The Hokage didn't like the appearance of Orochimaru, not because he was a woman, but because of what it means he did. Which I'm not sure I could explain without spoilers, but I'm pretty sure they explain it in detail, if I remember right. I'm kind of biased towards Gaara, since he's always been my favorite character. xD My second character changed a lot over the years, but Gaara was always the favorite.
