now the seat and the car are not moving as one.
awesome rip … AC and mod cars and tracks are epic
One idea would be to install some sort of remote software like Team Viewer. That way someone from OG HQ can remote in to the sim computer to install updates or troubleshoot if needed.
One could use Remote Desktop Connection which is built in, so long as the system is accessible
Already done ✅!
That should be a default install for every client.
It is a default install on every rig that’s ever shipped from us.
Phenomenal set up. I'm in Aus and would love to install a set up like this. My current set up is good but not close to this
Beautiful home and a amazing setup sir 🔥🤙🏾
Absolute sick setup.. top of the line everything…
Looks like soooo much fun!!!!!!!!
Great to see a company that is pretty fair with the price. I could never work like this, imagine the tech support if your costumers cant install a simrig 😅
lol for 70k i would do all the tech support
I have to say being a big golfer, I'd take this anytime over golf! I can always go out to a range whenever, but you can't just go out to a track. :)
This so so true, seems like you golf often and might want a switch up…
building a half decent pc, get a copy of assetto corsa, and build a entry fanatec or moza, not professional equipment in my opinion but fanatec and moza are great ways to get into sim racing for under a grand and i promise you will not regret it...
If Matt really gets into this hobby the upgrades are gonna be insane, even tho this setup is already insane.
The next upgrade from this is a real car and entering Le Mans.
If? I didn’t watch the full video, so forgive me. Has he never done iRacing before?
Matt killed it once agin, per usual, this is SUCH a vibe. I am literally kicking myself for not booking Destination OG last year when I told my gf this thing is going to fast, but I'll get on the waitlist. Its only getting better, now we get rent a mf Porsche, are you kidding? Love everything Matt and team represent, an obsession and curated lists for us more average folk to simply "copy and paste" in our scenarios.
We're all booked up for this year I think. Definitely recommend getting on that list sooner than later.
Sweet setup!! What was the controller that the guys were using? Looks like a small controller/keypad w/ a trackpad on it..
I love that Keyboard.Anyone knows who makes that?Nice rig
Very nice and congrats. You do need another screen on top. The triple setup is best when unified in a single screen and the fourth on top is to keep active windows for other support functions without disrupting the main.
A fourth screen would make everything too crowded for the space.
@@ObsessedGarage YOu put the 4th monitor on top of the main monitor. It is a very popular way of mounting it.
Damn, that's awesome!
If you want a really Full Motion Simulator you should try the Racemore GT600
Great setup. I don't have the room for triple 55`s in my apartment. I have one 55`` OLED for most games and VR for racing sims.
Did they hook you up with screen defusers to merge the screens together, I got um on my setup n it really makes a difference.
Does P1 install 3 inch D-box actuators?
"I'm so good at buying stuff" - I felt that
Awesome Room setup, Sound proofing, and Racing Rig you selected to use. With a processor using an RTX-4090 and all the rest of the Racing Rig and monitors, I would hate to ask how much that entire Racing setup costs. I know being retired, I could not afford something like this now days. Enjoy your new room and racing endeavors. Thanks for the video. Take care.
Very cool set up.
Time for a OG iracing lobby and hosted races
Dont forget an OG racing livery for all the cars Matt likes 😍
I have to wait until one of our kids eventually moves out before I can upgrade to a full frame setup. And as much as I want a full motion rig, my priority is definitely monitors like that - compare to my current triple 23" s.
How is it DD from Asetek? Great video.
What are the odds. I have been researching sim setups for last two weeks. And one the best gets the best. Gonna have to look into this
Beautiful house, beautiful setup
Hey, what's the led references that you are using on the "hole" of your aluminium structure ?
So sick!
I like the triple display but a VR headset is a much more immersive experience IMHO. For a rental this does make sense though.
no, just...no. i have a full steering wheel, seat and a quest pro air linked to my 4090 powered pc and its great, but not that much better than my 49 inch neo g9, this setup is much better and more immersive. reason is the fov on vr headsets is to limiting and its a bulky thing on your head
Agree VR is next level. Especially since the Pimax Crystal/4090.
@@mainsource8030 You need to check out the new Big Screen Beyond VR headset. Smallest headset in the world with micro OLED panels. FOV is not bad too.
@@turbohenk702 Crystal is the best visual headset right now. However, it is still a big brick on your face. I was going to get the Pimax Crystal but I went with Big Screen Beyond due to its form factor. The FOV and resolution is not up to Crystal standards yet but way way more comfortable for endurance sim racing.
@@mainsource8030 So you are saying triple screens is like racing...without a helmet on haha racing is one of the few things having limited fov and a bulky thing on your head is more realistic. Depth of field is really the biggest game changer you get with VR.
Yeah - That's clean!
What make and model is the surround system please? Nice setup.
You are probably going to have to film an instruction video for renters if they want to use this thing.
In process 👊
Should nix the big ass fan idea. Those things are super loud aren’t they? Just run the ac. Wonder if doing something like this will help with the panic attacks?
What an awesome setup! You know one of the most frustrating things for my in my sim setups for both racing and flying is the hardware connections to TV's. The issue seems to be the DP to HDMI along with correct frequency cables, etc. Always kicks my butt and experimentation gets very costly. I haven't looked at the outputs specs of your GPU but I'm gonna guess 3-4 DP's and 1 HDMI. Pretty sure your monitors are just HDMI connection and there comes the problem. What conversion hardware for DP -> HDMI are you using. I have perused many sim setup videos and that part always seems to get overlooked. I realize this may be an elementary question, but man has this kicked my butt for years so much that I have currently settled with a single monitor and the Tobii eye tracker which IMO has some issues. Any feedback would be appreciated but not expected as you're probably too busy racing. ;>) Have fun and again I commend your setup!! Thanks for the vid.
Love it and it's badass... I just could'nt have someone else build my rig for me lol. To me thats the fun of it all. None the less this is still an epic setup. 3 Ark's.... what you do for a living!
DOOOOOOOD. That's sick.
Wow.. fantastic system.. just saw a price estimate...you need to get monitor seam covers.. that's it..👍🏽
Nice setup... All you need now is Automobilsta 2
Wish there was a video on how to setup the Monitor software... I have almost the same setup except in a flight sim with the 3 same monitors and graphics card
@28:00 At first I was like, "why doesn't he just use the look button" , and then I clued in and said "Omg I need a triple monitor setup asap."
I have a much more basic sim rig, no motion, trakracer cockpit and it's complicated for someone to use without me being there to walk them through it. I would think that if you're renting the house with this as a value add they're going to be quicker to jump into Assetto Corsa than iRacing.
also with Assetto corsa you can add mods from SOL and basically any track/car you can think of and its awesome, essentially any track for free or super cheap ($20) vs iRacing where everything is pay to play
We’ve got ACC and Forza 5 downloaded and ready as well.
Not sure how a non iRacing person is going to use it without an account? They can’t have an account everyone will share……
@@ChandlerWellingdo u guys sell the podium one software. I also sent you guys an email on the website looking looking to purchase some items. Awesome build.Great job
What would be great would be a 4th monitor for the spectators that shows an overview of the race in the same way you’d see a race on TV! I know, I’m a genius. Yw! Namaste/Shalom! 🙏🏽
I went on the website this costs: $79,934.00 USD.
Still cheaper than real racing long term!
Yeah but the company charges a massive premium. Around 2x the material cost. This is still an expensive rig but if you did it yourself(which you can it’s all off the shelf parts) it’d be around $40k
Great hobby !!!!! Gongrats from my side you are part of the 1% op youchubers thats got shit figured out totally!!!!! Even your sound talking is 110% well done Brother .
Amazing job! This is my dream setup. Currently building it one piece at a time, starting with Simucube 2 pro, some good pedals and a new 4090 PC. Currently running a single 65” LG C1 but would love to eventually get triple curved monitors. Do you run all of your equipment off the same power circuit? I may have to hire an electrician to wire up access to another circuit in my sim room, as I’m concerned that 1800 watts would be exceeded on the single circuit I have available atm.
Yes, it only draws a few amps, so a single normal outlet is good.
lol I was using a system almost identical to this setup in every way nearly 15 years ago now... same sized screens, same (well, better) motion, same sound system layout - only I also had full 3D, multiple tactile transduers and wind simulation. You're living in the past buddy 😮
Prove it.
Nice setup
This is awesome! I want one!
"I'm so good at buying stuff" 😅 That you are!! That is an insane setup. Awesome 👌
Lol who said that?
@@555fourthstreet8 😅 The guy behind the camera, who the lads are putting the rig together for 👌 Sorry, I should have time stamped it
@@footdownracing lol thanks. Thought you originally were talking about Matt. Was confused at first because someone else picked out the parts to out together.
Nice BDH Shifter. I use the ProSim myself.
Can someone tell me what brand rug and acoustic pad was installed, it was so hard to hear with how bad the room sounded initially before the rug treatment
That's a amazing setup for sure !! But if Matt would do it his own way he would end up with a very different setup. Starting with no goofy RGB lights, small factor pc build, a beefy audio system and a GSI HyperP1 steering wheel or a Grid Engineering Porsche RSR wheel and a carbon fiber Porsche bucket seat to finish off.
He’s got a GSI wheel coming 😊
@@ChandlerWelling They’re great !! Recently got a HyperP1 and it’s impressive.
I think the people at Podium would know a bit more as far as components to put together and overall setup. Obviously the setup would be different if someone else put it together.
@@555fourthstreet8 like I said that’s a great setup. Nothing wrong with it. But if you dig a little you will find a better selection of components. I’m not questioning their selection. Those are probably the companies that they got better margin of profit for resale. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
@@Barbosa81 I mean other than the little PC speakers its pretty top of the line. the shifter is from a small one man company hand making a full billet shifter. it arguably doesn't get better than that shifter. the wheel base is very good. SFF pc are just plain stupid. I agree about the RGB but its easy to turn off/ unplug.
Tune in next week when matt punts the logitech speakers in favor of Dynaudio LYD5 and a Sub18S This is seriously cool, if i was in the market for a 30-50k racing sim i would rent Helen for a week for sure to make sure i didn't puke.
Will you try bezel free fresnel diffusers on screens?
The price just went up!
I don't think having a motion rig as well as in game motion enabled is a bright idea, but great sim rig overall! Also playing Forza in a simrig is insane lmao
Could you please explain why you don't think it's a good idea? Kinda weird comment to post without any explanation whatsoever as to why you think this?
lol imagine paying for this setup to play forza lol
