Timeless wisdom from the Messenger
Even as a “mainly” conservative, white guy in his twenties, I find this man to be a phenomenal community leader *FOR HIS ERA!* You don’t have to 100% agree w/ men like Elijiah, WD Fard, or even Malcom X and others to find inspiration in their messages and teachings. Whether they were “legit” or “frauds” (as Hoover and the majority of our agencies/law enforcement swore at the time), these men were at the very least deserving of a little respect for their work as motivational speakers and leaders who changed society. It’s sad looking back at the way we treated these civil *AND* HUMAN rights icons back then, only for time to prove that the real terrorist, extremists were the ones led by the man who made most of the accusations.

Advocating for a separate black state/nation though was a good thing, but he wasn't the first, Marcus Garvey, etc PRESIDENT Monroe, etc advocated for a separate state and or repatriation back to Africa, as Garvey's movement was called.
